[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son put this together right away when it came. He was so focused on getting all put together. There were some challenging parts for him — he is only 6 years old, but in general the pictures allowed him to easily put it together himself which he likes to do. He really does enjoy playing with it even after it is put together which is not always the case with other Legos he has put together. He likes how it can come apart into separate little underwater vehicles. He likes the colorful gems as well.

I actually had to take it away from my husband to keep him from building it without our kids. I loved watching build this together. Great family fun that lasted 3 days. My son kept wanting to take it apart and put it back together. I am definitely going to be buying.more sets for Christmas this year! Thanks Lego for a terrific product that brings my family together!

It was challenging, which we knew from the description on the box, but the instructions are crystal clear so we had zero worry. Loved that it had so many different projects within it, the submarine being our favorite. This made the finished product even more satisfying. My kids have spent many hours playing with this LEGO set and the creative possibilities are endless! Great investment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9 year old son had a great time building this set and has played with it a ton so far. He has added it into his Lego City sets and is excited to have an underwater themed set. The set was moderately difficult to build. It did take him awhile, but as usual Lego did a great job with their detailed instructions. The hammerhead shark and stingray were animals we didn't have yet and they are super cute! This is a great set for Lego lovers!

Overall the build was pretty straight forward, with a few repetitive elements as you have to build both sides which are similar. Overall took around 45 mins to buld with my 5 year old who loves lego.Set includes 5 minifigure and 2 animals (shark and Stingray)Instructions as allways are very clear as always from LegoSet comes apart from the main build to include a submarine and support capsules.My child loves playing with this set which works well with other water themed sets.

First off the packaging is minimal and each package is numbered helping you with the build! Great for doing it in sections without too much set out in front of you! The colours are bright and engaging! The instructions are easy to follow and the bricks are easy to stick together. The bricks stick well together meaning that they doing easily come apart mid build! Once built the set it’s highly engaging and has lots to do meaning that it keeps you entertained! Gets creativity flowing!

My Son loved the the ocean theme of this Lego set. The box contains the usual instruction booklet and numbered bags that come in Lego sets. I always know when I buy Lego I am getting a quality product and this set didn't fail.We had great fun building it together, His best part is the crane and the submarine and will spend much time putting items in and hooking it up. This is super for drawing out his imagination and the stories he comes away with. An amazing set, would recommend.

My 8 year old is a huge Lego fan and was more than happy to add this to his collection! He was excited when it arrived and couldn’t wait to get started. The great thing with Lego products is the fact the bricks are split into numbered bags which go in line with the clear and precise instructions that my son had no problem at all following. He had loads of fun building this and love the treasure for the bottom of the sea! It managed to keep his interest to the end!

My kids really enjoyed building and playing with this. They were impressed with the detail, one of the pods even has its own Lego fish tank inside! They also liked that the pods detach on ski's from the main structure and that one of the pods has its own propellers. Their only minor criticism is that in some places there are holes instead of windows and they were worried that in real life this could let water in. A really good buy and fun to play with.

Firstly the box pictures excited my daughter (12) and made her very keen to start playing. Being a Lego user she built the submarine with ease following the straightforward instructions! Unlike the other lego sets she has, this one has been left built for many days and has provided her with continued enjoyment.I would strongly recommend this Lego set as it won't disappoint.Very good toy for boys or girls!Another top quality Lego set

My son and I really enjoyed building this underwater lego set, the instructions are clear and straight forward, it probably took about 2-3 hours including playing as you go for us both to build! This set seems quite robust so you shouldn't find too many parts falling off as can happen sometimes. One of the best features are the detachable pods and mechanical arms for exploring separately, which he likes to play with, overerall a good set!

As always Lego doesn't disappoint. Yes it's on the pricey side but you get a quality item. My two daughters spent hours playing with this underwater base. They had fun building and then playing (so did I!). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. We loved the little extras like the opening mouth on the shark and the treasure in the chest, even a number plate (which went straight into the sharks mouth). Definitely worth your cash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lego Ocean Exploration base free for my review, My 10 year old built it and he loved it! It took him about 2 and half hours to build without any help. His favorite thing about it was the minifigs and all the little ocean critters. One thing he did not like was where the base connected in the middle kept breaking apart. Overall he really enjoys playing with it.

My 11 year old son was so excited since this is one of the lego sets he has been drooling over. We built it together. It was so fun and not super hard for him to build. I love the quality and detail lego puts into all of there sets. I highly recommend this fun lego set to all parents.

I like that the bags and instructions are divided up so we could have stopping points. It also helped to make the number of pieces less overwhelming. We really enjoyed creating this build together. We loved all of the little details that made it even more fun!
