My kids love a bit of Duplo. It is the simple version of LEGO and is far more colourful and chunky, so it is attractive to younger children. The 'Tropical Island Building Set' is a great example as you get loads of blocks to play with, but also an entire situation that makes a child's imagination run wild. The scene appears to be a family who have made a life among the trees in a tropical paradise - it is up to you to add a tragic backstory about how they got their if you wish.A child will just love all the different characters and animals. Elephants, tigers, monkeys, toucans, these alone are great to play with.

As a lego enthusiast i find it important to get the little ones interested in lego from an early age, Thats why they made lego duplo!Seriously tho, this is a brilliant introduction to big lego sets for your little one. Its got plenty of nice large figures, including a tiger and elephant family a toucan and the all important monkey!The monkey has a branch to side down, the tree house has an actual lift (hurrah! i really wanted a garage with a lift when i was a kid) There are fruit (pineapple and bananas) plus people, flowers, camera and a teapot.There cant be many little kids that wouldnt enjoy playing with this set,

This is a really lovely Lego set. With so many items there is enormous build and play potential. The characters and people are very cutely realised (though I'm surprised that there's a small boy character but not a girl). Being Duplo, it is certified at being 2 years +, though I'd say it was ideal for children a little older, perhaps 3 to 5. There are a number of moving parts and lots of individual components that allow children to construct stories for even greater play opportunities. The set is quiet large, so will take up quite a lot of floor space. Perhaps a small consideration if you have a small living area and already have a Lego collection.Overall a lovely set that any child will

Lego Duplo is a excellent brand, particularly with regards to quality. We've got duplo that our children had and it's still being played with by our grandchildren. The sets provide an endless source of inspiration for firing up little imaginations, and this one with its tropical theme is no exception. Lots of lovely colourful pieces, such as animals and people. As well as odd bits like a teapot, a camera and pineapples, mean there's lot of scope for great imaginative play. A really lovely set, and although they're always more on the expensive side, well worth it due to its doubtless longevity.

This large playset is really easy to assemble by an adult or older child - the blocks are a lot bigger than standard lego - once it is assembled it is great and easy to use! I have a four year old and a 6 year old and they absolutely love it - especially the animals and figures!!!The set says for ages 2+ but I think personally its more of the 4+ age group!It comes complete with 3 posable figures and 6 animals - my kids and their friends love making up stories as they play - it really has got their little imaginations going!!!Its great quality - and hours of fun!!!!

This is a large Duplo set suitable for 2-4 year olds The theme is 'tropical island' and it contains human figures as well as animals: tigers, elephants, a monkey and a toucan. There are also palm tress and tropical fruit as well as enough blocks to make a couple of buildings including a hoist. It's good for imaginative play as well as socialising and would make a lovely present for a young child.

I always thought of Duplo being separate to Lego, it is in fact just a set aimed at your children so bigger pieces (harder to swallow) but compatible for standard Lego.This set features characters, animals (elephants, tigers, a monkey and a toucan) and various blocks for a tropical island.It's got lots of potential for imagination and I think it makes a great gift.Recommended.

Duplo is a great off shoot of the ever popular Lego, designed for litter kids with slightly clumsier mitts. This'Tropical Island' set contains the doings for a couple of elaborate island shelters plus the greatest array of out-of-place animals (elephants, tigers, puffins, monkeys) since the first Madagascar film. All the fun of a shipwreck without ay of the inconvenience.

This is a lovely set containing bricks to build a jungle den and plenty of animals to play with. We got it for our 3 year old but our 5 year old has engaged with it much more - following the instructions to build and playing with the set as a whole. Our youngest really only plays with the animals. I would therefore recommend this more for older Duplo fans.

My two boys 4 and 1 and a half absolutely love this set, and in our big box of duplo so many pieces of this set get used - the teapot, the pineapple, the rope, the swinging bridge which they find hilarious to tip things off when just placed not secured on. They play most days with it for the past six months and it still looks good as new.

Great quality & the animals provide an extra fun dimension to the normal Duplo bricks. There are also some flexi strips that the monkey can hang off, similar to the fuel nozzles in the car sets which are brilliant. We managed to build lots of variants. Hours of entertainment, even for the attention span of three year old.

I surprised my 4 year old son who loves animals with this set and he’s been playing with it all weekend and having a great time. All the animals are bigger than I expected and really sturdy. The set was easy for us to build together and fun too. Really pleased with this.

Plenty here to keep youngsters busy at play. This set will really fire up the imagination.The Amazon pictures show exactly what you're getting.The only thing missing is a vehicle. So perhaps by adding another Duplo set to this would be a great idea.

Bought for nephew he loves it. Lots of interesting pieces, could be more bricks but the tigers and elephants were met with much excitement. Great purchase.

Bought this for grandson’s xmas present. He loved it! Very good for imaginative play, and can be added on to with more sets.
