This is one of the first Creator sets we have built (other than a dinosaur set that I bought for my Son last year as we don't usually buy this range) and I loved every minute of this build and both of my children have really enjoyed helping to build the set and playing with it afterwards. The set is a 3-in-1 set and so not only can you build the main Camper Van but you can also use the existing bricks to rebuild either a Lifeguard station or a beach buggy.Age Suitability:-The set is suitable for 8 years olds and over and I do think that this age range is about right as both of my children who are younger than 8 did struggle with the build which is why it ended up being built mainly by myself. The set is a small sized build and has approximately 379 pieces with some spare smaller parts too.Figures:-The set comes with a female and a male minifigure and the female also has a dual sided head so that her facial expression can be changed.Features:-So fair we have built just the Camper Van as my Children don't want me to build the other two yet as they are happy playing with the Van for the meantime. The van has a removable roof and opening side to allow easier play access and it is a really cute little build with some nice details such as a cooker inside the van and even an outside barbecue and chairs.A really lovely set and a nice build but it does have some trickier bits that younger children may struggle with. I don't know if I am fully converted to the Creator range but if I spot any nice looking sets like this in the future I will certainly buy them alongside our usual Lego purchases.

There will be hours and hours of play in this set, between constructing the various toys (from the intricately detailed camper van to the simpler Lifeguard’s Tower, plus beach buggy and barbecue set-ups) and in playing with them. There are two figures, one male and one female, and somehow the styling of the people and the campervan feels very 1970s to me. As well as all the (small and complicated) parts to build the main creations and their accessories, you can get access to the Lego Creator App which offers games, competitions, and the chance to upload your own creative efforts. What’s the kit itself like, then? Well,it’s one of the simpler Lego Creator kits but still comprises over 200 pieces and careful sorting is necessary to manage the mix-and-match nature of the potential to build different toys. Children do seem to find this kit reasonably intuitive; my nearly 10-year-old tester would be confident enough with working away at it over a number of hours – but the context of the 70s beach lifestyle probably goes over his head. You could have a lot of fun recreating favourite episodes of Baywatch or Scooby Doo with this – if you are of an age to hold those shows dear from your own childhood. As it is, the usual Lego build quality (and of course interchangeability with all other standard sets, adding to the enormous crate full of random “bits”) makes for fun and robust toy cars to play with. All in all this is probably one more for people in their 30s and 40s than the stated 8-12 age range, but none the worse for that.

This bright and breezy set comes in 379 pieces in 4 bags and with 3 manuals - one for each of the 3-in-1 options. First things first, if you are new to these 3-in-1 creator sets then be aware that you can only build one model at a time. So if you want all three at once then you will need to buy 3 of these sets. Ahhh, those Summer Days! Driving down to the beach in your camper van, setting up the barbecue, and beach chairs and table... riding your board over some megatastic waves... what more could you want? A hot sports car you say? OK, driving down to the beach in your sports coupé... riding your board over some megatastic waves... Now what?! You need to get there because you work there...Fine! You jump on your off-roader and zip across the sand to you Lifeguard station and all already you can see a surfer dude heading for a cataclysmic wipe out! Well, whatever your story this set has got you covered! The camper van comes with all the mod cons and was an easy build, the side opens up for access and all the accessories pack away on board in ingenious ways! The sports coupé car is a fun little build with room for a surf board on the back. Finally the Lifeguard Station (probably my favourite of the set) is detailed and was easy to assemble. The two mini-figures suit the set and as usual it doesn't take much to modify it if you want to use any of the three models with your LEGO Friends figures. Good fun and priced reasonably it means you can get three sets if you want all 3 models at once!

Though I much prefer buildings, this little camper van is incredibly sweet and a nice addition to my son's (ahem) Leg collection. We already own a Lego camper van and while that had a sort-of RV style, this has a much more surf-vibe to it. It recalls the style of the most iconic camper vans, though isn't entirely a copy of them. There are a great number of accessories and your two minifigs can choose to lounge in the sun, cook a barbecue, go for a surf or even lounge in the van watching TV. The minifigs have nice detail and the female has an alternate face. The level of detail is about right for a model of this scale and has plenty of scope for play. The build was successfully completed by my eight-year-old,with minimal input from me (he does tend to rush ahead). There was nothing particularly challenging and he got a great deal of enjoyment from it. There are some interesting pieces that I hadn't seen before, so if you are a collector of Lego pieces, you might find a few you haven't got.As for playability, my son really enjoys this one and he's had a few adventures with the set already.I'm sure this will be one of 2018's sought-after sets.

