I needed a screen like this as I share an office with my staff and it can be awkward at times when working on confidential documents. I have wanted to order one through work, but due to budget constraints I have not been able to do so.The screen arrived well packaged, but not in too large a box given its size. Very nice screen, but unfortunately it was too big for my monitor. I am considering trimming it down, but am not sure if this would affect the performance. I misunderstood the measurements, very important to consider this when purchasing.Given some of the reviews, should I chose to trim it down I will get my own double sided tape as some of the reviewers mention that the sticky tape is

The Kensington Privacy Screen comes flat packed with instructions, a cleaning cloth and mounting fixtures. The screen has a matte side and a glossy side, either of which can face you, depending on your preference.There are two methods of attaching the screen. You can attach the supplied double-sided adhesive trips to the screen and then stick the screen to your display. The other way is to attach the more ridged plastic mounting tabs to the outside edges of your display bezel and the slide the screen behind the tabs. Although this is not on my laptop, I ordered it for the other half as I’m very on the ball when it comes to privacy, especially with sensitive or confidential information and thought this would be useful for his work laptop that does indeed contain sensitive work data. These are his thoughts on it:* Although it actually wasn’t the right size for my laptop, it was very easy to cut down to size with standard scissors.* The screen protector comes with a screen cloth and some blue tags to enable you to put it on the screen without (hopefully) fingerprints.* States privacy is around 30 degrees either direction (which tried to highlight in the video attached).* Quick and easy assemble time.* Very good high quality.* Still day on the fence with regards to the price/

What is it? This is a plastic screen that sits on top of your touch screen device, and provides a level of security from people looking over your shoulder. It essentially restricts the angles from which the screen can be viewed from virtually 90 degrees of arc either side of the normal (i.e., any angle from the front) to about 30 degrees of arc either side of the normal. It attaches relatively easily, and the touch screen facility is largely retained, though I do find I have to press a little harder or repeatedly in certain areas of the screen. The privacy feature works well, with the view from straight ahead only slightly distorted (not enough to be a problem) and the view form the sides completely blacked out.

This is an effective Privacy Filter. I know it is effective because in a Dual Monitor setup a situation in which I can't seat right in front of either Monitor, it is hard to read the screens unless I keep moving to be right in front of any of the Monitors. So that shows how hard it is for someone seated by your side to see what is on the Screen. So I use it on another PC that has only one Monitor and located in a relatively busy room so I am happy that the chance of people seeing what is on my screen is minimal.That said, the adhesive tape provided is not good. The filter keeps falling down. I do not like the alternative provided as are to be stuck directly on the screen.

This is a heavy price tag although most are above 50. The price reflects the quality and the image shown which I think is brighter than other films I have used. The screen can be seen from directly in front and not off to the sides which prevents passers by, or other colleagues seeing what you are doing. Some places require this to comply with GDPR especially in a clinical setting and great for a reception area too.The ability to house this on the screen without sticking it and using the tabs to make the film removable works well for when you need to show your colleagues something on the screen or you find yourself needing privacy in only some situations.

This is a great screen filter & privacy screen, it’s great for when you work in the type of job & do not want other staff of colleges sat to the left of right of you seeing your screen. It is also great as a filter from blue light so you don’t damage your eyes, I wish we had these years ago when I worked on old CRT monitors my eyes are not that good now because of not having a filter like this. The other great thing about having one of these is if you have a very expensive 24” monitor for gaming or the like this will protect your screen from damage. This is expensive & you could find cheaper ones out there but you are getting excellent quality for money.

The privacy protector works great, the further you view the protector from the side the darker the screen becomes before turning completely black.When facing from straight on, It does make the overall brightness slightly darker so I would only recommend for devices that color quality and brightness isn't a problem e.gI RECOMMEND FOR:Work only monitors,Phones and tablets,I DON'T RECOMMEND FOR:Gaming Devices,Video and photo editing monitors,Overall, the privacy protector works flawlessly, it makes viewing from any position other than straight on very difficult, But does slightly reduce the brightness when looking straight on.

Kensington are a company of which I have had dealings with in the past. Their customer service is great and their social media is active and a good way to get help. I have taken this screen privacy adapter to use on my work machine. I teach in the forces so it's good to have that privacy when needed.Installing the protector was super simple. It's rigidity made it easy. I cleaned my screen as instructed and it went air bubble free. The viewing angle of the monitor is now polarised and you must sit directly in front to be able to see what is presented. It's perfect for the job. If not a little pricey.

Some laptop screens are a bit hit or miss with sizing and can sometimes be a little fiddly when trying to install it the first time around. Thankfully this well-thought-out designed privacy screen fits my 15.4 inch screen like a glove with no bubbling, Loose corners or cracking. So far it has stood up well to knocks and bumps without any damage and seems to be built quite well. It took me about 5 minutes to carefully install It and gives me a decent amount of privacy, So it feels pretty good not having to look over my shoulder and move my screen out of the way when people are around.

Good quality and sturdy. I found it easy to fit and remove, as I used the non permanent way of using it. It needs to be dusted and kept smudge free or that gets annoying and distracting, but that is quick and easy to do.It is light weight and can be carried around and and fits into a laptop bag as it is slim enough, even with the laptop. The privacy is great and is truly amazing when you first see how effective it actually is.Impressed with its quality and it is good value as it is sure to last. Nice to not have people reading my emails while I sit drinking a coffee!

This is an extremely effective privacy screen that attached to my monitor and is ideal for reducing the glare on my screen. It was very easy to attach with the supplied adhesive strips and then I had a problem a few hours later, the strips just did not hold the screen to the monitor. It may be that the screen is just too heavy and the strips are just not adhesive enough. The strips did not leave any sticky residue behind though.This is a good screen that does what it is supposed to but did not remain attached, I may need to work something else out for attaching it.

Easy to use, with two different surfaces (shiny and matte). With the shiny surface against the screen it cuts out most issues for reflections. It does also dim the display slightly but not a great deal.It does reduce the angle that you can read the screen, so prying eyes alongside you are less of an issue. As you move the angle of the screen it appears to be darker and darker until you can't make anything out.Touch-screen still works fine.Very effective but it is at a price. I'm not sure if (at the time of review) £43.99 is good value.

This seems quite an expensive product for what it is. You do get a choice of two finishes depending upon what you want to use your machine for and how might light you want through. There are a variety of fittings to try and to be honest they are not the greatest and this is the main thing that lets it does, especially at this price level. The sticky ones in particular didn’t do the greatest of jobs of holding it in place. Saying that it does offer decent privacy, especially from the left and right sides.

My husband complains about the glare from his computer screen but doubted the efficacy of a filter until I just rested this against his monitor – bingo! Immediate result. Each side is different - one is shiny, one matt, and it an be fitted in one of two ways. We haven't actually fitted this because his monitor is very slightly recessed and so has a little ledge which is just enough for the filter.I must admit to being surprised at the price of this, but having seen how effective it is it is worth it.
