I purchased a pair of the Keen Revel III boots a few weeks ago and was impressed enough to buy another pair when they went on sale on Amazon. I have wide feet and wear a Merrell Moab wide width during the summer. I have had a difficult time finding a wide width insulated boot and have been using the Moabs for winter hiking as well. The Moab is a great boot but not quite designed for all day snowshoeing in the Adirondacks with the temperature sitting around 0 degrees. I was pleased to find that the Keen Revel III fit my foot well and have been impressed with their performance. I have used the boots for about 5 snowshoeing trips so far and the boots have performed well. The weather has been rather mild so far this year so I have only used them in 20-30 degree temps with my longest use lasting for about 6 hours. So far, they have kept my feet warm, dry and worked very well with the snowshoes. I have not owned the boots long so I cannot attest to their long term durability at this time. Happy Hiking.

I bought these boots specifically for a 45 day Sigma III Survival instructor course. From day one we lived in primitive shelters in the Ozarks and these boots went through water, mud, snow, sleet, rain, rocks, gravel, ice, A LOT of fire exposure, up and down mountains in temps ranging from 70 and sunny to single digits. They saved me from a hatchet once and a few knife slices.. Overall, I love them. We had an embedded camera man documenting our class and when asked my two most important pieces of gear I quickly answered my Keen boots and my Esee knife. They kept my feet mostly warm and dry. Really for long-term exposure to whatever conditions, you need to be wearing good wool socks and change them out regularly.Only two complaints.. The laces broke (which I switched out to 550 anyway) and the eyelet popped out which really sucked. On day 38 I had to swap out to my Rocky SV2s. I'm gonna contact the company and see what they have to say. Overall really great experience with them.

I am re-doing my review for these. These didn't seem to be waterproof, but they are. My feet were sweating, apparently, which I had never had happen before. I meant to retunr them, but I had more hunts to do and no other boots. I wore them anyway, with double wool socks, and they were great. I used them for the rest of the season. One thing though, you need to get some durable laces. Mine broke on the left shoe and I had to tie it together and I was about 6 miles from the truck. So learn a few knots if you don't get new laces haha. I walked through a small stream and my feet didn't get wet. I was overall satisfied with these boots. As promised, I changed my negative review on these.I wasn't happy at first that my feet seemed to be wet on my first hike with them, apparently my feet were just sweating. Can' blame that on the boots.

Just what I expected from Keen. Another great boot. Received these a few days ago and got to try them yesterday. The build quality is excellent. Looks and feels durable. The are really light for a hiking boot but yet feel very sturdy and supportive on my feet. I was about 10 min into my walk with the dog over a gravel trail when I remembered I was wearing a new pair of boots. They felt so comfortable almosy as if I had my sneakers on. I own another pair of Keen boots which I've had for around 8 years or so. I've put those boots threw so much torture and they still are intact and lots of life left in them. They are more geared towards mid winter which is the reason I went with a new pair of mid cut boots this time.I most definitely recommend these boots to anyone . You won't regret it.

Having tried on another pair of Keen boots in a store, I knew they were perfect for my wide feet. I have big calves and they are wide enough at the top as well. Best features: Extremely warm, wide and very comfortable. I have wide feet and bought a size 11, and I have to wear thick socks otherwise there will be too much movement inside the boot. So for more narrow footed people, I would buy half a size smaller if you are not sure. Grip is good and they did not need to be walked in first. If anything, the lacing is a bit fiddly and the top of the tongue pressed against my shin, but again, that is due to the space my calf takes up. No fault of the shoe. I bought these as I am going to Iceland and so far,I am very happy. Would definitely buy again.

Four stars, yes, but I love these boots. Four stars because they are most definitely not 100% waterproof. I would say they are pretty water resistant and wouldn’t mind wading through a very shallow stream, but after three hours hiking in the snow, my feet and socks were soaked through (not sweat). I had to dry them in front of the heater all night. The moisture could be felt inside the boot. They are, however, very comfortable. If you’re not in over 2” of snow they are excellent cold weather boots. They’re very light boots and well made.If you’re in cooler weather but not in deep snow or wading through more than a few water crossings, these are great boots.

