Lego Friends sets are always a hit with my daughter and she was delighted to received this Snow Resort Ice Rink for Review. It is aimed at 6-12 year olds (she is ten) and includes a skating lodge, with revolving stage, a seating area to relax and have a snack, an ice rink, with ice hockey goals and sticks, plus a home for Moka the bunny. There are also two figures – Stephanie and Nate. The set itself has 307 pieces, with three bags of bricks, stickers and instructions. There are lots of extra accessories – including mugs, skates, a croissant, pretzel, a saxophone and microphone, for use on the stage, etc. This is great fun to build, but it is even more fun to play with. I love these sets – they all combine really well.It is nice that you get different characters in each and you usually get one of the main Lego Friends (in this case, Stephanie) and then a lesser known character, such as Nate. A lovely set and a good addition to the range.

Like all the Lego Friends Range this is a very nice set of Lego suitable for children aged 6 to 12. The pieces come in three separate bags, the base pieces, accessories, plus new people and a rabbit, instructions and the inevitable sheet of stickers. Although there are a lot of pieces the set isn't too difficult for a child of that age range to put together, and doesn't take that long either. This set is about the standard size for the Lego Friends range, coming in at just over 300 pieces, so it shouldn't take too long to put together, although younger ones may appreciate some help with it.Once put together the set comprises an ice rink, skating lodge, stage, and picnic area, plus, of course,a ton of accessories that will inevitably grape-seed spurt out of somebody's fingers and bounce all around the floor. This is a brilliant addition to the Lego Friends collection, with a nice winter feel to it.

All Lego is worthy of five stars, this I would go as far as to say I would give ten if I could. Another fabulous set from the Lego Friends collection, this one featuring Nate and Steph, not forgetting Moka the bunny. Specified ages are 6 to 12 years, I would say a six year old will easily manage the mini figures and smaller pieces without help but for the larger construction will need some adult intervention. The older child will manage this easily by themselves and there is a very easy to follow comprehensive instruction booklet included if they get stuck. This is part of a new range brought out for the festive season and when constructed does not take up too much space when on display.Lego never fails to thrill and is something that can be passed down from generation to generation. This is brilliant value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending for a fantastic gift for a lucky child.

Appropriately enough for the season, Lego has released a series of winter / snow themed sets in its Friends range. This one features an (admittedly rather small) ice rink for skating or a game of ice hockey - complete with puck and goals - plus there's a skate hire booth, snack bar and a stage for live entertainment or possibly karaoke. As usual it's all decked out with cute details and in the now-traditional Friends bright colours. The box contains three bags of parts, instruction book and a small sheet of stickers (less than usual). It's a fairly simple build suitable for ages 5 and above. Lego is never cheap but the value comes in being able to rebuild, adapt and combine the set with all your other Lego bricks.A nice little build which young Friends fans will want to add to their collection, particularly if they own the other winter-themed sets.

This is another lovely set from the Lego Friends Snow Resort, new this year. This set is one of the mid-sized sets, which has lots of playability - with the store where you can buy equipment, like hockey sticks, so that you can head out onto the ice rink for a game - or maybe you want to go ice skating? After all that fun and excitement, you might just want to chill out with a hot drink and a snack in the seating area or play/listen to some saxaphone music. There are three characters: Stephanie, Nate and a little brown bunny - but of course all the Lego Friends are invited and we bring many from other sets to come and join in the fun.Fun to build and fun to play with - I don't know any children in the age bracket who wouldn't love this as a present

This nice little set took my daughter a couple of hours to put together. The ice rink is a new item and it was really interesting to have the mini figures on skates with hockey sticks. There is a 'lodge' which is some kind of stage with two shops (windows) and a separate bunny hut. There's quite a few pieces to build, but they are small and it was not too challenging. I'm not entirely sure why there would be a bunny at an ice rink, but that's just a minor niggle of this fun set (I especially like the hockey sticks and puck).

My seven-year-old daughter completed this by herself thanks to the excellent instruction booklet. She did need help with the stickers but after that ... role play away! With regard to construction there are a lot of very small parts so I find using a large tray with a tea towel in it very useful to stop the inevitably dropped pieces bouncing off the table (sometimes) into oblivion. The two characters' ability to skate has resulted in requests from my daughter to go to a real ice rink ... I'm not so keen!

While I'm not really a fan of the separate girly Lego sets, I do rather like this one. It includes an entertainment area with stage, eatery & ice skating shop and an ice rink plus lots of accessories including hot chocolate mugs, pretzel & croissant and ice hockey gear plus 2 figures (Stephanie & Nate) and a little rabbit. Not too much building but it offers lots of intricate role playing opportunities, plenty to play with as a standalone set if you don't have more of the ski resort collection.

Great Lego toy, as you get to put it together and then you get to play with the resulting toy. And by 'you' I mean your kids of course, not the adults ;) Lots of little bits which will probably end up getting lost, but really a good price for a good Lego toy which will occupy the little ones. This one makes a cute skating rink with little accessories and characters included. My box arrived a bit squashed though which may make a difference if you're giving this as a gift.

Daughter loves Lego Friends and she loves ice skating so bought this to add to her collection along with the ski lift and hot chocolate van. Bought as a Christmas present so she hasnt had it yet but I'm confident she'll love it.

Granddaughter loves her Lego and this ice rink and add ons was no exception. Great idea, fairly easy to assemble for a 5/6 year old with help from dad! Lego is never cheap, but the quality of product can’t be beat.

So good! My ten-year-old daughter was able to build this on her own and hasn't stopped playing with it. There is loads to it to keep her fascinated for hours. The ski lift is fully functioning and great fun.

6-year old Grace loved making this - although some of the very tiny parts (for example the ice skates) were a little difficult so she needed help from her 9-year old "Lego expert" brother.
