I love Julbos. I've lost several over the years and I keep coming back for more. This model, so to speak, is made for water sports and they've worked great for me. I'm a sailor and these have served me well for racing and pleasure cruising. I tested them in a sink and they do float, but without the side shield attached it's a little less buoyant so it won't sit as high in the water or be as easy to see and retrieve. The side shields seem to work OK but it's not like they seal to your face. I haven't noticed the "hydrophobic" quality of the lenses at all. Water seems to behave the same on these as any other pair of sunglasses I've used, so I still have to wipe them off when I get hit with spray.I have 2 complaints but they're pretty minor:1.

Great fan of Julbo glasses, the wave give great colors and sun protection (though my Julbo Run with Camel lenses had better sun protection I would say). The best with Julbo is after sale service... If anything happens to your frame, ship it back to their customer department, you will receive a new pair !

Highly recommend these sunglasses. They keep out wind, water, and dust and don't fog up. They are lightweight and great for being out on the water or just out and about. I even bought some for my kids!

Everything as expected!! Good protection from the sun, they float (on salt water) and the lens repel the water pretty good!!! (i use them for kitesurfing)