A very wide fit, so can feel a little loose unless you have thick socks; these are VERY warm boots, so this will mean hot feet in the summer. Overall the quality is very good, and the boots will be useful in the winter; especially in snow and ice. The sown-in tongue doesn't come up very high, so limited wading depth in water. The main grey fabric/leather looks to be prone to fading pretty quick, so they'll soon be light grey rather than anything like black.I'll be keeping mine for dry cold conditions, and as an 'approach boot' (they are also flexible enough for driving), swapping over to my Meindl boots for heavy-duty wet and muddy terrain.

I've walked about 60 miles so far and they felt great from the get go. I was a bit concerned about fitting and at first thought they might be a little too short for my feet, but have had no issues with toe bruising or any blistering. I bought them for snow hiking and fall backpacking. I haven't had a chance to try them in those conditions yet, but have walked in 25º F weather for about an hour and my feet were toasty warm. For someone with as bad of circulation as me that was quite nice. They seem sturdy and I can't wait to put them through some more rigorous testing in the Cascades.

I have been wearing Keens for almost 20 years and have loved every pair. It was time for a new winter/hiking boot so I hooked up with these. I know this sounds bizarre but the first set of laces went within 2 weeks. Bought replacement ones and a month later same thing. It seems that the edges of the eyelets are little razors that shred the laces every time you tighten them. Have tried to "file" the edges but to no avail. About to go get my 4th set of laces. Sounds petty but this is REALLY annoying. Other than that the shoes are fantastic

I am a woman and bought these in a mens because i liked the colors better than the womans version. Im a 9.5 women's and the 8 is the perfect size. They fit absolutely perfect and are by far some of the most comfortable shoes i own. They feel better than my reebok zigs to be honest!!! They are also very rugged looking and seem to be very well made. I love the colors of them its like a charcoal color with a tinge of army green with yellow accents . They are just great and these are my second pair of keens. KEENS ROCK!!!!!

I love the two other pair of Keens I own so I had high expectations for these as well. The Revel III has not disappointed. They fit just as I expected and have worn them all day at work for a couple of days now with no issues. I have not had to deal with any cold weather yet so I can't say how they will perform in this area. Also, a big reason I bought Keen's was there lifetime replacement policy (which I have used and they have followed thru on 100%). With that peace of mind, how do you not buy Keen's.

Good boots. I bought them without much time for break in before a hiking trip. Hiked about 70 miles in them over a week. They were great. Comfy, supportive, and waterproof when hiking through some sloppy snow and mud. Weak point was the laces, but really that's minor. Color wasn't quite what I expected. I ordered the olive color, but they are pretty much black. Very very dark. Good boots though. I've never worn keens before, but really like these. Woild definitely order again.

It fits more than a winter boot than a hiking boot. The sole it quite soft, the boot is light and the fit is large. But the fit is OK when I wear a thick sock. They are quite warm, I won't use them over 40°F , 5 °C. On a trail I think I could go a low as -25 °C, in snow I would not go below - 20°C. I walked in wet snow for 2 hours and they were still dry. There is a small metal ring on the boot that attract snow like a magnet. I think I will cut it off.

I love Keens! I purchased these boots in size 13. I took them to Chicago on Black Friday and was out all day in them and my feet were comfortable. They appear to be well-constructed, several of the 12 guys I was with gave positive comments on them and asked where I purchased them. It was in the 40's (temperature) so not a cold day. I don't know how warm they will be when it is in the 20's. Time will tell. But I really like these boots!

Been wearing Keen boots for a number of years, just starting on my 4th pair now. Very comfortable and the "my" size always fits. Great for work, hiking and pretty much, everyday use. I don't hesitate to put them on in rain or snow. I also find them very durable, have 2 pairs on the go, an "older" and a "newer" pair. When the older pair wears out, I pick a style/colour, order, and I'm good for another 4 or 5 years. I recommend them.
