I already own a Lenser P7 which throws out 200 lumens and was attracted by this one offering 400 lumens. Both are excellent torches but have different uses and this has augmented the P7 for winter dog walks, not because it is brighter (not sure it is, certainly not twice as bright) but because it is lighter. While the P7 is a pocket monster, this is even smaller and sits nicely in the hand, ready for instant use. You forget it is there as it is so tiny. It does not have the throw of the P7, which is great for spotlighting foxes at a distance, but is perfect for illuminating things nearby with a wider spread of light. One disadvantage is that it uses the uncommon CR123A battery, while the P7 uses AAA.Lenser also recommend you do not use rechargeables, as it reduces the life of the bulb by causing over-heating. If you need a torch you might use somewhere you can't charge batteries, this is a consideration. I am very happy to have both as each fills its own niche incredibly well, but the F1 is the one I'd pick if I'm only carrying one.

This is a great EDC light for what it's designed for. This is an EDC light that is IPX8 waterproof. 2 meters submersible. It comes with interchangeable heads and the more tactical head can be used to break glass in an emergency. The top brightness setting 400 lumens is extremely bright, but it will step down to the low setting after a few minutes to prevent overheating. The low setting, 60 lumens is still very bright, and frankly suitable for most things you'd want it for. Walking a dog. camping. The third strobe setting, could be useful to alert people in an emergency situation at night. The torch can also tail stand to use as a candle. The light takes a single CR123 battery, these are lithium battery's that wont leak and will still work at sub zero temperatures. This is a small compact light you can leave in a car glove compartment during cold winter months and still rely on. It you just want a basic torch, this is not the light for you. If you want a torch that does what I describe above I recommend it.

Most of the LED Lenser torches have the ability to focus the beam, making it more controllable. This torch is very bright, but doesn't have a focussing front end, unlike most of their models. This makes it a little less useful for more intricate jobs where you need very directional light. It also uses CR123A batteries which are readily available and used in some cameras and home alarms systems, but which you probably won't keep spares of at home.It has a slightly odd choice of two from sections, a chromed one which is smoother and the black metal one, shown on the Amazon site, which is quite shape and would be rather painful if you accidentally jabbed yourself (or someone else) in the face with it.Probably one of the brightest and lightest torches you could pop in your pocket or car just in case you needed one.

Incredible, for how small it is (more than it seems in the photos) it gives a light beast. I have a frontal petlz myo 280lumenes and it is far surpasses it. Say that it gives 400 lumens in maximum mode, No boss, as in many fronts that sell you many lumens, but then they are 10s in boss mode, has another intermediate mode (around 80lights, for battery saving and a third mode for Ultra flicker for emergency signage). Also that it is submersible up to 2.5m. That if it is heated in little, logical thing for its power-size. Ideal.to take it in the backpack in day trips, for some unforeseen. A great purchase without a doubt.

I already own several LED Lenser lights and have been amazed at the power of these things. This little torch goes everywhere with me and as an emergency services worker it is very very handy. The beam ONLY goes for about 100metres but it's very bright for confined spaces. The torch is tiny about the size of a finger and simple press end on/off. The clip attaches to pockets belts etc and holds it securely. A nice addition to my collection and this is carried as a backup torch should my batteries die on the bigger torches. A very capable well built product. Battery life is very good for such a small powerful torch.

Received this torch in it's little box.Very easy to use and wow it gives out a strong white flooded beam of light. For such a tiny torch it's power is impressive, brighter than all my various Mags etc. Will have to wait and see what the battery drain is like, but so far it's apurchase that I'm very happy with.Would make a great gift for someone as the presentation of the torch in it's box is a very nice touch.well done Lenser!

This is the smallest, brightest torch I have ever seen. It is so small and relatively light you can take it anywhere, great handbag size and would even make a good protection device as it really is blinding even with closed eyelids!! Comes with a peice of cord so you can pop it around your wrist for safekeeping. You can even have a rave with the flash setting! Good product LED Lanser :-)

Was prepared to make a comment but am not prepared to be told how and how many words you want.So bye, bye - and don't ring back. But to answer the enquiry, I already have one already and needed another for a different purpose. The product arrived early and was securely packaged. What else do you need to know? Not enough words apparently so forget it in future.

I have a few LED Lenser torches, but this one is simply amazing, the beam is so bright, the range incredible, the size so compact, it is without doubt the perfect pocket torch!! I have the following in my collection, P3, P4, P5, P7.2 & P14, but if I know I'm going out in the dark, I will always have the F1 in my pocket! Enough said......

The F1 LED Flashlight is compact and powerful. It is a top quality built light. It takes the long lasting standby 123 battery. It will fit almost everywhere from a shirt pocket to the car. Great light to take to the movies or anywhere you need a handy light. I wish they had these in the 50’s and 60’s when I grew up. Thank-you Lenser!AFA

I highly recommend this and think it's the best torch (flashlight) I ever had. Expensive but the beam is bright and wide. I loved mine so much that I splurged and bought one for hubby. Only challenge is how to change the strong beam to low and strobe which is a little tricky but I'm sure practice will help.

I have 4 LED Lenser torches & they never disappoint. This is in a different league. It's a tiny torch that gives off almost unbelievable amounts of light. Beautifully made & like my other Lenser's will last a lifetime.

Not as good as the Led Lensor M1 - It's a little over rated but does produce astonishing amount of light for its' size, The lack of beam focus is not great. The M1 is cheaper and better equipped.

I love this torch; the beam is amazing, it fits in my pocket, is light and I also take it with me when I travel. It is so nice I even look for occasions to use it!
