I must admit that I do myself quite love this and am tempted to play with it by myself when no one is around. It is relatively easy to put together and so your child will probably need no help. What I like are such things as the rotating and extending ladder, the hydrant, and the equipment, which you have clips for around the fire engine, as well as the opening side piece which has a little storage box.Of course you also get the fire-fighter figures here and thus this is an all inclusive set as such. With all this this makes for a good buy that your child will hopefully enjoy playing with for hours, especially if they have other Lego sets,

This is a very clever set - though a single item - it is quite complex with rotating, extending ladder and 2 firemen figures. It has a storage box for equipment and various attachment points for items on the side - as well as the all-important hoseI would have preferred a few more blue lights on top, so I have added another white bar + 2 blue lights on top towards the back, but it is not major. It would have been nice to have doors that can open for the cab (e.g. like other sets) - if you can source some red doors you can try to add them in.Talking about lights, you can also add some red ones next to the blue ones (i.e. blue outside, red in) which I think is more realistic ;)

Bought it for my 4 year old son. He's only just started playing with 'real' lego, so he's not really able to follow the instructions and build these models yet....Which of course is absolutely fine by me :D I build he, he plays with it, we both win. And being fire engine / fireman sam MAD, he absolutely loves this model. he's got getting on for 10 lego city models of various kinds now, but this has always been his favourite.Pricy, being lego, but difficult to fault otherwise. Maybe a little basic for the upper age ratings?

The 60002 Firetruck Building Set has many features that will lead to much learning about the work that firemen do. The toy is no doubt well thought out and designed. The detailed instructions provide useful guide to assembling the truck, for the child and parent to work on together. The assembled truck comes out quite sturdy and fully functional. Lego sets are made of high quality material. But the set has many very small components which a younger child is likely to lose easily. Overall it is a treat for a curious child.

I ordered this Lego fire engine from Amazon. I am very pleased with Amazon's speedy delivery it arrived well before the date Amazon gave to me. I have bought this as a christmas present for my five year grandson. I liked the way the fire engine is shown on amazon with ladder rising up. I have not opened it. Bought this for my 5 year old, we built it up together which we both enjoyed and then he spent hours playing with it and loved all the little bitty items such as the hose pipe and the storage pull out box! The only downside is getting the firemen in and out of the truck which is a military operation of undoing the whole thing but apart from that a great toy and the start of a collection!

My just turned 5 year old daughter loved it, she managed to build it in just under an hour and half. She is so proud of it that she gets it out to run round the floor most days! I think it's a good size model to start the passion of building. Very clear instructions as always and only a couple of bricks were too fiddly for little fingers.

This isn't what I expected. I was expecting a solid-build truck to use with lego characters, but this is more like a mini truck with mini lego characters. The truck has to be built and I would suggest it is probably best for 6yrs plus, however I enjoyed building it myself as there was no way my 3yr old would have managed.

Excellent fire engine, great quality and lots of equipment pieces included. My 3 year old son loves this fire engine and being able to change the parts around. I thought it may have been to grown up for him however he loves building things and this engine has provided hours of fun already. Great value.

Bought this for my eight year old son. I do super glue all his Lego and he use to get annoyed when it feel apart. It's a lovely little fire engine and my sn was happy to welcome it into his every growing collection

i bought this as a present for my sons friend and could not believe the value for money ! it came within 3 days on free express delivery so I was even more impressed and my sons friend absolutely loves it !

I have started collecting Lego sets for my 3 year old daughter. A fire engine is a must for any child's Lego collection and this one is quite large with lots of excellent features.

My grandson is just 5 but persevered and completed the fire engine which gave him pride in himself and taught him to problem solve. A great success.

This was bought for a friend's son who collects Lego and had a birthday. This was good value for money and I would recommend it to others.
