I am using 24awg with a very thin PTFE cover. The PTFE tends to be very elastic and difficult to separate in one clean cut. I have tried wire stripper pliers, which work to a degree, I think a good quality pair would be reasonable but I need to be precise on the stripped length. I tried various automatic strippers but they tend to leave a ragged finish and damage the PTFE cover with the holding clamp. I have been impressed with this Knipex because it does not clamp the wire but simply cuts and separates both ways at the same time. Care is needed in placing the wire squarely but the overall result can be consistent clean stripped ends.
