Jura is a whisky that is well known that you see on supermarket shelves that is marketed at a point slightly higher than the mass market brands and at a price point that is slightly higher than the key £20 a bottle point. But is it worth paying a few quid extra for something in a box that looks (and sounds) a slight cut above the average. Well, for my money, it is. But only just. The packaging is OK but nothing too special and the bottle itself is quite ordinary. It is the flavour that is important though and, yes, this Jura Journey has a slightly longer finish than the mass produced brands and the flavour is slightly more complex than others. But only just.In summary, it just about does the trick.

I lived in Ayrshire for 2 years on the Seamill side of Dalry Road and I am a self-confessed Malt Pig / Snob.having once been treated to a 25yr old Macallan. As everyone, I have my own taste, I would rate a 10yr old Aberlour above a 20yr old Glenfiddich. This was a totally pleasant shock, starts off sweet then a nice kick aftertaste. Very cheap for what I class as a very decent malt. Buy quickly before the internet arrives. I've just ordered another 2 after my first sup, For historians, the Dalry Road was built by Romans, ask them about Portencross before ... aaargh

Temperature always affects certain prominence of taste within any mix, whisky is no exception.I found Jura some 10 years ago, & have been a convert ever since.So smooth it could easily be dismissed as "forgiving whisky for beginners" ...it's not harsh, no nasty burn experienced with other less forgiving spirits / whiskies which is helpful for those who tend to think of it as bad medicine that burns on the way down!Lovely stuff, buy a bottle or two!

I got a bottle of this from a friend for Christmas. I don't drink a lot of whisky and would usually pick a higher price range for a treat. This is great. No smoke or peat, just traditional whisky flavour with a hint of bourbon. Suits my palate nicely. It's way better than say Auchentoshan American Oak which is harsher, although still not bad at the £20 mark. Could be a great and affordable introduction for those new to whisky.

As a Jura fan I was excited to see the new products and try them. Jura Journey is a great whisky I love the sweetness and vanilla which is combined with just a hint of smoke and would highly recommend. Great value for money, a premium product at an affordable price point and lovely packaging - I'll be buying again.

To be honest I don't really know about the flavour and sheerness. I bought this as a present for my whisky drinking dad.However the quickness at which he drank it (and his comments while he tried it when I gave him the whisky) suggested he enjoyed it very much. Think I know my new 'go to' present for my dad!

Now this was a complete shocker...took a risk on this as my partner likes his whisky matured in sherry or port casks and this was a bit of a gamble. Turns out it's now his favourite whisky! Incredibly smooth and drinkable with some very complex flavours. Definitely buying more.

This item arrived well packaged in a nice box as featured in there Photos that’s great appreciate it by my father and he even let me have a small test so that I could write this feedback will definitely buy myself some in the future good packaging and a very pleasant taste

Bought as a gift for brother who said he loved it. Nice flavour and good nose (not a clue myself)His only slight criticism was the box was slightly buckled. He usually has his whisky on display in their boxes. But it didn’t affect the Taste or the seal of the whisky.

I’ve never really liked whiskey as found it to be harsh and just burn my throat, but decided to give this a go and so pleased I have. It’s smooth, tasty, (no burn at all!) and leaves a lovely flavour on the palette, almost sweet like caramel.I’m a whiskey convert!

This is a perfectly good single malt for the price - I'm not overly keen on the smokey tones but they're subtle and don't detract from the overall pleasant taste. We used to love Origins but since that's no longer available, this is the next best option from Jura.

Bought it and send it as a gift to someone aged but never seriously tried whisky before.I told him to drink during lunch or after lunch, not to be enjoyed during the evening as he needs something stronger than Jura. He followed and loved it.Highly recommend

What can I say? Didn’t last long! Great value when on offer.Perfect peat taste with smokey undertones.An affordable malt for those who want to avoid the cost of top shelf and willing to spend a tad more than grain price whisky.I’ll definitely be buying more

Gave this to my father for Father’s Day! I usually spend a lot more on a bottle of whiskey for him! He said this is the nicest tasting whiskey I’ve ever gotten him! Bargain at Over half the price of usually mass produced high street supermarket Brands.
