After much price comparison (and soul searching) I decided to upgrade my ASUS desktop computer's RAM: if you are serious about multicore CPUs (multicore CPUs offer potentially greater benefit than overclocking a single CPU core) then you provide ample RAM. I've had good experience with Kingston RAM upgrade earlier purchases, the Kingston website suggested this DIMM matched pair, and Kingston suggested upgrades had the lowest price. I bought this DIMM matched pair kit, I removed my single existing DIMM, and I installed the Kingston DIMM pair. Now I learn that my ASUS motherboard uses dual-channel RAM: it is good that I purchased matched DIMMs.DIMMs are static-sensitive; you must follow the rules.During the installation I wore non-static rubber-soled jogging shoes; I kept my knees pressed against the metal desk's walls; the desktop computer was completely unplugged; I wore a cheap anti-static wrist strap clipped to the desktop computer's chassis; and I installed the DIMMs gently (the DIMMs and the DIMM sockets are precision equipment; applying muscle here only creates problems). Before the installation I downloaded MemTest86 free software, I built a MemTest86 bootable CD-ROM, and I verified that my pre-existing RAM was faultless. After the Kingston DIMM installation I verified that the Kingston DIMMs were faultless. I also verified that Windows 8.1 recognizes my upgraded RAM. I know that my Kingston RAM upgrade was successful and beneficial.

One of the cheapest price I could find for memory. I didn't realize that this was a SHORTER height than most memory (shorter than the my originally installed memory), but it fit just fine lengthwise. I have a HP Compaq Elite 8200 CMT with a quad core i5, 3.3 ghz processor, I bought two of these and they worked just fine. When I first installed, on first boot, it displayed an error about memory, but it mentioned pressing F1 to reboot, and I did so, after that, it rebooted and everything was normal and it worked just fine. Maybe the motherboard was telling me there is a change in memory size on first boot after install? Either way, it works just fine.I may order 2 more in the future to max out my memory to 32 GB.

This reference can be checked on the Kingston memory web site as Kingston Value memory, it's shown as 1600MHz on the additional product information on Amazon's product page and, Kingston have confirmed it. My BIOS also reports this memory reference as 1600MHz. I've uploaded three images to the product page that confirms the speed as 1600MHz. It performs well too. I have 2 x 8GB of this memory in dual channel set at stock parameters in an ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard and the Windows Experience score is 7.8 out of 7.9. Kingston have also confirmed that:" Please also note that overclocking is not recommended or supported with this ValueRam module. For overclocking, products from the hyper X range are best suited."

I purchased this for use in a HP Microserver which can be fussy about memory. This has worked flawlessly and the machine always boots with all 16GB available as expected - some people have issues where the Microserver only sees 8GB half the time. The little thing now flies. Yes you can buy RAM with a lower latency but it won't make much difference to these Microservers.if you want reliability then as Yoda would say - "memory you are looking for is this" :)

I bought this new RAM to replace the 8GB of DDR3 I had in my Alienware X51 R2. I was a little worried about upgrading cos it's hard to find information on upgrading that system, but it was well worth it. No problems whatsoever with this RAM, it passes memory tests and performs well, and runs at 1600MHz as it should in my system, even though it's known to be a little finicky with speed at times :)Very happy, and I would buy again if I ever needed to.

Great price for quality RAM. I'm using this on a Z68 motherboard (ASRock) with Ivy Bridge Intel. I've got 4 sticks for a total of 32 GB. The RAM works as expected and is perfect for a home server system. Unless you have a specific need for higher priced RAM I would certainly recommend the Kingston Value line as a quality product. My use is on Windows 2012 with Hyper-V running various flavors of virtual systems. I would buy this again for my need.

This is reasonably good ram at a reasonably good price. It does not have a heatsink, but you really don't need one unless you are overclocking the memory. I used it to gain some headroom on a 16gb system, I removed the 4gb and added the 8 for a total of 20. You may lose a bit of performance by using unmatched sticks but I found memory intensive apps like Premiere Pro run a bit smoother with 20gb, even though theoretically they only need 12gb.

I am currently adding to the memory of my HP h8-1234 and this was at a great price given a gift certificate I was able to apply toward it. Slipped it right in, booted, was recognized and ran well from the git-go. I know how to use computers but not as knowledgeable on some of the technical things. This product doesn't have heat sinks, isn't a pretty color, etc.,, likely cannot overclock but I'm not a gamer; works just fine so far. Recommend.

What is great about this RAM is it gives you a blazing middle speed of 1600 MHz everything in memory runs crisp. It does not have heatsinks true but if your not overclocking it is not necessary. This RAM is efficient. The RAM comes with a limited lifetime warrenty. If it fails you just file a claim and get it replaced. Everything runs smooth crisp and clean. I honestly think Kingston is the the best company you can buy RAM from.

This memory and all Kingston memory I have are very reliable. This model has excellent test characteristics as ValueRam memory (for regular users). The main minus related to sellers (not for memory) because the description never give you information about kind of PROFILE of the memory they sell. The same models should have low profile or regular profile (test speed result is the same).

I purchased this RAM because it was the 8 GB counterpart to the 4 GB module I already have installed. The increase in performance I received is absolutely remarkable. This is easily one of the best computer upgrade investments I have ever made. This bumped me up to 12 GB of RAM. I plan on replacing my existing 4 GB module with another one of these. Worth every penny.

I wanted Ram with no heatsinks. From my experience when you press ram to the slots you need to push a bit more than any other component and heatsinks are glued to the memory chips. No issuesI build the PC since 7th of October 2014, I build it my self. I wanted to wait a few months before posting a review. No issues.

Bought this to replace 8GB of ram in a work computer that wasn't quite holding up. I can't say I saw a speed improvement exactly, but with the additional capacity, it stopped swapping memory to the disk, which was a substantial improvement. It's cheap enough so that you'll probably not need more ram for a long time.

My desktop PC is starting to show it's age, but still able to cope with all the tasks I need - albeit a little slower than I would like. Rather than forking out for a replacement PC, I increased the RAM from 16 to 32 GB. It's almost like a new PC, but at a much lower price. Should keep me happy for a few more years.

Pretty decent price and zero compatibility issues.I didn't do any real benchmarking on this as it simply wasn't warranted. I needed some solid memory to replace some modules that ended up having compatibility issues with a newer, slightly different board.Works great in an ASUS M81M-D Plus mobo.
