...complete with 3 mini-figures, a cute little husky dog & a rather mean looking polar bear that stands to attention when required, although he can look less menacing, too (1st images below refer)!Following the 2 x detailed instruction booklets to the letter, this set took a little under an hour to complete with just a few fiddly bits & pieces at the end such as placing the various accessories in the mini-figure ‘hands’ & attaching the tracks to the scout truck & ice scooter. A bit more patience is required lining up the stickers before rushing to explore the functionality of the set and swap things around. Hindered by the tracks, the truck works reasonably well across lino or thin carpet tiles,in my experience, and the roof is removable (very handy to have a convertible in the Arctic)! As is usually the case, there is a handful of spare little pieces at the end.✤ LEGO® CITY✤ 60194✤ ARCTIC EXPEDITION SET✤ RECORDED NUMBER OF PIECES : 322From the new ARCTIC range; AGE GUIDE on the box: '7-12'? As a small boy my parents bought me so much Lego, it is frightening to think how much they spent. The bricks and shapes I could create kept me fascinated for hours. I remember my finest "creation" was built from a box of "Technical" lego and it was a motorised crane. I still have it all in a great big Lego floor bag. Sadly the instructions to build the crane has gone, but it does not stop the next generations from using their imaginations and creativity to build things from the innocent looking bricks. When Vine offers Lego sets I, of course, grab them, but nowadays, I ensure they are not mixed up with the general bag and the boxes and instructions are kept. This set is part of a set that focuses on Arctic exploration. It contains three mini-figures, 2 drivers and a biologist, a polar bear, a husky dog, an arctic truck with all-terrain wheels, an ice wall/arch and an ice cave with translucent blocks and room for the polar bear figure. Once built, Lego is about imagination and this set will fire up the young imagination. It is easy to build and contains enough pieces to play at Arctic patrol. It is one part of a large set of different Arctic playsets, so be prepared to buy more. It's a nice set and I am happy to Recommend it.

My 5 y.o. sold had this given as a present from his grandparents. I suspect they paid close to £40 for it which is definitely over-priced considering the elements and number of pieces. I managed to get one for £22 for my niece, so it does vary in price a fair bit. However, even at £40 it's value is significantly enhanced by the fact that this set can be combined with the Lego Boost robotic set to allow a different programmable model to be made. This adds a lot to both this set and Boost IMO.I do think the Arctic theme is an interesting concept for Lego to have exploited. The set itself includes a nice little detail in the arctic core of a frozen insect.Given the relevance of arctic cores to our understanding of historic climactic conditions and increasing concern about climate change the set can help children understand the basis of the science or at least that there are good reasons for people to be doing science in the arctic.

LEGO knock it out of the park yet again with a diorama set you can use to either recreate the plight of the endangered polar bear, or John Carpenter's "The Thing".The instructions are clear and there's nothing particularly tricky even for small kids with a smidgen of adult supervision. The two extra bits of scenery to build do feel a little tacked on and the scout might have benefited from being part of a more substantial set, but it's already a pretty pricey kit as it is.

Superb. I built this with my 7year old daugher (when I say "with" she watched ha ha ha). The kits is awesome, and as usual with Lego comes with very clear instructions. You still need to hunt around the bits to find the small pieces, but thats half the fun. The machine itself is awesome as it's a vehicle that the kids have never seen before, so it led to all sorts of youtube learning about the arctic and exploring. great.

A great adventure concept, that can get young minds thinking of other things rather than what they can do on their tablets. It has figure s and a very handsome polar bear. It of course being Lego comes with all the instructions to make the vehicles. I am amazed at how expensive Lego is and I wonder how many children are into Arctic exploration to justify the price tag.

I bought this for my nephew's 7th birthday and he absolutely loves it.The set was easy enough for him go build alone but a suitable challenge in that it kept him nicely occupied for a couple of hours. He is really enjoying the polar bear and the set has great longevity of play value as there are so many make believe games you can play with it.

One of my boys loves his Lego, and this item was no different. Lego is always good quality with simple instructions this set is no different. Was out of stock when originally ordered (it was more than £10 cheaper through amazon too) but amazon didn’t disappoint and was back in stock and delivered in time for “Santa”.

I would have loved to have these sets when I was young. The level of detail is fantastic with the little figures and their tools. It's not too difficult for young ones to assemble and having a polar bear as well is a really nice touch. Tempted to buy other sets in this range now!

An absolutely brilliant kit from Lego. If you ever had any other kits from Arctic series - go for it and your kid will be absolutely happy! It looks nice and the size of the kit is above average!

My 35year old Son still loves Lego, so this was bought for him, I think he enjoyed the build and is encouraging his 2 year old to enjoy it too. ( large pieces of course)

Just what we were after, quick delivery, many hours of fun to be had.As with all Lego, it's not cheap, but the quality is great and kids love it.
