I bought my first Karcher pressure washer (a K580) back in the mid-1980s, when it was used around my small farm to clean the buildings, yard and vehicles. The power was awesome and left every surface on which it was used absolutely spotless (and, until I sussed the pressure control - took off a fair bit of paint here and there, too!). Earlier this year, the splashproof switch broke, and unfortunately, Karcher were unable to provide that particular replacement - despite the efforts of several members of their staff to locate one for me. I'm now retired and bought the K4 Full Control as being the most appropriate model for my less challenging cleaning needs around the garden, cars, etc.

I decided to get my dad a pressure washer for Christmas, for the price I was very happy, I did my research and found the K4 Full Control to be perfect.But today was the first day we used it, and I noticed a few things about it, good and bad.The Bad:The Power cable material is very cheap, where you can't gather it up nicely it's more plastic than rubber, you normally find this on cheap brand tools, so was quite shocked to find this on the mid range Kärcher (k4) especially as most of the time it be kept in the shed/garage so will only get harder to gather up.The adjustment on the lance isn't great, it's on Medium a slight turn/knock and it's on high.It wouldn't take much to design it with a locking nut,

This is my first pressure washer and after doing lots of internet research the Karcher K4 Full Control was the pressure washer that fitted in with my budget and requirements.I love the ease of plug and clean soap detergents for washing the car it's great just covering the car in soap and then just going over with a wash mitt to clean the car and then pressure wash it off has saved so much time and has made cleaning the car a quicker job to complete. It's even more enjoyable now I have the Karcher snow foam attachment covering the car in snow foam before the main wash.The only thing I would change on the pressure washer is to have a longer pressure washer hose as I could not get round the whole car and would have to move the K4 around the car to complete the job.

I originally bought this for home use and used it in out workshop to trial it. There is some assembly required which is straight forward and doesn't even require the instructions. The quality of the product is evident on opening the box with its strong robust structure and feel of the lance. The towing handle is a great feature which saves on lifting when moving around your garden or driveway. The power cable has enough length too, which I've always found to be a problem on previous pressure washers in the past. The settings to adjust the pressure were simple to use and the pressure, even on the car setting, was very impressive.

Purchased a few weeks ago I have had chance to use it once to be honest not as powerful as I would have hoped I bought it to replace an older model that I had been very happy with only replaced it because it was old but it still worked extremely well and I had more power than this new one. Also my old Karcher and very clever wheels on either side for storing the electrical cable and the water hose this one however being more streamlined and compact doesn't have that facility and I feel they've not made it easy to store away the electric cable or the jet hose. So although it's on you and machine nothing is stored tightly as it was with my old Karcher but having said that it's still a very good

I've used my K4 for everything, from washing the driveway, patio, house exterior to my car... does a great job every time. The variable lance is perfect for 90% of what you need, and the pressure display to let you know what level of pressure you're at is ideal! The last 10% benefits from the dedicated power lance, which is really powerful (I even used it to strip the loose paint off the back wall before re-painting). I found the initial setup straight forward, with just a few bits needing to be popped in to place (like the wheels, handle and accessory holder) and it came wit ha few screws to secure these in to place. The quick connect/release adapters make connecting to taps and hoses a simple task also.I use the foam nozzle adapter also,

I bought this to replace my trusty KB9040 which after 15 years and a few repairs had become uneconomical to repair again. The K4 is more compact but I do miss the built in hose reel and retractable lance hose from the KB9040. Whole the unit is powerful I find it a pain to pack away with just a small net to hold the power cable and a hook to hold a very twisty and rigid lance hose. You end up dragging the lance around the ground while wrestling with the hose to get it on the small hook at the back. Fiddly. It also needs a replacement lance from brand new as the original makes a screaming noise and I noticed today after just two uses a couple of ‘hunts’ which could indicate a leak inside the unit,

