My lurcher is a strong chewer, he gets through toys like I get through hot dinners.I was in two minds about buying this based on some of the negative reviews, but I gambled and am glad I did.My lurcher loves it and races up and down the garden playing fetch games and just amusing himself with its squeak. So far so good, he hasn't shown any interest in chewing it to death yet.I think the shape and the size is just right for my size of dog (medium to large), that love fetch games and running about holding it in their mouth. It may be too big for a small dog to hold, so they might have more of a tendency to chew it perhaps. The key for our boisterous 1 year old teenager is to rotate his numerous toys so he doesn't get bored. And first sign of chewing them,we remove them now because that is usually a sign he's bored of playing, and just wants a good old chew. (that's what his nylabones are for!)It is very disappointing when toys last 2 minutes I know. But I like this toy because it hasn't got 'ears' or dangly bits, which my dog seems to identify as weak spots to chew on.It is similar material to a tennis ball, but stronger and more robust than a tennis ball. The shape allows good grip for a medium - large sized dog. It also bounces on the ground in an unpredictable manner which adds excitement when chasing it.It is now quite dirty, but I didn't expect it to stay green very long! As a result of this purchase, I have ordered two similar Kong toys, so just hoping they will be as good.

The Airkong Squeaker Football is a great toy for dogs with a lot of energy. Due to it's "American Football" shape, it tends to bounce in sporadic directions giving even the most rambunctious puppies a run for their money. The Airkong Squeaker is not a plushy toy and has some weight with it, so taking it to a local park and throwing it (with your good arm!) can get some nice distance. Just be wary if its been raining, due to the outer felt coat - it might end up a little muddy and dirty. Nothing a trip to the washing machine and an hour or two next to a radiator can't fix.Unlike a lot of other 'squeaker' toys, the noise that comes from the Airkong Football isn't going to make you want to plug your ears or stab the ball in an uncontrollable fit of rage at 3AM one restless night. It's quite a nice 'squeak'.Beware with young puppies that are still exploring though, they may find great pleasure in meticulously ripping the felt coating off the ball. While this can ruin the toy; it also presents as a great opportunity to train your new puppy out of this type of behaviour.Overall, great toy.

This is the best ball ever! My springer who usually wrecks the kong tennis ball in minutes loves this, when our other springer chewed one end it lost its squeak but it hasn't been chewed any more and it is his favourite toy. With a bad habit of stealing all the tennis balls and having 3 balls at once in his mouth and struggling to breathe this has been the answer as he cannot fit anything else in his mouth but can still breathe! Also it means we can play ball for longer as he cannot steal the other dogs ball, result! I have even ordered 2 more of these to have in stock!

we bought this to amuse our 14week old labrador puppy as she loves her kong squeaker tennis balls and her flotation kong!we bought the largest size since she is going to be a big dog. Yes, she did "pluck" the yellow fluff on the ball to help her carry and toss it up in the air herself! but she did that with her tennis ball!the squeak is very loud and i actually think my husband gets more pleasure out of annoying me by repeatedly squeaking it to play with the dog!i would recommend it as you cant usually go wrong with kong products!

Ok in life, there is always the occasional defect in the things we produce. The first AirKong Squeaker Football Tennis Ball arrived and the squeaker gave up within 15 minutes.Returned the product (No hassle at all), replacement arrived a few days later. How a company/seller responds when there is an issue is the true test and this company/seller was great. The ball has been going strong ever since (Now over a month of daily play). Our dog has managed to destroy the occasional Kong toy, but this one has stood the test of time.

My husky loves these balls, they last a good little while before she manages to get the yellow stuff off and then destroys the ball. I've bought a few over the years and they have always had a loud obnoxious squeak to them, but this one sounds like the squeaker crawled in there to die every time my dog plays with it. I now have to only let her play with it in small doses to save myself the headache. Still a great ball and will purchase again when she finally destroys it or I give up with the squeaker.

I got this on sale ;My dog (Boarder Collie) is highly energetic and intelligent because of this regular balls are often too easy for him due to the fact they don’t bounce in random directions , this fixed that problem we had and he enjoys it a lot, durability wise it’s lasted longer than any of his other toys by far ( and he is a destroyer of toys perhaps not Labrador level but definitely enough to the point we have to be careful as he'll eat the broken parts!)

My dog has had this for a few months now and it is still intact. It is quite firm, does have a squeaker in it but i think it might be the shape of it because my dog cannot really bite down on the squeaker and cannot chew it. She is almost 5 now and her destructive behaviour has disappeared, but if you have a destructive dog then i am not sure how long this will last for you.I grabbed this for under 4 quid and would buy it again.

Needed to find a strong durable toy for my german shepherd who is a destroyer of toys. Even had to resort to mass ordering of tennis balls on ebay.Found this on amazon. Very good quality and fast efficient service as well.Being rugby ball shaped its very easy to throw and quite large so easy to remove from the dog and just right so he has no choice but to drop it,Overall very happy. Saved me a small fortune in tennis balls.

Bought this for a malamute with a high 'kill it!' record. Kong seems to be the only make to last any length of time. He's had this a week now and it still squeaks and is intact, altho he has stripped all the tennis ball like outer off it, he seems to be a fan of 'skinning' his toys, actually, should I be a bit worried by that......All in all a good hardy toy for any other dog than by bundle of destruction ;-)

Got this as a present for our dog to have when our new puppy arrives. He hasn't got it yet but it is a lot bigger than expected and I know that he'll love it. Being a large dog its difficult to find toys which last him more than a day or two.. and the tennis balls from this brand last him for months. Would recommend to people who have a big dog.. hours of fun and a good toy to play with him in the garden with.

Fab toy my old English loves this toy she has great fun trying to get it when you throw it as is goes off in all directions , she is so funny running after it , she can get it easily in her mouth being a rugby ball shape , it is certainly hard wearing and the squeak isn't to annoying either , great buy . Fairly quick delivery , reasonable price compared with our local pet shop to . Fab would recommend highly

My puppy destroys every toy in about 60 seconds flat. This one has lasted three months and she's only just managed to break the squeaker and the toy is still very much in tact. My only wish is that Kong would bring out a version not covered in the green fluff because if not supervised, my puppy will try to pull it off and eat it. Hands down one of her favourite toys and would not hesitate to buy another.

My rottweilers love this toys got different ones their had them for years but worse for wearing no felt on them holes in the some wear completely distroyed but they tend not to reck them to much as love them the one dog with destoy plastic toys in minutes they like ropes to play tug of war they get shredded but what do people expect dogs have powerfull jaws especially serten breeds stop moaning

I've settled on using the SqueekAir tennis balls for my ball crazy dog who decimates lesser balls. The american football/rugby shape adds a bit of a "twist" to the bounce, but it is not as erratic as a real rugby ball. Does not work with any of the ball throwers that I have found so far, but it goes a reasonable distance without. They are also lasting OK, like the regular SqueeAir balls.
