I don’t think Lego sets are always practical or good quality as some are quite flimsy after construction and fall apart easily – which defeats the purpose of them for me. However, this set is top class and after construction each piece has a good build quality and feels robust; my son absolutely loves it.Regardless, of finished quality, as usual he has loads of fun building it and then enjoys playing with it for hours on end.The instructions are simple and easy to follow for our 6 year old son. He did struggle to put together a couple of tiny parts namely the 614121 part where he asked for our assistance but otherwise he managed quite easily to put the rest together.This set is a must have for any Lego fan,

Having a Lego mad son, I handed the box over to him and immediately the contents were on the carpet and he was putting it together. As with all Lego sets, the instructions are brilliant, clear and easy to follow. All the right pieces were included and the cars quickly took shape.This is one of the new sets with the net launcher which actually works really well and no doubt compliments the rest of the range.Why 4 stars? I interviewed my son about it and he felt that he would expect the price to me more £19.99 for what the contents were (currently £24.99). He also found the net launcher could be improved by removing a couple of pieces. The instructions have it in a fixed position i.e. you can't move it,

Everyone loves lego and my son is no exception! it has changed a lot since I was a child and you just bought a huge tub of bricks and used your imagination to make things....now the next generation are themed everything from star wars to harry potter - you name it and there is probably a lego set for it!!This set is more of a construction set - it is easy to assemble and my 7 year old had lots of fun putting it together using the easy to follow instructions.Two vehicles are included a police jeep and a off-the-road car. The set is designed as a police car chasing the criminal ( I don't know if this is the best idea in these times with the crime rates /

The only problem I encountered was opening the box. The finger push tab is on the back, on the right near the bottom.It's Lego, you know the format. 4 sealed bags inside, numbered, with easy to follow instructions. So easy this 50 year old had it built in under 2 hours (on and off).I thought the net was going to be rubbish. How wrong was I. Firing off a table it allowed time for the net to open and almost catch the villain 3 times.Little extras that modern Lego has (I remember the 1970s set fondly. It's Lego - what's not to love?Lego are now compiling sets that have a story to them. This is pursuit of a criminal along mountain roads, with the hazard of rockfalls (brilliant innovation). Police chase in a 4x4 and on a motorbike. The 4x4 is fitted with a Net Shooter (my grandson has taken this vehicle off to his Lego Jurassic Park to capture Lego dinosaurs). It can stand alone for lots of fun but there is a series so a child with imagination can run a scenario from hold-up to chase to capture; I showed my youngster how to use his other law enforcement figures to make a roadblock and force the criminal on to the mountain roads for example.The great selling point of Lego is the build, rebuild,

Great toy for Lego fans or those who love a challenge. Ideally suited for kids over 7 years old, even though the recommended age is 5 and above. Younger kids will definitely need assistance. My eight year old managed to complete most the items on his own. Most of the items were quite straightforward to build, but the police car was quite tricky. My son attempted it but in the end had to dismantle and start again from scratch. In general, the illustration guides were easy to follow and once build, the items were sturdy and functional. All the parts were present and even has some spare parts. My son had fun building and playing with it. Would highly recommend but for the older child.

My son (5) loves Lego. He was so excited when he received this set a year ago. While many sets have since been broken and made into something else, he still treasures these cars. Another reason why it's still in one piece is because it's a really sturdy build, and can come with some rough playing!If the child is just getting into Lego, I think the Lego City Police sets are a great way to get into it. If you also show the police chase videos on the You Tube Lego Channel, the child will immediately know how to play with them, and will start to make their own story.

Well here is what is in the box...3 minifigures: 2 police officers and a crookA police 4x4 ,Minifigure cab and net shooter.Police motocross bike with kickstandThe crook's 4x4 with minifigure cabin and space in the back for lootAlso includes a rockslide element with boulder release functionAll good stuff and it took my Great Nieces a full afternoon to put together and have a play with it once it was set up.This is a fun set with plenty of pieces at a really reasonable price...As we all know that Lego is certainly not cheap.

I quite enjoy the various Police sets out there, particularly the Mountain Police sub-theme as these vehicles and buildings can give you a lot of variety when integrated into your regular Lego City world. This set features 3 minifigures, 2 cops (one on a bike, one in a truck) and a crook (with a whopping $200 in his loot sack) making a getaway in a buggy. A rolling boulder trap is also included. The truck feels like a slight redesign of the truck in the

I've hardly seen this since the kids whisked it off to assemble the models from it, although they did show me a their creations later, and they seemed to be solid enough. You can argue that Lego was more about imagination and creativity and that these sets with a number of very designed pieces that are mainly for a single model kind of run against that, but if kids enjoy putting things together and they look good afterwards then it's still good.

My sin bought this with his Christmas money & it is a good set. the net shooter is a nice addition to the police jeep. it took us about 1hr 15mins to build all in & seems quite sturdy although my kids favourite part is taking bits off & making his own creations ?. the boulder is good & easy to build/load. the bike & red car are fairly straight forward- we did get lost a bit in the police jeep but it was easily fixed.

Bought this as a gift. This toy is suitable for 5 year olds, but when it comes to building it, they will need help from an adult or an older child to show them where the parts need to go. Once assembled, this toy should be a firm favourite, especially the police car which has a cool net shooter. It's a good set that teaches children on role play. The item arrived in good time and was well-packed.

I cannot give a proper account of this purchase as it was bought as present, yet to be given. It arrived on time no damage to box. All my grandchildren ask for lego they get so much enjoyment out of building different buildings, cats, etc. This looks a good adventure build.

This is a fairly easy to build and good fun lego set. You end up with three vehicles which allows for good play value out of the completed set. The vehicles are quite well designed and hold together well. An ideal lego set for any child that enjoys playing with cars.

This was a birthday present for my 6-year-old. We had to build it as soon as he opened it. I was a bit hesitant about the net actually firing but it works brilliantly and has since been used to catch many many "baddies". I particularly love the rock catapult.
