Flavoured vodkas are pretty ubiquitous these days, although this one definitely emerges as a bit of a premium contender amongst the Absoluts and Smirnoffs. The 40% proof offering comes from a brand I've not heard of previously, but looking into it, turns out to be a family-based firm with a decent heritage.The quality is apparent on a first tasting. It's smooth, with an ever-so-slightly smoky taste, I thought - wonderfully peppery, but with that unmistakable citrus tang, too. It's an altogether more sophisticated, complex taste compared to the familiar High Street citrus brands. In other words, it's a real treat, if you like citrus vodkas. An early Christmas present for me this year in the shape of a 70cl bottle of vodka.This 40% proof vodka comes under the label Ketel One, a brand I've not come across before but apparently it's distilled at Nolet distillery in Holland.What sets this vodka apart from others is that it contains an infusion of lemon and lime essences. Now my favourite short tipple is vodka and lemonade so the manufacturers have really hit the spot with me with this one.A quick tasting, purely for the purposes of this review, reveals a vodka which, to me, is a lot smoother than the vodkas I normally drink. This combined with the discrete citrus flavour make this product a winner.Christmas is coming,

As a non.drinker, I handed this product over to my savvy friends for their verdict. Four friends,unanimous verdict: they loved it! All liked the presentation of the bottle, which might sound silly, but if you're buying as a gift, you want this to.look good. Friend A: "Looks really expensive! Good for Brownie points!" Taste...all approved, said it was fruity and strong enough to give a vodka kick. Any negatives? Friend C ( the nitpicky one!) : " I can't taste two different limes and three different lemons as they CLAIM!!" Friend D: " Does it taste good?" Friend C: "Yes"Friend B: " Shut up, then!". Good stuff. Apparently. And now I have to buy more, because they've all got the taste for it.

This is certainly a very good citrus vodka. It has the smoothness of Ketel One's Classic vodka with yes, the actual taste of lemon and limes. Compared to some other brands this is positively fruity, although I am not so sure my poor old palate can detect three types of lemon and two of lime as claimed. As far as my voyage of citrus type vodkas goes this is so far the best. A strong vodka but with not too much sweetness. Best drunk ice cold as a shot or with your favourite mixer this is worth the money compared to other brands. Enjoy !

Ketel One Citroen Vodka is not a Vodka I was familiar with but I thought the idea of infusing the Vodka with lime and lemon during production gives this Vodka a unique edge of some of its competitors.The infusion is certainly a welcome change to regular brands but it isn't totally uncommon, the difference here is that the taste is subtle but still zesty.The Vodka is 40% proof and bottled in a really funky classy embossed bottle making this the ideal present for the festive period.

Flavoured vodkas can really vary and so many of them have horrid, fake notes to them. This isn't 'flavoured', it's infused with real lemon which means that it has a lovely, refreshing lemon flavour, which together with the smoothness of the vodka means that it's one of the best I've tasted. You could drink neat combine into a Bloody Mary as suggested or (my personal favourite so far) combine with fresh lemon juice and soda to make a really refreshing, zingy summer drink.

This Ketel One Citroen Vodka, 70 cl is a lovely crisp flavoured vodka. I had not previously heard of the brand before but on first taste I can see it ranks up there with Grey Goose (my favourite!) Enjoy this straight from the freezer, as is or with your favourite mixer. It is strong stuff and certainly warms the cockles this time of year. The citrusy hit is lovely and compliments the smooth taste of the vodka well. A little more expensive but definitely worth it. Cheers!

Heavily influenced by Excellent Adventures Gooteks ft Mike 'Mike Ross' Riues I tried out this Vodka and can say as a person who doesn't drink often, that this is a phenomenol vodka. The quality and refreshing citrus taste is amazing, much smoother than Smirnoff which I guess is my only comparison in my vodka drinking experience. Only tried it with coke but this is great for straight shots. The bottle is also really top stuff.

I had never heard of this Vodka before but rather like flavoured spirits so was happy to try this one. Quite a revelation. Far smoother than our usual brand and the infusion of citrus turns it into quite a sophisticated drink. I was happy with a splash of tonic in it but my husband reported that it made an amazing Bloody Mary. Not as cheap as supermarket buys but in a league of its own and well worth the outlay.

Hadn't heard of this brand before, and was a bit sceptical it might be just another slightly artificially-flavoured vodka. In fairness, it is very drinkable indeed, with the lemon flavour being proportionate and not at all artificial tasting. Mixing with tonic gives a great taste. Easy 4 star.

A really smooth vodka, with added citrus for a lovely fresh taste. Goes well on it's own (go easy!), or with a favourite mixer. The lemon and lime blend makes it a vary adaptable vodka which will go with any number of mixers or cocktails. A step up from a standard vodka.

A lovely drinking experience, great vodka with citrus notes from lemon and lime. Extremely smooth and very well balanced citrus which doesn't taste plasticy or harsh. Superb straight from the freezer to really bring out the vodka notes. Lovely straight or with a mixer.

This vodka is infused with lemon and has a smooth tasty flavour. It doesn't taste artificial and is of good quality. I have been really enjoying it on ice.

This is just as easily drunk on its own as with a mixer. I like the subtle hint of lemon and smoothness of the spirit.Well crafted and recommended
