One or two of the people who have commented on this item are either simply mistaken or are reviewing a different product.For a start, it simply isn't difficult to clean after use. let it soak for a bit and use warm soapy water and the stuff comes off easily.People who say their kitchen is too small for it are - well - I'm mystified ... it's no bigger than any other frying pan: it's heavier, yes, but why anyone couldn't find a place for it beats me. It's a frying pan for goodness sake!People who say it's heavy are right. But they would have known that before they bought it ... so why did they buy it if they didn't want a heavy frying pan?I will agree with those who say the handle gets hot - it does.

Fantastic for grilling / frying all kinds of dishes especially if you don’t clean it too much.I’ve done chicken breasts with minimal seasoning and it’s come off with a crisp smoky skin yet tender moist interior.Steaks take on a flavour I’ve never experienced and even bacon done on this griddle tastes like I’ve never had before.Key is to get it really really hot before you cook with it - just watch the handle gets very hot if you are using it for a while plus it takes a long time to cool.The only downside is the amount of smoke which can be generated - sets my fire alarm off every time.Otherwise - it’s classic Le Creuset - heavy, sturdy, not cheap but fantastic build and should last years.

I've wanted one of these for ages so when I got some vouchers for my birthday I took the plunge. It's an extremely heavy, solid piece of kit but it's absolutely brilliant. Great for steaks and once it's up to temperature, your steak doesn't stick to the ridges and you get those wonderful professional looking caramelised lines across your meat. It's also great for grilling vegetables such as asparagus.Cheaper models are available but Le Creuset really are the market leaders in cast iron cookware and this is a seriously good quality piece of kit. If you can afford it, buy the best, you won't regret it.

It's a big heavy cast iron grill. It feels like it'll last longer than me and like all Le Creuset there is a feeling of quality. The Marseilles blue is a beautiful bright colour.For some people it'll definitely require two hands to manoeuvre around and because its all iron, you'll have to use oven mitts or one of the Le Cresuet handle holders (which I got as part of a deal on the two)It heats consistently, and works on my induction cooktop. It is excellent for grilling all manner of meat.It has held up well to use, and shows no blemishes or issues to the paintwork or grill pan.

What can you say about LeCruset. This is a nice sturdy pan without being overly heavy for a cast iron enamaled pan. I replaced and older version of this and have been more than happy with this version. The non-stick surface is much easier to clean. It gets hot and leaves lovely grill marks while draining off the unwanted grease from cooking meats etc.. I love the bright orange colour and i would recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality but reasonable price grill pan. It's not the cheapest, but i believe you get what you pay for.

the tool you use makes a huge difference in the food preparation, the grill pan is easy to clean and gives a nice char lines with juices flowing out in the grooves. It gets very hot and stays hot because of the material. Caution - the whole pan, including handles get hot and its really heavy so be careful when lifting it. Overall, the food is so different when cooked in this, i wonder why i waited so long to buy it !! absolute value for money and worth the price.

Been promising myself one of these for years. Cast iron so weighs a ton but doesn't need holding to stop it skittering on the hob so you have 2 hands.It will work on the Aga as well when I turn that on in November.I've griddled chicken, salmon, steak, rissoles, courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes... all delicious and makes a change from cooking them in other ways.It will last a lifetime. I only wish I'd bought it earlier in my life to make the most of it.

The problem with non stick pans is that most manufacturers recommend against high heat, which of course is not a lot of good when you want to cook meats where you need to sear, like steaks. Hence this purchase, you don't need a high heat, just moderate but leave it to get to the right temperature and the cast iron will avoid the temperature dipping when the steaks are loaded. Note that it is quite heavy so if you have weak wrists this may not be for you.

If you want to make great steaks you need a solid pan. Otherwise, you will just cook them in their own juice. This pan does exactly what it's made for. It's also very durable and has a lifetime warranty (30 years in some jurisdictions). As such, it will also be cheaper in the long run compared to all the coated pans that never last long, no matter how well you treat them.

Having bought other Le Creuset items in the past I know this pan will last for years. It is very heavy but the handle at the other side is a great help when moving the pan. I also bought the glove to go over the handle which is very useful as it does get hot. All in all a very good buy

Very heavy pan as other reviewers have stated but from my, albeit brief usage so far I think this is a fantastic product. It seems to get upto heat very quickly, spread the heat evenly across the entire surface and maintain that heat long after the hob is off.

Very high quality and sturdy griddle - as you would expect from this brand. High price but this will last a lifetime. Can be transferred easily from hob to oven with the dual handle set up. Has dramatically improved my steak game.

Very well made grill pan. It is Le Creuset, so heavy, but does the job exactly as expected. I baulked at the price, but saw it on a daily deal at about 30% off, so got one and am very happy that I did.

Simply excellent. You get what you pay for in life and although Le Creuset stuff isn’t cheap, it’s fantastic. Very heavy solid pan, easy to clean after some heavy duty grilling to!

This pan does my steaks to PERFECTION. Amazon price the best on line for Le Creuset items why pay more, when you don't have to? Image as shown on web site. Fast delivery too.
