My Spec (before upgrading ram):Dell Inspiron 580, Intel i5, OS Win7 Pro SP1 64bit, Intel i5, OCZ 64gb SSD, exHDD 2tbAspiration:As a 2nd year Media Tech student I wanted to upgrade the ram to a higher level for desktop use to complete tasks such as Adobe Master Suite CS5 working with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.Of course, with my previous spec these ran fine while they were open at the same time etc, HOWEVER I am greedy and hungry for power!!Research:So i googled how far I could go and found out with a win7 64bit pc I could take it to 16gb! I wanted to upgrade from my 'petty' 6gb but the Corsairs were a little over budget despite their reputation and how epic they look.Bearing in mind that unless you overclock your system (don't worry if you don't)you're really unlikely to use all of that memory anyway. After reading the maintenance manual online for my desktop (recommend you to check that out before purchasing) I found that my motherboard could only handle no more than 1333MHz, so Yay that ruled out again to not buy the more expensive corsairs.Evaluation:Expensive/Fantastic Performance Option 8gb (2 x 4gb) -http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9-1600MHz-Vengeance-Memory/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1358860567&sr=1-2Why I didn't choose the above Corsair(s) - For one of those 4gb sticks it costs £22, this 4gb Kingston card costs £16, that means £6 saving and 2 meals while you enjoy a faster PC.Cheaper/Reputable Brand 4gb (current Kingston product)http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-1333MHz-DDR3-Non-ECC-Memory/dp/B002K23V1Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1358862277&sr=1-1Why I chose this particular one - I thought upgrading from 6gb to 10gb is still great, sure, it wouldn't have taken me up to 14gb or eventually 16gb like the contrasting product however the Money Saving is great and if i really wanted to I could get 4 of this product and technically save £64 (when comparing with the Corsair). Also, my motherboard is restricted to 1333MHz, MAKE SURE that you read all your PC's spec before upgrading, you want to use every penny of power, not more (1600MHz) when you are restricted to a lower rate.Package, Product, Manual Install. The product was packaged in a DVD size cardboard parcel, easy to open. The memory card was inside a 2 piece plastic casing, reasonably sealed.I was expecting the height of the product, meaning the shortest side of the card when looking down on, was half of that expected than before?!I got worried I received the wrong product but it looked like it'd fit.Eventually I managed to fit it in, recommend caution when installing, if it doesn't go in properly don't force it, it takes a bit of gentle fiddling.Performance:As usual, switched the computer on, noticed that it took less time to boot, went to system properties, the computer recognises the memory card, Horrah!Works fantastically, I love it, Kingston can be trusted now of course, but one day i'll get my hands on the Corsairs and their stupid looking spine backs... But for now, Get this product it works fine and speeds up the computer, nice profile as well, fits in the 'low profile' category for narrower/smaller pcs.Note:To further speed the rest of your computer up get a Solid State Drive and install your Operating System and Programs ONLY on to it. I would recommend Samsung or Sandisk, I bought the less distinct OCZ cause I'm a student and can't afford but if you are rich you know what to do!http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-64GB-SATA-6GBPS-Basic/dp/B007BBQPBO/ref=sr_1_11?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1358862803&sr=1-11(highest read/write speed)http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-64GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B007ZWLRSU/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1358862837&sr=1-4(good price for still better than HDD read/write speed)Then, obviously keep your media/document files on either an external or an extra harddrive. Enjoy you computer fanatics, I'll see you in silicon town...Any Questions, email [email protected],Keith

I Must admit I bought this based on price, which has sharply increased since, however even at £199.99 it still offers excellent value for money.I bought this to experiment with hyper-v, 'settled' for this over other more expensive 'faster' ram.basically I didn't realise until a week later I didn't change the bios settings on my computer and had been running this at 1600 with timings 9,9,9,24,run a few tests and it seems stable, I'm also running this at 1.4v opposed to the stock 1.5 without error (got an obsession with under-volting!), stress tested for 9 hours with no problems. Not sure if there is any advantage to running them at this speed but they seem stable. If I ever get a problem I'll post an update here, but for me this is just excellent value!running in conjunction with a Xeon 1230v2 at stock speed @ 0.85v.This review here helped be decide to buy these, can't say its a very in-depth but they confirmed that you can run it faster also [...]Finally, if anyone is thinking of buying this for a ramdrive, I've found StarWind have a free ramdrive that allows you to create ramdisks bigger than 4g. Its not as nice as the Dataram product but it does the job and for free its very good!

I've used quite a few ram makers over the years. I used to use Crucial for all my builds, but unfortunately had problems with failures after a few years (more than a few as well and some of their ballistix range too) Sadly Crucial support isn't that good and I had quite a delay on a few returns. One set of Ballistix memory that failed, got replaced with bog standard ram (again not acceptable in my view)Looking for a new maker about 2 years ago I decided to use Kingston memory for all my builds. The value ram is for most people, you can hunt around for the faster memory if you wish (though the premium ram in my view isn't a big jump in performance, and for most not really a sensible purchase bar heavy overclockers)To date I have had no problems at all with these modules, I have 4 fitted to my own pc, have built around 8-9 pc's with this memory. All worked just great out of the box, perfect. As with any respected maker you get a lifetime warranty. Some come as low profile DIMM's, some the normal sizes ones. Either way this is good solid memory that so far has exceeded my expectations and with 0 problems that's exactly what I'm looking for...highly recommended

As with another member 'Dazza' I too am using these memory modules in a HP microserver (well, i ordered 4, to put 8GB in 2 HP MicroServers) and they work flawlessly. They are smaller in height than most memory modules, which makes them even more perfect for the microserver, since it is already limited in the space it has. Both servers have been running now for a good few months and there have been no issues.1 server runs Windows 2008 HyperV and the other ESXi 5 (free edition). I do home study and these little machines are perfect for it, the ram just makes them superb for my needs. At just over £10 each these are a steal, although it would be nice if the seller would combine shipping rates - and send them together if multiples are ordered,i ended up with 2 seperate deliveries for some reason.I have recommended these to friends in work and i am sure they will have similar things to say.If you are looking for additional memory, especially for the HP Microservers, these are perfect.

