We've recently downsized to smaller home and a very small plot with this being our first spring and summer in the new home. Space is at a premium here so this rake works perfectly for our needs - flip the lever and push the sleeve forwards to expand tines spread for use, or backwards to retract for neat, compact storage, lock the lever and everything stays where it's meant to. The tines are a bit more narrow than standard leaf rake tines so at full extension it is a little more work to rake up grass clippings but the extra work is proving good exercise and great for really digging into a severely neglected but thick lawn. This rake also worked nicely to collect overhang trimmings,

This is great value and well made, it really does the job. Great to change the size of the head to get into small spaces to rake, and make it bigger to rake up leaves quickly. Do check that the little nut heads are tight, as when I first used it, the vibrations of raking had made them come loose a bit and I didn't want to lose them in the grass. Now they are tight, they have not loosened again. Also great if you are a mobile gardener, as it folds up small to transport, and stores in a small shed. Brilliant rake, very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this for spreading Wood chips makes life easier
