I have previously owned the Lenser P7 and loved the torch, sadly due to the nature of my work it has become damaged. I then did the typical thing and bought other not branded cheaper torches, hoping they would be close to or as good as the Lenser ultimately you get what you pay for! some cheap torches may be nearly as bright but the battery life is not in the same league and the ones with better battery life don't offer the level of light the Lenser provides.I have used the Lenser in a host of situations such as searches around urban areas with dull lighting casting lots of shadows, the focus on the torch is brilliant in these torches allowing good adjustment to eliminate them and practically illuminate a whole area.

I love this torch - so much so this is the third time I've bought it (lost the other two!!!!)It's solid, well made, ridiculously bright and the adjustable feature gives you a really direct targeted beam or can light up a large area with a spread out beam. As a surveyor I find myself in weird and wonderful places and often in tight spaces with no natural light..one of my favourite features of this torch (and the reason I keep buying it to replace lost ones) is the hexagon bracket on the handle...this little bracket stops the torch from rolling, so when you put it down in a confined space or in a tight area to light a spot that you need both hands to work in there is no chance that it can roll away!

We live in the countryside and so work torches hard in the paddock and outbuildings. In this environment the torch has been excellent. It is a lovely piece of real engineering and the focus system is effective and easy to use. I can check on our small flock of sheep at 100 yards plus or use a wide spread in the loose boxes.The torch is small enough to be palm held and has a nice wrist strap which is useful if you are working in the dark and need both hands free. The five flats stop the torch from rolling off surfaces: very clever.One word of warning, don't look directly at the beam - it's painfully bright!I got my torch with a Maplin voucher but even if I had paid the full price I would be pleased.From now on,

Bought for work (mechanical engineer at a power station), needed something pocket sized but super-bright and with a focused beam. This works fantastically well, whether flood lighting a room or illuminating distant areas on site. Never a fan of having 'strobe' function and the high beam and low beam on this are brilliant and easy to click through. Large soft button easily pressed when wearing gloves. The anti-roll collar was a genius addition but snagged on my overalls pocket edges. Has survived several impacts and drops, high heat (70deg air) environments with dust/ash and hasn't skipped a beat.I refuse to use any other torch brand for work and home now.

Purchased this to replace my old 5.11 SAR A2 torch and I have to say that this LED Lenser is vastly superior. The light is impressively bright as you would expect but more impressive still is the battery life. I’ve been using this for night shifts at work for a couple of months now and I’m still on the first set of batteries with very little drop in performance. Doesn’t seem to get hot like other torches I’ve used. The torch is compact enough that it can be worn on my belt utilising a klick-fast dock so it’s always quickly accessible at night. Great little torch!

The torch is surprisingly small for its light output. Similar cree torches are £15 with less light and a lot more bulk... compared to my previous torch in the picture (available all over amazon and ebay) its 100% better.2 points have to mention....firstly it seems to shine brighter outside than indoors in a dark room for some strange reason, very odd I know. Sencondly, the claim it shines 200m is questionable.... work carpark is about 60m and the trees on the other side are barely illuminated during zoom function. Maybe it's better without lampost light..

I work as a paramedic & wanted something high quality, & built to last, but also something compact & easy to handle & stow. This torch ticks all the boxes. Gives off a terrific shaft of light, ideal for both long & short range use. I could be looking for a door number on an estate one minute & shining it onto someones head the next, looking for a laceration. So for me it's ideal. The cheap ones you can buy in petrol stations usually start to give trouble before the batteries are even finished....I've a feeling I'll have this one for a good long time.

This is the best torch of it's size that I have ever used. It doesn't look like it can be very bright and is about the same size as my old Maglite - fits easily into a jacket pocket. That's where the similarities end. I bought this as a Christmas present from my mum so had a go on the night of the 25th. It's great for walking in darker areas and lights up the street to give you confidence. The torch lights up my back garden completely. It even lit up the top of the clock tower on the local church. This is well worth the price tag.

Fantastic torch! Stunningly bright beam for its size and it's actually good to have the lower power option for close up use. Perfect size and weight for general use and feels like a quality made item. I haven't used it for any length of time so can't comment on battery life but aaa batteries are cheap enough to keep a few lying about in case it runs out.I'm really happy with it and glad I spent a few extra pounds rather than get a cheaper one.

I already own other LED Lenser torches and am very happy with them. Whilst kitting out a new house for an elderly relative, I wanted a small, not too heavy, reliable torch that would not roll away if left flat on a surface. This LED Lenswer TT Police Tac-Torch is ideal for that purpose. I've used it many times whilst working on the house, and I'm sure my relative will find it useful too.Highly recommended.

Love this. Very glad I brought it. Robust material and not exactly heavy but bright as anything you can need. Even in daylight inside buildings you can still see the beam. The adjustable beam (second click on the tail cap) is great for looking for things in the dark or low light without burning your eyes out!If you want a top end torch go for this one, its well worth the investment.

Use it for getting round the house and gardens in wintertime, this torch whilst very small and portable has more power and brightness than the 3 cell maglites i used to lug round in the police force about 30 yrs ago, at less than a quarter of the size and weight. Find the wrist strap very useful also the anti roll attachment. Get one, the initial cost is high but you wont regret it.

Replaced my other LED torch which died when the batteries leaked (cheap batteries) and damaged the whole unit which was disappointing. This one seems to be a good build quality and very bright, same functions and operation using the button on the base, I hope to not have the same issue with batteries, I will be using Duracell and not cheap Maplin’s own make!

Well built, sturdy. Really clear bright white, adjustable beam of light from the torch. Batteries lasting well, two and a half months so far. The torch is supplied complete with batteries, and in a nice box.So impressed with the torch, I bought two more as christmas gifts for family members who are avid dog walkers.

Very good torch as mentioned elsewhere. Very bright considering its only running on 3 X AAA (maybe keep a spare set close by).Got to knock off a star though as the "mode select" is a bit of a joke. It simply turns on in a bright/dim/bright/dim order instead of actually selecting a mode and the torch stays there.
