This programme was purchased for our grandson, who is four and a half. He found this easy to load and use himself, with very little adult prompting or explanation. The American voices and pronunciation were slightly difficult for him to understand at first, though. The writing/copying aspect is slightly frustrating for him - a typical boy, he wants to get to the end of the task as quickly as possible. A fun way to practice phonics and letter writing skills for Reception level children.

All the basics of the ABC's are taught, phonics, letter's names and using the stylus to write the letters. So nothing is left out really, writing the letters will take time to learn my 3 year old does get a little frustrated with that part of the game. But writing isn't easy is it!?! so to be expected, gradually though they will learn to write some of the letters and that combined with learning the letters sounds whilst not even knowing they're learning is ace!

Bought this for my 4 year old son, who will be starting school in september and it's really good, as when learning to write the letters,he needs to write it the way it's shown, therefore learning to write the right way. He also enjoys collecting his letters and stars, which he can change into tokens and upgrade the bits in the game. Also very suitable for his age, not too difficult and not too easy. Good value for money + I got it on offer for £ 13.39. :)

My daughter is 3 years and 8 months. She got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it! What amazes me is how quickly she has learned all of the phonetic sounds of the letters of the alphabet. She recognises all of her letters, sounds them all out, and writes them on the tablet. But it's all so much fun. It's a game with so much going for it. She received 4 cartridges in all for Christmas and this one is by far her favourite.

I bought this for my just turned 4 year old boy to teach him about letters and he loves it as there are so many different games to choice from and keep him interested. He’s never been interested in learning letters until now and he has learnt so such already over the little time he has had it. If your looking for a learning game for your leapfrog tablet then this is the game to choose, I can’t recommend it enough.

I am very happy receiving Leappad game within the estimated time. I bought the game for my 4 year old time who knows her alphabet but doesn't remember the phonic sounds when using other alphabetical items. Within 1 day of playing the game she is walking around the house saying the phonic sounds of the letter. The game also teaches children how to read the letters too.

Bought this for my daughters 3rd birthday and it's great. She love to play the game and I know she's learning at the same time as playing (especially when we play together), meaning we are both happy! My older daughter (aged 5yrs) also enjoys the game too, though it's a little easy for her.

This is a fantastic game my son loved it definately would recommend, had to help him to begin with but once he got the hang of playing it helps with letters and reconizes, this will give him a head start for school which he starts in September

A nice game, my daughter enjoys it but it's not one of the ones she spends a lot of time on, it looks a little less polished than some of the others but I like it because it's teaching her about the letters.

This was bought as a birthday present for my five year old grandson, he loves it, he can really interact with it and helps with learning letters and writing.

Arrived very quickly. My 5 year old daughter likes it. We were told about this game by a friend and I have to say thought it was a good price.

Excellent game for pre-schoolers. They can have fun but learn at the same time. My son found it easy to navigate straight away which is great.

My son adores these games, which are just right for his age (he is 4) and they are very educational. This one was especially fun and varied.

Daughter loved this so definately recommend. One thing though may be that you wont get the song punctuation out of your head for days ;0)