While many adults cant afford the real thing as far as campers go .. a proper VW camper, so they buy a cheaper alternative, the same principle can be applied to adults and children alike as far as Lego goes .. cant afford the £85.00 10220 1962 T1 VW camper, then this is a great alternative.A cute, smaller, cheaper & easier to build and actually more playable camper van / surfer style vehicle - complete with 2x suitably scaled minifigures & additional accessories.Over 350 pieces can make the Camper, or when that is disassembled the pieces can make a Lifeguard tower & quad bike or an open topped beach buggy type car - now that's the versatility you get with a Creator 3 in 1 kit ..brilliant value all round.Simple & well laid out instructions as is the norm from Lego mean that an experienced younger builder will have no trouble putting any of the models together, and older builders will still find a great level of detail for such a reasonably priced set - including opening doors & a detachable roof.Perfect for a summer holiday .. come rain, or shine.

Another really cute set from Lego....This is their Surfer Van which comes compete with two people, a barbecue, surfboards, a parasol and beach chairs. There is even a teeny-weeny pair of binoculars. This kit can also be used to make a beach buggy and a lifeguard station - but to do this the Surfer Van has to be disassembled. The kit was pretty easy for Lego fans to put together and it is proving to be great fun in our household. My only criticism is that the van looks very American rather than one you would see on UK roads.Lego has an enduring appeal and this is a great addition to their products.

I always enjoy the Creator sets, and this is no exception. The moment I saw the main build, the camper van, I was inspired to create an entire scene with it as the centrepiece. Some day I might even build that scene!Creator sets are always great value for money, especially the 3-in-1 sets. With all that build/rebuild potential, how can they not be?This one is bright and cheerful in its presentation, and is packed with fun little features and interesting build techniques. Everything a budding Master Builder could ask for!

We got this for our son, as he was in one of his Lego-mad phases, but when it arrived, though he was quite keen on the camper van, it didn't have enough other aspects to catch his attention. We think this may on balance be of more interest to the average female Lego fan - though I hate to make gender assumptions - as our lad wants a bit more action and a bit less sunbathing. It's Lego so it has quality as a given, and I'm sure it would be a nice gift for someone of eight years and up.

We love Lego and the youngest likes the 3 in 1 sets in particular as it gives him a chance to build something, take apart and rebuild something completely different. This set has a great campervan as its main build. This was fairly challenging for a 9 year old and kept him busy for a few hours. The end result is great with lots of playability for boys and girls. I think the other two builds are less exciting: he hasn't wanted to take the campervan apart to make them!

A really excellent Lego kit, with lots of features to keep children entertained. My son loves all the details inside, from the tiny television to the storage area. It is really well designed, with a top section that detaches easily so that children can see inside and add figures. It takes anything between 30 minutes to an hour to assemble and the finished item makes a great toy. For a lower priced kit, this is great value for money.

My 10 year old son loves all things Lego. He built the camper van in the afternoon in one setting. He now plays with it and when not in use looks wonderful on his bookshelf. This 3 in 1 range means that you have instructions to build three different things using the same Lego. If you want to build another item from the set you need to dismantle your first set so you use the bricks to build the second set.

This is the first time we have come across a Lego Creator set. I believe the term comes from the possibility of creating different things with the same Lego pieces. In this case, you can build a camper van, a jeep and a coast guard station. My daughter has entertained herself with this set for ages now. The story line keep changing depending on which set she decides to build.

I like the 3-in-1 Lego creator sets they provide instructions for three interesting designs. Admittedly, the one on the box is substantially better than the others, but it feels like slightly better value for money. My 6yo son loved this building the surfer van and playing with it. Lego sets are always a bit pricey, but the bricks end up being reused in brand new creations.

My six year old adores VW caravans, so when we saw this we knew we had to get it for him.We have only built the caravan for him, although it comes with directions for two other building ideas- lifeguard beach stand and a car.He loves to take the seats, BBQ and topOff of the caravan to play out different scenarios.Great product!

This is an excellent Lego kit, a real summer holiday in a box. There is a camper van, serf boards, life guard towers . The camper van has a detailed interior and exterior. This is a great present for boys or girls. The pieces come packed in bags . There are easy to follow instructions. Lego just gets better as the years go on.
