Purchased this as my all around helmet for road and Mountain biking. At first I was not sure I was keen about the price feature benefits, but over time I have found that this helmet to be well designed and the air venting the best I have used. The other key features are: removable padding inserts, optional net bug-net insert, conforming inner core padding, light weight, and the super easy ratchet strap. Having used the wheel type fastener on other helmets, I was kid of missing this at first, but the ratchet design works just as well. Having removable padding is great so I can give it a wash after every few rides. And this thing looks cool too!

This helmet is very cushiony with memory foam inserts and adequate padding, easy rear one hand adjustment for tightness and tons of vents. I seem to like it better than the 661 recon I had before and even comes with extra replacement padding in the box, which is why I replaced my old helmet, it wore off after 2 years. I only wish the visor went up and down. Price is a tad high too but other than that, great deal for a high quality mtb helmet.

Have only had the helmet a month now but this past weekend took a nasty spill in a rock garden and the helmet did a great job of saving my head.It is a sturdy helmet no doubt but because it is so well balanced I often forgot that it was even on the head.would recommend this to any and all.. well worth the cash

I'm not really qualified to compare helmets, but this one is so light and comfortable I love it. The tiny brim is nice as a small sun/glare shield. I like the look of the black/white. This review is for the Maraka XC
