Purchased two of these to use in conjunction with ganaching plates; one to sit on top of the turntable and the second to place on top of the cake when turning it over. Used these with 6 inch and 8 inch triple layer sponges and it worked a treat! The circular shape means that you are able to lift the whole cake safely unlike rectangular cake lifters that may have cake hanging over the sides. More durable that cake drums and much easier to clean.
