With his ship sunk poor Jonah was adrift in his life-raft, clutching his GPS transmitter and beacon light for dear life! But it wasn't long before he heard the distant drone of a plane coming nearer... It was a twin prop sea plane and as it coasted to a standstill the back opened and the wonderful sight of a Coast Guard on a Jet-Ski came bouncing from the back. Finally he was was saved!! What? A review? Oh yeah, sorry... This is a great little set within the Coast Guard Theme, it comes with 141 pieces, in two bags, plus 1 manual and a sheet of stickers. There are 4 custom parts for the plane cockpit and the life-raft. It was a nice easy build with just a little bit of Technic style parts thrown in.

I bought this for my son as I was going away for the weekend. I ordered it by prime same day so I knew it would come on the night when I’d gone and I’d done it addressed to him so an exciting suprise.As ever it was packaged well. Amazon always package Lego well.I was really impressed with the amount of Lego for the price. My husband built it with him. I would say any child over 5 could build it. There are some nice little touches like the door that opens at the back and the cockpit screen you can take off and put the man in.The plane is surprisingly sturdy. Not often am I having to go over and fix think on it which is good.

This set is in a colourful box, dimensions 26 x 19 x 6. The pieces are enclosed in two clear plastic bags. An assortment of colours include black white grey blue red orange yellow and clear. Two Lego men are included and they need to be assembled. The step by step instructions are very clear and well illustrated. Page 66 itemises all the pieces that should be in the box. There are a lot of tiny pieces. If any of them are lost it can ruin the whole set. Personally I prefer the big boxes of assorted pieces, without instructions. Then a child just needs his or her imagination to build their own creations.

141 pieces & the usual high quality instructions all come together to make up this Coast Guard Sea Plane rescue set.A twin engine sea plane, Life Raft, Jet Ski & two relevant mini figures are all present when built in this great value set - currently priced at just under £12.50 - a real bargain. Note that neither the plane, Life raft or Jet Ski actually float but the Jet Ski will slide inside the back of the plane.Used on its own there is plenty of fun to be had, but played in conjunction with similar themed sets such as 60163, 60164, 6015 & 60166 will only increase the fun.Lego have really delivered .. yet again !

This is a bit more of what I would describe as Old-School Lego - there's a couple of bags of Lego in the box which can immediately be combined and then instructions about how to build the plane and jetski. It's quite easy to build (I would say 5-8 for age group really) and there's very few non-standard bits of Lego in there. In truth once it's been played with a few time it could be combined with other sets and let the imagination run wild.I think children who already like Lego will enjoy this as an addon.

Nice little set this. Makes a good gift for the Lego-obsessed child in your house (especially if they like taking it in the bath) or for one of the many birthday parties you'll be going to if parenthood is treating you in any way like it's treating me. Easy to assemble and so suitable for younger children. Box suggests 5-12, I think the lower end of that is right, the older might see this as a bit babyish.

There's nothing to criticise in this Lego set. It's a nicely designed sea plane that's fun to construct. Although the age range is 5 to 12, our 8 year old is not as interested in it as his 5 year old cousin, so I'd say it's for the slightly lower age bracket in reality. Our 8 year old made it fairly fast and enjoyed doing so - the instructions are clear. A good option for fans of Lego City.

This is a wonderful lego set that will make a great gift. I always thought that the planes look through best and require some skill in putting together. Here you get a nice propeller plane and two sea crafts. One word of advice, keep the manual so that you can remake the items once they get inevitably mixed up with other legislation pieces.

Great "Medium sized" set.My 11 year old Lego genius knocked it up in about an hour give or take - he said it was a pretty easy build but liked the size of the plane once constructed.Better than the small sets but less impressive than the bigger ones!There - my 11 year old's review for you - enjoy!

This is a great addition to my Lego collection. Building it provided loads of fun. As always with these Lego sets, the instructions were easy to follow and I found all the required pieces with no issues. It looks great next to my fire engine and other Lego vehicles!

This is a great set, as usual with Lego the instructions are spot on allowing you to create the model easily. My 8 year old made it by himself and I would say that this is a great gift for around this age.As usual with Lego the pieces go together well.

You just can't go wrong with Lego. My 6-year old loves building and playing with Lego and we get some quality time together building it.

I bought it as a kiddies birthday party gift. Its a great value for money. Lego never lets you down. I can only recommend it.
