I was initially put off by the colour and price, but having owned one for the last few weeks i can honestly say it is a great piece of kit.It supports thunderbolt as well as USB 3.0, and the thunderbolt cable is hidden nicely around the edges of the device and the connector pops out of one end, so you never actually detach it from the device, making it difficult to lose.The setup routine is very helpful and even suggests formatting a small portion of the available space in a format that is accessible to windows and Mac. This is very useful if you use both windows and apple hardware.The thunderbolt connection is very very fast. I needed to copy 30GB of data,

Nice drive which is amazingly fast - I do a lot of video editing and when plugged in via thunderbolt it really delivers. I personally had a minor issue with drive corruption which resulted in my having to reformat, and to my slight annoyance there doesnt seem to be any way for me to dowload and restore the original lacie software. However I'm not convinced the problem was the fault of the drive, as I was using it formated as HFS+ with both mac and windows using a third party windows filesystem driver... so the corruption may possibly been caused by a bug in that or failure to eject the disk properly...All in all I'd say its a good product lacking just one thing - I want to be able to daisy

If you are looking for a reliable external hard-drive, this is it. I've used many different makes of drive and most fail in time. As a travelling photographer, reliability is crucial for me. I have 3 of these now and would never buy anything else; a bit bigger than many but absolutely trustworthy . I like the built-in cable they've introduced to the model - no more searching around for that lost lead!

Many negative reviews for this. But so far mine has worked well. Every make of storage I've ever used has given up at some point so I personally like to have 2 backups. I know it gets annoying making backups of backups but only way to truly be safe.As I said though, so far, no problems. Seems like a really quality build.

It's a great product at a great price.I love the fact that the lightning cable is now 'built-in' to the drive, so you can't forget it, and the drive itself remains one of the best out there for using in the real world. It's invaluable if you're shooting on location and need to ingest media.

Amazing. The built in cable is such a good idea - means you never have to fumble about looking for it in your bag, never have to work about it fraying or deteriorating. Price is a little steep, but to say the cable is normally £25 from Apple anyway, it sort of evens out.

Super fast delivery. Lacie are probably the best HD's for Macs, I've been buying them for over 15 years. The thunderbolt connection is excellent and extremely fast. Excellent design and build. Funky orange colour.

Very good external, is neat and compact and has the cable built in. I own a few different Lacie Drives decided to go for the thunderbolt drive this time because of the speed increase over usb

Recommended by a friend. I have had rugged drives in the past, but this surpasses all of those. Great product, I will be buying more.

Super amazing. Don't bother with other brands of drives, these are great quality and super fast on thunderbolt.