The Kercher K4 has saved my lockdown. I'd been debating buying a pressure washer for a while but forced entrapment forced my hand and I'm glad it did.Putting our K4 together was easy. My 10 year old and I managed it between us. Connecting the water supply was easy and after a little bit of figuring out(how to get it to level 3) there was no stopping us.Our filthy garden flags and driveway look better than they did when we moved in 5 years ago. The power and precision of the K4 made a really hard job very easy and incredibly satisfying- almost therapeutic! My neighbours are probably sick of the sound of me and my pressure washer but I don't care.My only niggle is the tightly wound cable which

I bought this K4 to replace my 6yr old K4 which died. It works well enough, easy to put together and the wheels on this actually turn.But, in order to update, they have included a tacky digital display on the trigger, you still have to twist the nozzle, really can't see the point, extra production cost and about as useful as a ashtray on a motorcycle.The next gripe is the hose. It loops around a hanger. It is of a harder material, so you have to do a series of drum majorette twizzles to get the tangles undone. Fortunately for me, I bought a premium Karcher anti twist hose last year and this has replaced the packaged one. If they want to charge more,

I bought the K4 full control a few weeks ago as a replacement for my K2 which I have had for several years. The K2 is still working as well as the day I bought it I just wanted a pressure washer with a bit more. This machine comes with a 3 year guarantee which is great. I am happy with this washer which in the main is for washing my VW Transporter and my wife's Mini. I do the occasional clean of the patio and house windows. If I had any negatives about the product it would only be that the standard 6m hose is not long enough for practical use. I bought a 10m hose from another supplier which has made this pressure washer ideal for my purposes.

I wanted to paint the old white painted render finish on my house, but it had a large amount of verdigris build up in patches. Having tried with a bucket, stiff brush and chemical cleaner I gave up and went to B&Q to buy a K4 pressure washer! Luckily I had all the necessary hose fittings and once assembled got to work. It made short work of the green buildup and in an afternoon the house was as clean as it has ever been. I had to be careful of the jet wash if it was too close to the wall for fear of blasting off the render but all was well. I wish that I had had a jet lance for the high bits as working up a ladder was not really to be recommended but I was in too much of a hurry to start

I bought this Karcher K4 to replace my old one, the features have been updated to improve the machine, as the handle now locks in, much easier to move around and the hose attachment on the side is is much better to access, also the storage area has improved, things stay in place when moving the machine. I bought this last April, the first one had a faulty screw for the transit handle so it was collected on 21 Apr 16 and the replacement arrived the next day. Excellent service. The electronic display for the various settings on the lance is helpful as I have arthritis in my hands and it was not always easy to tell if I had turned to the correct setting.

Bought the K4 to replace my faithful old Karcher, It lasted 14 years and done everything I needed it to do. So far the K4 has performed well and is more powerful than my old one and I now have more control with the variable Lance. The fact that you can now use the detergent in the bottle in the machine is great, keeps everything together and tidy. The high pressure hose is 4 meters long which is ideal for going round a medium sized car. The machine itself is very easy to use although it's quite heavy, The only negative thing I will say is that it uses a lot of detergent to wash a car ? I used a full litre to wash my car first time I used it.

I had moved into a new house (immediately before lockdown) and had a mess of paving slabs, decking and neglected walls. I took my Karcher out (it had been in storage for three years) and it worked for about three mins then the motor failed!- devastated! I ordered a new one and despite a longer delivery time than usual (understandably) my new one arrived, so pleased! It is more powerful and I am very happy with it. Only negative is their is no longer a pipe for additives so my old chemicals are useless and I will have to get the new dedicated bottles for the new fitting.All in all though very happy with it!

I bought this machine 6 months ago to clean my van. The vario lance is excellent for adjusting the power of the water. There is a design problem with the washer. The power lead and hose's fit into the bottom of the machine so when you try to move it about you run them over and get tangled up. Would have been better if they fitted into the top of the machine to keep them away from the wheels. I can't comment on the full control accessories because even though in my deal I was supposed to receive £100 worth of accessories they have still not been delivered to me.