I have this potato PC which has pentium dual core from 2012 and 2gigs of RAM. It usually crashes when two chrome tabs open and opening ms word simultaneously. So I decided to buy a new RAM and finally got this one for a fairly high price of 2188INR. I was skeptical about my buy at first then i installed it in PC. As my OS was 32bit it didn't support more than 4gb RAM so i had to reinstall to make it 64bit(fortunately my processor supports 64bit.). BOOM!!! the PC got 6gigs of ram and started to work like neverbefore. It's now smoother than ever and i can open 15 chrome tabs and do my presentation in PPT simultaneously. I mean, that's huge step up, right? Thanks Kingston for producing ddr3 accessories and makes our potatoes alive as young. <3 Satisfied

Put in to first computer to increase RAM to 12GB, simply because it was a backup computer which I am going to turn into a NAS.Took the RAM out to put into second computer, which is my main, also worked first time. Then I reconfigure my computers such that the 2nd computer has this RAM plus existing, total 16GB. All good, worked first time on BIOS on both PCs, and OS (Windows) recognised it without a hitch or problem.A small concern is the packaging could be better. Also I took the RAM out by carefully sliding it out of the case, without removing the sticky tape. But there is no problem with the packaging as it arrived, and the RAM was well positioned in the case.I think a bit better packing might be better.

I tried to upgrade my HTPC to Win7, but my motherboard wouldn't support it. That meant upgrading the motherboard, CPU, RAM, blah blah blah. I wasn't looking forward to rebuilding the whole computer. I just wanted to upgrade the OS.I ended up getting an Intel DP55WG motherboard, Core-i7 870 CPU and 4 of these 4GB sticks of RAM. The board properly recognized them right off the bat, and they show properly in Win7. And the *new* HTPC is blazing fast. I got a video card with HDMI-out, and I also bought an HDMI capture card. This thing doesn't even break a sweat. Blu-Ray? No problem. HD DVR? Piece of cake.I can't speak for everyone and their varous configurations, but this RAM worked flawlessly for me.

YUP. IT'S TRUE. 4GB RAM STICK. buy two and get the power of 8 gb ram or more. it is automatically compatible with my ASUS M5A78L-M LX and AMD PHENOM IIX4 975 quad core. boots up quickly on windows7 ultimate 64 bit les than 20 seconds. some laptops are deadly fast you think its not right! lol. processes are fast. open programs quick. i am not a gamer so my pc is used for developing photos, hd videos and blu-ray films plus many more. looking forward to buying a 6 core or maybe save up for a 8 core beast depending on how much my am3 plus mobo can handle.

In the last year I've bought quite a bit of RAM, and when I saw this I was sure they sent me the wrong RAM. But nope, They halfed the height, so it's smaller but just as powerful! Fitted into my system like a charm as always with Kingston, and the System picked it up straight away. With Kingston you can never go wrong, EVER. And at £13 for 4gb it's a no brainer, Considering how last year I paid £20 for 1 gig, kind of lets you know how happy and upset I was buying this :)

this piece of kit which effortlessly slots into your pc and does the trick but beware...if you are using x32 bit operating systems your pc will be able to read the 4gb no problem but if you try and install 2 x 4gb it will see both cards but it will not use both, you will only have 4gb ddr.the only way to get the best out of both is to upgrade to x64 but again some versions of windows will only see 4gb not 8gb and you will then have to try and install a ram patch.

I bought a single 4GB stick to upgrade an HP Microserver N36L and the ram works absolutely fine, I replaced the existing 1GB stick as it isn't compatible running with the new memory at the same time (ECC and non-ECC). The module is very small so no problems fitting into the Microserver chassis, I would advise against buying ram with heatsinks as it may not fit into the limited space within the Microserver.

A boring stick of RAM made by a good solid manufacture. Now in a low profile DIM. I have had very good experience with Kingston and they stand behind their products. This particular product is for value propositions only. Running on a system with integrated graphics, it is worth thinking about buying something faster. This a single stick and for most applications a dual kit is a faster option.

low profile ram chip excellent price fits in the smallest of gaps just plugged into board powered up and instantly recognized by pc. ended purchasing another of these chips to finish my build and get pc running at par, and have given them a 5 star rating as my second order was delivered within 2 days of ordering as didnt have to worry about xmas post anymore and would recommend to others.

I recently bought 2 sticks of this, and I have to say, 8gb of ram for £25 (It was on a sale, normal would be around £40) is amazing! The ram arrived on different days, but I did order 2. It came in a simple box, with just warranty and the ram itself inside. It is actually surprisingly small, and installing was a breeze. I would surely recommend this for anybody with a DDR3 motherboard.

i bought this by accident ddr3 dont know what there for but needed ddr2, but ddr2 comes in two different sizes small lappys big desktops. make sure you know what you want b4 buying with only a picture to go off. also some second hand shops sell them from £7-£15 depending on the size 1-2gbs so you can physically see what ur getting so you can take your one to compare the difference!
