Created on Lego Cuusoo, a website where users can upload, share and potentially pitch their ideas to fans to have them made, with enough interest (10,000 supporters required) the set / idea gets reviewed by Lego. The Back To The Future DeLorean is the 4th Set to be approved and after a VERY long wait, we finally physically have it!Straight off the bat it's a stunning piece of work from Lego,It features easy transformation; simply change out some of the parts to create the DeLorean from BTTF parts 1,2 and 3Has opening doors, fold up wheels, printed pieces (no stickers hear which gets a BIG thumbs up from me!), some transparent pieces which act as a display stand when the DeLorians in it's 'flight mode'and also comes with two Mini-Figures;Marty McFly (which comes with his skateboard) and Doc Brown, both being based on their appearances from Back To The Future part 1!The instruction booklet is easy to follow and has some info on the creators and film / DeLorean itself! Some minor nit picks are the mini figures don't sit well together in the car and also one of the printed pieces has some miss spelling though they may have corrected this after the first run.I also feel perhaps some small accessories could have been included I.E a Film camera and Hover Board? but thats just a personal preference and i'm sure it wouldn't be hard to create these using lego...I do however think that they should have included the long arial / pole that they attached onto the DeLorian in BTTF 1... But again, not too hard to mod up using other lego parts if you so wish...Over all i'm really impressed with this, certainly one for BTTF fans / collectors!Get it while it's hot folks!

As a fan of Lego since a young age, I bought countless Lego sets over the years. In recent years however I stopped buying the sets but decided to pick this one up as I am a huge fan of the Back to the Future trilogy. I was slightly apprehensive at first since the set is a product from the Lego CUUSOO (now titled Lego Ideas) range. I was worried that due the set being designed by a fan rather than originating from within Lego themselves, the overall build quality and design would be lacking, but I couldn't be more wrong. The build itself was very satisfying with a mixture of simple and more complex elements. The way in which the different features like the gullwing doors and the 'flight mode'wheels are implemented is fantastic, and very satisfying to see functioning in the finished result. It looks incredibly accurate both in scale and detail; there is printing on interior elements like the flux capacitor which adds a certain level of depth and authenticity to the set, and the minifigures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown are brilliantly accurate and detailed with front and back printing.Price wise, I would have expected a slightly larger build, but since it is designed to be accurate in scale for a minifigure, it's hard to complain, not to mention the fact that this set really is an item for fans and collectors, and looks great as a stationary model.Overall, this set was a great purchase, and it succeeded in kickstarting my love for building Lego sets again, can't recommend it enough.

I am a Lego collector and love models like this. The idea of recreating move favorites like this appeals to fans like me. Having missed an opportunity to buy this when it was originally released was inspired by the launch of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 car. After building the Ghostbusters car, the natural thing to do was get the Delorean car which was an absolute joy to build and the mini figures are fantastic too.I love the quality of the design and the clever use of bricks to build this car. This stands proudly alongside my Ghostbusters car now!Looking forward to more movie designs from Lego Cuusoo. The only small gripe I have is that I did not realise when I ordered this car,it was coming from the USA and it took a month to come. On the positive side, it was the cheapest available at the time so it turned out a winner for me.

If you are a huge fan of the BTTF films, or even if you're not, its a fantastic lego set. Really detailed, and well built, don't need to worry about it falling apart as you handle it.As a few people have said the mini figures dont easily fit inside together, but I feel this is the only issue, and if like me its more of a special show piece then a real toy its not really an issue at all.Not only is this a fantastic lego set but it also comes with a small book with facts about the films and a little on the Michael J Fox Fondation, which I felt made this just that little be more special. On a side note some of you may have noticed i have given this 5stars for edutation, this is true because ALL children should watch these films :D

Visually, this Lego set is a cross between a Lego City and a Lego Creator set. It does a great job of emulating the look of the time-travelling DeLorean, even without windows, but it is a VERY flimsy set and will snap and fall apart if you play with it. I can't imagine this set being a bit hit with kids though. It comes with a minifigure versions of Doc and Marty, and they can fit in with your City. However the DeLorean is too large to fit into any other Lego environment and can only really exist on its own. Cuusoo have plans for further BTTF sets, most of which CAN be integrated into a City environment. I look forward to these, but be prepared to pay top dollar.

