My students are German adults who are learning English in group courses. They like the game but find it a bit difficult (still, in a B2-level 90-minute course, we played two complete games). They have always liked Taboo, but I wanted to give them an alternative game. I recommend it, even though I find the quality to be rather cheesy: The game cards are exceedingly thin and thus are very vulnerable to bent corners. The buzzer is a disaster. You actually have to remove its battery-compartment cover with a tiny philips-head screwdriver--a really stupid design--and you need the buzzer because it is a random time-lapse one. The game box itself is badly designed,so that the box lid is hard to remove (do NOT put the box bottom into the lid or you will spend 15 minutes or more trying to get it out again), and the cardboard cutout in the middle which is supposed to hold all the game pieces doesn't fit, so everything slides around all over the place. Save yourself a headache and buy plenty of rubber bands for the big stacks of cards--or you'll be sorting for hours.

Our Christmas games have ranged from the mindlessly excellent (Pass the Bomb) to the dreadful (Trivial Pursuit - Millennium edition), and this unquestionably fits in the former category. As a post-dinner cause of argument, shouting, cheating and invention of words (animal beginning with N - 'Nelephant') it is challenged only by classic games like cheat. My own tactic of thinking of a few words, saying nothing and hanging on until I thought we were within a reasonable time of the buzzer going off was correctly denounced as excessively competitive and close to cheating. A mixture of cabernet sauvignon and low tactical cunning was sufficient to win!On recommendation for the makers, everyone in my family now calls this 'The Shouting Game' which seems a much better and more accurate assessment of how it is played.Recommended!

How anyone can rate this game as 1 star I have no idea! My sister bought this for our family to play on Christmas Day this year and it suited us right down to the ground. It's incredibly simple, it can be as losely based on 'rules' and reason as you like, (hence the don't take it too seriously bit) and we played for hours. The pressure of a randomised timer button that you press to start shouting out your words is brilliant. My head would immediately empty of all words on any category ever. We came up with such drivel and then at times absolute brilliance. The categories are really well varied. It doesn't have a complicated set up so it's in and out of the box in seconds and any age of player can enjoy it.Really, really good game if your friends/family don't take stuff too seriously.

We really enjoy playing this game, it is suitable for all ages. A quick thinking game to have a laugh about! The object of the game is to get to the end of a small board by a coloured counter, all are delt a subject card and then a letter card is turned over. You have to think of a word begining with the letter, put you card down and press the timer, which has a varied buzz time, the rest have to then think of a word using the subject card of the first person to put their card down. The person to say the LAST WORD before the buzzer goes off moves forward! Simples! Can be played in teams or individually. When you have played it, you will see how easy it is to play!

My husband and I played this game with friends over Christmas and knew we had to have it. So I got on Amazon and ordered it. It came promptly and didn't disappoint. Already we've played with a couple of groups of friends and now they're going on Amazon to find it. If you're looking for a serious strategy game, look elsewhere. But, if you're looking for a great way to laugh with friends and get to know them better, this is an awesome after-dinner game. I highly recommend it.

Got this game For New Year's Eve and it was such good fun! The youngest player was 11 and everyone did so well. The family has not had such a good laugh in a long time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is in need for a fun game and does not want to opt for the usuals. It can be challenging even for adults but also the kids can be very successful in it. It gets better and better the longer you play, especially when someone shouts out random, made up words!

My family, being somewhat competitive, can struggle to find board games that we all like and enjoy. This one worked well. It can be played in teams or individually, and is silly enough to be fun without bringing out too much competition and annoyance. We had a lot of fun playing this, with lots of shouting (in a good way). It worked well for all ages - from our 10 year old, via teenagers right up to those in their 70s.

Really easy to pick up the rules and then surprisingly hard to think of connecting words. Lots of laughter generated and the race against the timer made it really good fun for 10 yr old and 12 yr old. There. Did seem to be missing pieces ie the the counters but was easy to substitute with things of own. However bit odd that bits missing or if they weren't we couldn't work out where or what they were.

Really nice fast paced game that everyone can join in. Timer can buzz really fast... or late in the round. It's fun to play, but sometimes I found the time too short to even think of one answer as categories can be pretty tricky. Also it was a bit difficult sometimes to decide who did said the Last Word... If there are very dedicated players it may turn in quite a fight :) Overall very fun to play.

My 11 year old son asked for this game for Christmas having seen it in a shop. We played with it lots over the holidays with people from age 6 - 86! It was a hit as it is easy to set up, easy to understand but can be a challenge to play. The game is well thought-out, sturdily designed and in a compact box. Highly recommended!

We bought this as a family game for Christmas and managed to play it once. Since then my daughter has borrowed it and we haven't got it back yet! I'm assuming this is because it's a great game. On the basis we have played this only once I have given it 4 stars.

What a fun game to play with the family. Also nice that my boyfriend and I were able to play this ourselves and still have just as much fun trying to beat each other! I haven't come across many games that are just as fun with 2 players.

Had a lot of fun with this one with family at Christmas. Not a game for people that are sticklers for absolute correctness as you could be all day looking things up on internet! Excellent value for money and lots of laughs! Recommended.

Bought this for family after playing it with friends. I like that because there is a random timer in the game, no one has a particular advantage, so you can't play too tactically, which is a great equaliser in groups of different ages.

i bought this game for a gift as we have one. we play this game as a family with mum and dad in all eight and we have so much fun and laugh a lot as we end up saying a lot of non-sense in order to win. i highly recommend it
