When I first saw the image of this buster cube I thought it looked like an improvement. They have added little flanges to the core to make it easier to remove the core for cleaning...at least that's what I assumed they are for. I've used these cubes for my dogs for years and the previous version didn't have these. They were almost impossible to get the cores out for cleaning so basically, I didn't bother. The new cube with it's flanges is no better although you do now at least have little markers on it to show you how far and in which direction to turn it but getting it to the point at which it clicks into the open position is beyond me. worse, the flanges go all the way to the bottom of the core creating an obstruction which makes it twice as hard to fill as the kibble gets stuck. I still have an old buster cube which I much prefer but as I have two dogs I need both.Apart from my gripes, they are still a brilliant way to feed your pets.

It is a great feeding toy and was especially awesome for making our 12 year old boy use his brain quite a bit before he figured it out. Unfortunately only one our dogs is able to use it inside. She kicks it like crazy, makes it fly through the whole room and gets some pieces of kibble out like that. For the less overexcited dogs that try it with system and mainly using their nose, it is too slippery on every indoor floor (even on the carpet). They just push it through the room but it won't roll over so no treats come out ever. That was very frustrating for the dogs. We now use it in the garden only and it is awesome there. Great outdoor toy but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a garden. There are much better indoor food toys.

Bought for a large male labrador and it is absolutely brilliant!! He plays with it every time I fill it up- never seems to get board and cannot cheat to get the treats out!! Previous ones that twisted open were a waste of money as he figured that out in minutes and just poured them out. This one must be rolled around, it is great exercise and stimulation for him. It is indestructible and worth the money!! Fill the chamber up for less enthusiastic dogs to allow lots of treats to fall out for first use and they will love it from then on!! Great product, only wish was that faster delivery was available, would highly recommend!!

My dog loves this product! It keeps him amused while we do other things round the house- he is only 8 months and still likes to play a lot. He gets half his meal in it (dry food)and the rest in his bowl. I would suggest if using the cube in this way you take out the centre to make filling easier.( The instructions say you only do this for cleaning.) You then need to shake the food around to stop it all coming out in a lump immeadiately but other than that it seems to work really well. Occasionally it gets stuck under bits of furniture and we have to rescue it-your dog will let you know if there is a problem.

I think this is a great enrichment tool for dogs. It offers a challenge over and above other enrichment toys such as feeder balls or other similar wobbling type treat dispensers.ProsHigh quantity of kibble - can feed mealsRobust and well madeChallenging and engaging toy for active/intelligent dogsConsNoisySometimes tricky to open (but no impossible - there is a knack to it)More difficult to clean that some other enrichment toysOverall a great enrichment tool that I use with my dogs often.

Great as a slow feeder, it takes our cocker spaniel puppy about 10 minutes of batting and rolling this around the lounge to release 55gms of kibble, so it slows her eating and keeps her entertained in equal measure. We'd rather let this lose in the kitchen but our floor is ceramic tiled, as the cube is hard plastic it would make an absolute racket, and probably break on short order. Would be 5 stars if it had a rubberised finish, even of we had to pay a bit more

We purchased this item to feed our french bulldog puppy as he was eating his food to fast and taking in to much air (what goes in must come out if you know what i mean). this worked very well to slow his eating down and of course it was fun for him to.....just be warned it can be a little loud with the sound of food rattling around lol but from my point of view it was a very good investment and its well built

My puppy loved this, she's a strong breed and could chew through everything, it took her a while to learn how to use it. Which served its purpose because we wanted to mentally exercise her, and lasted a few months. Only reason why we stopped it was because the middle piece went too loose and would no longer hold the food in.

My dog loves this. Easier for her to control than a treat ball. It took some work and a pair of pliers to open the cube up the first time, but able to do it easily with my thumb since. Definitely noisy if it gets on to the hard floor, but that doesn't bother us. A favourite in our house for weeks now

This is my second Buster cube. The first one fell apart after 25 years (and 3 dogs) use. Tilly absolutely loves it and we have to spell out the word C-U-B-E before filling it, otherwise we have a dog flying around the house like Tigger.Amazing quality toy. Lasted longer than any other dog toy.

Bought this for my labrador for Christmas, she loves it and it keeps her entertained (with tail wagging!) for ages. Have only given it 4 stars though because it's incredibly noisy and could probably damage walls/furniture. Probably more of a toy to give when you are out of the house!

Arrived very quickly and well packed. Used one of these years ago for a puppy when left, so was surprised they were still available. My adult rescue dog finds it amusing for a while, but the food runs out and he's always hungry!!

Certainly robust enough for big dogs so no complaint about the quality but my dogs don't play with it as often as I hoped they might. Treats need to be quite small so maybe not worth the effort for big dogs.

This is the third cube I have had because eventually they get so well used they fall apart and the centre piece won't stay in. My dogs love this toy, just a shame they're not made so they don't fall apart.

Bought as a replacement for one I purchased 7yrs ago (old one still works but looking tatty) my dog really loves these. Fantastic for keeping him from eating too quickly & keeps him entertained.
