As a device it serves a purpose which is to let you watch older VHS-C recorded cassettes in a normal VHS video player, and if you already have a DVD recorder or suitable computer video capture equipment, you now have the potential to save you're family home movies to your computer on to a DVD.My device came well packed, with instructions on the base of the packaging, and as such takes a 1.5v AA battery in the side which serves power to a motor so as to allow you to load the VHS-C cassette correctly.I did find that one JMB branded VHS player would not accept this device, but I've yet to discover why as the same JMB player accepted a normal cassette afterwards,

I had about 20 ancient dumpy VHS tapes from a 25 year old camcorder which I finally got around to sorting out. I put in a high mA battery in and away to go without any hitches. All footage now directly and safely transferred from my VHS recorder & captured directly onto my HD/DVD machine and gradually onto my iMAC for incorporation into my iMovies.It was well worth the cost of the adaptor to recover precious family events even though I've had two further generations of camcorders since the early analogue one. I can confidently recommend this device. The only thing to watch is not to force the tape casette into the adaptor but to locate the flanges and grooves at the sides of the adaptor then

This does exactly what it says on the tin. Put the VHS-C tape in the tape bay, close the lid, listen to it make groaning noises as it moves the tape around, and play it in any standard VHS player. It takes 1 AA battery, and is made of metal, surprisingly. To those who struggle to remove it, please use the two holes at the back of the adapter kindly provided by the manufacturer so you can remove it. No extreme force is necessary.

Well made, good price and fast delivery. very easy to use and a variety of tapes played and all ejected from adaptor with ease. With load/unload door open just push cassette gently with finger using hole provided in bottom face of adaptor. Reports of leverage and heavy force required to remove I can only assume are people not using the provided ejection hole and are trying to extract cassette from the top face.

I lent out my original vhs-c video cassette adaptor and never got it back. Now cant remember who I lent it to. I brought this product as I still have camcorder tapes to put onto dvd. The delivery was very quick. People say tapes are a tight fit. That is a good thing and they are easy to push back out with the wholes at the back. Simple to use and does the job. I would recommend it to anyone needing an adaptor.

I had been looking everywhere for this product and I am delighted with it.I read the reviews and some said the tape is hard to get out ,it is a bit tricky nothing to bad.I have to say the delivery was excellent it came earlier than the said.It was well wrapped and it is a credit to the company.Great work and will look at buying from you again. One very satisfied customer.

My old 'Hama' adapter jammed then fell to bits when I opened it up to extract the tape. Search on Amazon found this similar item. Delivered quickly, well packed. Seems identical to the old, works as it should. You need this to play vhsC tapes in a vcr.For info, if you have 8mm tapes the only way of viewing them is by playback with a/v cables from an 8mm camera.

I bought this 9 years ago, used it for a couple of years then put it in the attic along with the vhs-c's, brought it out last month, cleaned it up and it's still working perfectly - with the same original battery! Excellent, well made and it should last for years. It worked well in the VHS machine, ff and rwd etc.

I have for many years had a collection of Camcorder tapes that I have been unable to play and have not seen one of these adapters anywhere. The Adapter works well but some of the tapes have deteriorated. Now to put them onto disc. Once again you have been able to supply an item which I had given up on!

As soon as the product arrived, I was transferring some old VHSC tapes! Such a simple product to use and really does what it says on the tin.There was no problem at all getting the VHSC tapes out of the adapter - even with the JVC tapes described below.I would highly recommend this product.

Bought this for my farther in-law, he had so many tapes for yesteryear that he couldn’t watch any more due to not having the camera to watch it back on. This it’s the tapes perfectly and now can transfer the videos to DVD or computer. Cheeper to do it your self than taking to a shop.

This works well and does what it says it will.Quality on the whole is good although the battery cover is a bit flimsy (don't be put off by my view, just be aware).I would buy this again although I think all of these units are overpriced.

I will give this 4 stars for quality.I would have given it 5 stars but my taps would not fit.After i read on another site that you cannot get a adapter for the type of tape my panasonic vidio recorder takes. Disapointing i have sent it back.

Would have said I love it but thought it would be a bit sad to say you love a piece of plastic- found a box of old VHS-C tapes of the family and decided they had sufficient embarrassment value to watch again- does the job nice and simply
