I spent HOURS trying to find a miniature "gender-neutral" tea set and this was perfect - exactly what I was looking for.It seems quite a few people don't quite realise how small this set is and it's been given negative reviews as a result, so hopefully my review will be of some use and remedy just how cute this is!First of all, this miniature tea set is more of a mini miniature tea set!The teapot (without the lid) is only 5cm tall and about 3.5cm in diameter. The milk jug is about 3.5cm tall and 3cm in diameter. The saucers are 4.5cm in diameter and the cups are 2cm tall and around 3.5cm in diameter. The sugar bowl (without the lid) is 2.5cm and 3cm in diameter. The teaspoons are 8cm long. The teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl could hold liquids/sugar if you wanted them to though the head of the teaspoon will only fit half way into the sugar pot, but hey, sugar's bad for you anyway ;) Either way, this set IS functional!Would I recommend this for kids? Yes - but only once they're beyond the age of sticking things in their mouths given how small it is and can actually take care of their possessions because it is all made of ceramic. It's more suited to a doll or teddy bear tea party than a a childs but as I said, the teapot is functional so there's no reason why your child can't join in with their toys :)From the photos of the product I couldn't see a sugar bowl (I thought it was a cup) and there wasn't any information as to what you got exactly so I thought I was only getting 2x cups and 2x saucers but it does include 4x cups, 4x saucers, 4x teaspoons, 1x tea pot, 1x milk jug and 1x sugar bowl plus the adorable wicker basket it comes in.When it arrived the set was packed in that standard shaped plastic packaging and I will have to say sadly the little green teacup was chipped but only slightly! (plus the post man did pretty much just hurl the box into our front porch)It also smelled a bit odd, but a quick (and careful) wash in some soapy water has remedied that.I'm going to replace the plastic packaging with tissue paper but I bought this for the intention of props for photo shoots and as a collectable. All in all, this is a very cute tea set, perfect for what I was looking for and worth the cheap price.I've included some photos for size comparison of a standard kids tea set so you can see how small it is and what you get.I hope anyone considering buying this set finds this review useful and enjoys the set as much as I do.

This tiny little picnic set has given my grandson such a lot of fun, the pieces are very small but that doesn't seem to matter to him.

I am going to use this to encourage counting activities and fine motor development in nursery. The children will love it.
