Our daughter was absolutely over the moon with this. Although her Frozen obsession has shrunk a little in order to make space for Moana and Trolls (and Lego Movie and Tangled and Secret Life Of Pets and Peanuts and lots of other expensive merchandise-related things), Frozen still has a special place in her heart and she’s been playing with this non-stop since we got it, to the extent where she gets upset if she’s told it’s time to sleep or go to school. With very little help from me, she built it in one single sitting of just over three hours. It’s a straightforward build, with the usual clear instructions where there’s a lot of steps, but each step is very small and easily understood. It looks lovely, not a particularly close match for anything in either the movie or Frozen Fever (the characters’ costumes are from the latter) but a very pretty house-with-very-pointy-roof. The interior is quite open-plan. There are so many bits and pieces (characters, beds, fireplaces, accessories etc.) that you end up running out of floorspace (in Lego terms) and we borrowed some baseplates from a different set in order to make it stop feeling quite so cramped.I could have a ramble about how Lego is too prescriptive these days. All the pieces seem far too specific, so you can only really build the castle in one very particular way which can limit the imagination somewhat- “in my day we made do with a pile of 2x4 normal bricks and made what we wanted”, that kind of thing. But I’m sure over time this castle will get disassembled and rebuilt in a variety of ways, as that’s what happened (to my surprise) with the ice castle she already had.So it’s a definite success in our household, so while I might have some extremely minor quibbles (such as the plant stem bits being too floppy), my daughter won’t allow me to give it anything less than 5 stars...

My ten year old daughter loves anything to do with Frozen, and Lego is always great fun, so this was always going to be a winner. The set has a Frozen Fever theme, with everything ready for Anna's birthday celebrations. The set is aimed at 6-12 years and there are 477 pieces, many very small, so this is not for young children - especially as the small pieces could be a choking hazard. This took my ten year old about an hour to put together, with a little help from her older brother and it stands at just over 28cm at the highest point (just below the height of an average length ruler). As such, it is not the largest Lego set, but, as always, the instructions are excellent and there is plenty of play potential. There are figures of Elsa, Anna and Olaf; plus three of the little Snowgies (or Snowbabies) which appear in the "Frozen Fever," short film. A slide takes characters from the top of the castle to the bottom, and there are lots of little extras - a birthday cake, goblets, an envelope with an invitation (or birthday card), etc. So, once made, this offers lots of opportunities for imaginative play. However, most of the joy of Lego is in making it and the instructions are excellent and easy to follow, the details good and the pieces of good quality. Great fun and this kept my daughter occupied quite happily for the first day of the school holidays and will undoubtedly be much played much with.

Having spent a lot of her time (and over the years, my money) on Lego, my seven-year-old daughter has been playing with this set pretty much every day for the last month playing with it every day. From an adult's point of view I find this style of Lego just a little one-dimensional because the child follows a series of detail diagrams to produce exactly what the designer intended. I have to say it requires a lot of concentration from one's child and should something go wrong where the child has moved on unsupervised it can take quite a lot of parental detective work to get the project back on course. My experience here is to always be around and set targets such as the number of pages my daughter can progress through and then stop so I can check. We spent around four hours over a week getting this together and (as I mentioned at the start) my daughter just loves it. I am particularly pleased that the set includes the figures of Elsa, Anna and Olaf; plus three little Snowgies making it easier for my daughter to 'get in the zone'.Anything not to like? Well apart from the one-dimensional nature of the set, then no, no there isn't and given the enjoyment my daughters (my other daughter is aged nine) get with the finished project then there isn't much to criticise (but you do need plenty of space because when it's built it's staying that way!

Very cute castle to replay iconic scenes from the classic movie. This must be one of our favourite Disney princess castles given the size, soft tone colour combinations, the party decoration and the many accessories to enhance the play value. Both Anna and Elsa wear some new special dress variants that we didn’t own yet. However the star of the set is of course Olaf and his babies from the Frozen mini cartoon. The castle itself includes many interesting play-elements included like cake table, there is a magical clock that stores skates, a nice bedroom and a present box.The built of this 477 piece set took a bit of time but it was not too demanding. It took our daughter 1.5 hour and I only had to intervene a couple of times to assist with the stickers.Given the figures included and setting the castle offers lots of play value. It is great for young princesses to combine it with their other Disney Lego sets, ensuring hours of fun and adventures. Aside from the high quality of the toy and perfect presentation, one the best qualities of Lego is that it combines, play and construction. This set is no exception.Lego remains an excellent gift

This medium-sized Lego set is based on Arendelle Castle from Disney's Frozen. The castle features two levels - a hall / living area downstairs and a bedroom upstairs with icy slide descending to the front garden. It comes complete with main characters Elsa and Anna plus sidekick snowman Olaf and is full of lovely little details, including a fountain, fireplace, plus a table set for a party complete with cake and balloons. It's a fairly easy build for children of about six years and up - the only grown-up help required was with the placement of stickers, of which there were quite a lot. As always with Lego, it isn't cheap - but it's well made and the value comes from the endless rebuilding possibilities. It combines with any Lego bricks, and fits in particularly well with the Friends range as the little figures are the same size. Sure to delight any young Frozen fan.

I must admit that I buy quite a fair amount of Lego throughout the year (Friends, Disney, Elves, Juniors, City and now DC Super Hero Girls) as both my children and I love it and I don't think you can really go far wrong with Lego which I also remember playing with and loving when I was a child too. In addition to receiving one of the 41068 sets to build, I have also bought another set and so the verified purchase label may show correctly against this review. Both of my children love Frozen and we also have the older

My daughter is getting to the age now where she is starting to ask for toys like Lego .I saw this and instantly knew she would love it.It is very good quality and easy to put together. This set is actually great and would make a great gift for any Frozen and Lego fan.She loves it and it keeps her quiet so gives me some peace and quiet too lol :-)

A Lego fan daughter loves it. Whats more to say? Follows the same lines as other Disney Lego sets, a working format that provides ample pieces, easy to follow instructions on a 'Frozen' theme. Price plays a big factor, so if you manage to purchase at less than retail, this is a set, that any Frozen fan will love.

My 7 year old daughter loves this. She started making it straight away, with only a bit of help from her older sister now and again. As usual it is of the high standard you expect from Lego. I bought this in the sale so it was a good deal.

This is beautiful. My 5 year old daughter and I built it in a few hours. We both really enjoyed it. She was itching to complete and play with it by the end but the occasional sticker to put on kept her interest. A beautifully crafted toy.

Great toy as always with Lego. My granddaughter was so happy with her present. The package came well wrapped (very important with Lego for collectors because the box also ha sits value).Delivery was speedy even to Belgium.

My daughters first big build and she enjoyed making it with only a little assistance! It's sturdy when built and has been played with a lot! Love the little frozen characters! The attention to detail is fantastic!

Got this for my god daughter who is 6, she loved it and with very little help built the whole thing. Lovely addition to the other two sets she plays the whole film out across all three sets now.

My daughter is 7 and this is her first big Lego set. She's had loads of fun building it (with a little help from me) a fun activity to do together. Comes with figures too which she loves!

This is one of the second wave of sets Lego introduced after Elsa's castle. This is from the birthday celebration video that came out after the original Frozen movie. Great set!
