For the money, I think this is good value. Included in the set are- 1 boy, 1 girl, window, door, windscreen, wheels, fence, 15 roofing bricks, 2 eyes, 2 flowers, Flat/thinlayers- 2 spot- 5, 1x4- 6, 2x3- 2, 2x8- 2, 4x2- 4, 10x4- 1, 6 arches, normal bricks- 2 spot- 15, 2x4- 6, 1x4- 2, 1spot- 5, 2x2- 12, 3x2- 4, 1x8- 1, plus a few other little bits. There are some helpful ideas on the box and the pictures are clear enough to see how to make them. The 10x4 plate is good but a bigger baseplate would have been handy! Why are they so rarely included and you can only buy big ones?! It is a good set to add to either your existing collection, or to add to in the future if it is your first set.

A lovely spin on the familiar Basic/ Creator play patterns for younger builders (and er, me!). There's a good mix of standard Lego bricks and specialist bricks to keep you entertained, reimagining and rebuilding. The initial build of the set has plenty of role play possibilities, with a solid (albeit slightly flat) house, garden furniture, cute dog (assembled out of bricks!) and a nice little car. The booklet also gives you ideas for another house and farmstead. The set is improved above others in this series by including two minifigures, rather than just one! All in all, a cute little set with some nice features and fun!

When my daughter recently went from Duplo to Lego, we first purchased this little collection. Though there are perhaps not a lot of bricks there certainly are a great variety. She is still a bit young to follow instructions (3 y.o.) but she had me building all the builds showed on the box: "I want that, and that - and now you must build this one mummy - oh and this..." It was really fun and as her collection will grow, these bricks can be incorporated into greater builds along the way.

A great starting place for little fingers to work out a bit of control and can build whatever you like obvious as well as what's on the box, great for starting a collection. My boy is 5 and still likes to see if he can build towers that are bigger than himself and us then laugh like a child should when he knocks it over and it explodes everywhere, a great way to get their imaginations working which is the best bit for me listening to his ideas and thoughts

As a child I had many lego sets and it was of no suprise that my almost 4 year old loves lego. The pieces are quite small for a 4 year old so I would suggest they are supervised at all time as these bits are a lot different to Lego Duplo. He can still manage it and equally loves it to playing with the big duplo pieces. Supervision is a must so no bits get put in the mouth, but a great toy to keep the kids out of mischief.

I bought this set as a start of a collection for my grandchildren. Lovely bright colourful bricks, durable in nature.It has entertained both adults and children alike this Christmas and takes me back to my own childhood. I can definitely recommend Lego as value for money plus it stimulates the brain with all different ideas of objects to build.

A fun house set of legos, the booklet comes with three ideas and 7 ways to play I guess however it depends on your imagination. You can also mix it with other lego sets with more plain bricks and use this set's door and window. A fun toy. Smaller pieces are really very very small so not suitable or safe for kids under three even to watch.

I bought this for my 4 year old grand-daughter and she loved the whole set. With help and guidance by an adult, she was adept at building the little bricks onto each other and the resultant models gave her pleasure. Nice looking little girl model and also the car which rolled easily on its wheels.

We bought this for our 4 yr old daughter to add to her relatively small lego collection and she just loves it. Building it is a bit beyond her for now but she's happy to find the right bricks for us to put together and it'll come with time. A reasonable price for the fun that she gets from it.

Lego is generally expensive but long-lasting, however this set seems to be a real bargain with a large selection of bricks that can form various little houses and cars and comes with 2 figures. I remember as a kid how much lego to expect for £8 and this seems to be more than I ever got :-p

Not many fancy unique pieces in this set; it's a much more familiar set to those who used to play with the old style Lego where the blocks are simple and much more usable with other sets. My niece really enjoyed it and to be honest, there's not much that can go wrong with buying Lego!

I bought this as a small gift for my daughter to take to a five year old classmate's birthday party. As it includes a surprising amount of building pieces + a car and figure, I thought it was very good value for money. The recipient (girl) was very pleased with it.

I bought this for my niece and she really loved it. She liked the little people and the fact you could change the characters roles as well as the little house and dog. Lots of hours of play without being bored.

possibly write a bad review about lego. Ok, all lego is relatively expensive but when you consider the fun kids get out of it ( and grandkids) it's a great investment. A good start to a collection.

Item arrived quicker than estimated date originally given. Great service. Was bought as a gift so have no first hand use of it, however child seems happy and enjoys playing with it.