I love back to the future and I love Lego, you know what I also love. This Set.Its great If your a back to the future fan and its a great way to get your kids into the film aswell. Being able to make all three cars(though not all at once)is also the great you know what wasn't great...the price. The set is great, the price is stupid,I mean the set itself is £40 for a car with bits to add to it? And the only reason some one would buy it is if they were a fan.But come on! 40 quid! But in any case I would love to see a line of back to the future toys. But Lego you really need to tone down the price.Just a bit

Wow, I have never seen a LEGO set with so many pages in the instruction booklet. I bought this to make an advent calendar, separating the pieces into 25 piles with accompanying instructions. As such, I had to copy and print over 60! pages, and cut them out. Mind you, the booklet is amazing! Apart from giving building instructions, it tells you a lot about the films, and gives you snippets throughout, which I had to cover up with some basic photoshopping. (Can't have him guess what it is halfway through.) Bought this as a gift for my husband, as he loves the movies, so he will LOVE IT! (Or else...)

It's obviously a cool little bit of lego - and most importantly the proceeds go to a good cause (the MJ Fox Parkinsons foundation... i think). It also has a really nice booklet with some interesting facts about the film and the man who came up with the idea for the lego car...well worth keeping - and some nice little toucjes like 2 x numberplates one for the present time and one for the future (with a barcode).I guess my only critisism would be it's a little small and obviously you're limited to building other things with the pieces, would still def buy though.

Should have bought this years ago, when it first came out - my purchase was £175, so be wary if you're looking at more than that.Excellent addition to my Lego Ideas collection, though it's quite clear it comes as the start of Lego Ideas as it isn't quite as sturdy as, say, Ecto 1 or Wall-E. Bits do fall off it, if you're not careful. Also be aware that neither the Marty/Doc Brown figures actually fit in the Delorean - they're just too tall. Rather disappointed with that, but, it's a great display piece all the same.

I bought this for my partner's 30th birthday. Back to the Future is his absolute favourite trilogy and he's been eyeing this set for ever. This is the perfect gift for a lockdown! No pieces missing at all, box in mint condition, very fast delivery, absolutely fantastic purchase. Price is quite a hike for this size of Lego set but considering it is not being made anymore I was more than understanding of the price, and happy to pay for it, his joy when opening the present was worth every penny!

As an avid back to the future fan and overall lego geek this was a no brainer purchase for me. The actual car is fantastic! You might not realise but you can add different elements to make it the car fro. Each of the films and it's all included in this set! The mini figures are a last too! Even comes with Marty's skateboard! If you're someone who likes to put your mini figures in your cars then don't hold your breath as that is all this set won't do. Overall a pretty heavy product.

A fantastic piece of Lego, worth the money and it looks fantastic! The fact you can build the different DeLoreans is also a nice little touch by the designers which just makes it more fun to make! In edition you get a little fan service with the instruction booklet! If you're into Lego AND you just so happen to love the Back To The Future trilogy, why are you still reading and why haven't you clicked add to cart yet??

I would have given this 5*, but seeing as you only get a skateboard and not a hover board as well, it's lost a star. You get extra pieces to turn the Delorian into the car from BttF 1, 2 & 3, so I don't think the Hoverboard would have been too much to ask for. An Einstein would have been a nice touch too, he was there after all!

You can basically build any of the three cars that were in the three films, but obviously not at the same time. I did not realise there were more than one car in the three films, but really it is only aesthetics that change. The box was tiny, about a third of the size of a shoebox!Another great product from the LEGO team.

I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend who is a big back to the futur fan and he was VERY happy! On the contrary of what other people might have say, it is very easy to build! it didn't even took him an hour! So I believe it's a big expensive for the time it takes, otherwise, really, it looks great and i got it very fast!
