This is a wonderfully equipped set that offers a great deal of entertainment for kids in both building and playing. Whether you're considering this as an addition to a larger LEGO City collection or a one-off, it'll surely be a popular purchase. As ever with LEGO the quality and attention to detail is second to none, and the visual instructions are easy for children to follow. It's a good sized box/kit, and is decent value for money.For all the ingenious complexity and effort that the designers have put into the main mobile 'command unit' lorry, I've found that the police motorbike and criminals quad bike encouraged the most enthusiastic play once it was all built.Nice bit of gender equality as well with both a male and female criminal,

This is the updated version of a similar set from about 5 years ago and has loads of fun features for imaginative play.It's basically a mobile police station that is transported by a lorry-style truck and incorporates a small jail and a storage/launcher for a police bike at the back. You get two police figures and two crooks; the crooks have a cute red quad bike as their get-away vehicle which is equipped with the means to yank open the lock on the jail door !!! Loads of fun details including handcuffs, a bag of loot, even a couple of traffic cones !!Easy to assemble with separate instruction books corresponding to the separate bags of Lego pieces in the box.

The packaging states this set is for ages 6 to 12. From my experience children aged under eight will probably need some support to play with this.It's a great set on it's own, even if you don't own any other Lego there's enough in here for lots of play scenarios. The vehicles are a treat for any child thrilled by big lorries and quad bikes, and the small touches - like the Lego money, traffic cones and dog - were a big hit with my niece and nephew who started making up new games with them.I think to get the best of this set you need a road playmat (just a cheapo market one) and a readiness to make lots of tyre screeching and siren howling sound effects.The set is 374 pieces and takes an afternoon to set up (it's this set-up that could need some adult assistance).

Brought for my grandson's 6th birthday. The two of us had an enjoyable time putting it together, he managed to do most of the assembly himself (with a fair bit of guidance).Took a while to get him to finish the build so I could go home because once the quad bike was built and the cell doors were on, all he wanted to do was hook up and pull the door off to let the baddy out!Has been assembled fully and played with for nearly two weeks now and he is still finding lots of fun with jailbreaking.

Bought for an 8 year old, who was super excited to get it. Big enough and with enough detail and moving parts to make it satisfyingly challenging for him to build. Ends up as a decent-sized model with various books, crannies, extra bits and bobs for lots of imaginative games and adventures, while still being robust enough to be wheeled around the living room floor for most of an afternoon.

Bought for my son's fifth birthday. This is a much longed for item. He loves how the door can be pulled off from the prison and how the sides lift up.He is very happy to play with it for hours. He needed help with the instructions to build it but that is all part of the fun.The Amazon price was lower than RRP, so all good. Recommend this toy if you have children into police lego.

My son got this for his 8th birthday as he has various other Lego City Police sets. He enjoyed building this set with a little guidance from me.He loved the prison section and also the police dog!Overall a good set - good build, nice features and seems good value for money for both the build enjoyment and the amount of play he has got out of it.

My grandson loved the Mobile Command Centre, he has really enjoyed building it and although he is just eight he does most of it on his own. It's brilliant he has been so absorbed in it which resulted in his family wondering where he was he was so quiet. Wonderful toy works just as well on adults.

As always it's a win from Lego. Girls and boys mini figures and a dog. Truck opens up to reveal secret police going ons.I bought this while on offer at 20.99. I wouldn't be happy paying 39.99 but then Lego is expensive and it's a fair kit. Took me about 2 hours to build approx.

My 11 year old boy loves it it is perfect to use on a rainy day inside it is very good sized (quite big) but would not Recommend taking it on holiday as it is big easy to assemble but also can cause a few mistakes that are easy to see great to play with once made great purchase

My daughter (8) and son (12) have loved playing with this set together. It is miles better than the sickeningly girly FRIENDS sets. The vehicles and figures in this kit have a lot to occupy young minds and stimulate their imaginations. I can recommend this to others.

got this for my 4 year old son i have 4 kids all together a 3 month old 1 year old a 3 year old and a 4 year old i was sure this kind of lego was to advance but my oldest loves it i really enjoy putting it together and having a big smile on my sons face when its done

A smaller set, there's still a good few hours of construction here. There's also been a bit more imagination put into this compared to the previous version; there's more characters and potential for more play once built.Compliments the police station perfectly,
