I typically use a few different shampoos in rotation to avoid a build up of any particular product, so I have experienxe using a large selection of stuff from cheaper brands through to salon brands and natural / organic options.I regularly dye my hair dark brown and although it doesn't vastly fade (since it's very close to my natural colour) it's always nice to have fresher looking colour.The shampoo is in a relatively attractive glossy brown tube which is well designed since it stands on its lid (making it easier to get the product out when there isn't much left). The lid stays on ok but I wouldn't recommend putting it in a travel bag as the tube would easily be squeezed in transit and leak

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper hair conditioner is one hair conditioner which I was surprised I like it so much. The main reason being the price.The first thing I did notice about the hair product was the richness and thickness of the actual conditioner. I felt it was so thick and rich, once applied to my hair it felt like a hair mask.I left it on my hair for at least two minutes to receive the full advantages of using this beautiful hair product. The fragrance was beautiful which allowed me not only to use one excellent hair conditioner, the fragrance was very relaxing and left my hair smelling and looking great.I found I had to really take my time rinsing my hair as the hair

I ordered this in error thinking it was either the Rich Radiance or Visibly Brighter Lightening conditioner, as I hadn't spotted this Visibly Deeper variant in the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo range. I held my breath and hoped it woudn't be too dark.It's a lovely, lovely conditioner, thick and rich and not quite as dark as I expected it to be from the bottle. The colour deepening effect wasn't too noticeable on my mid-brown hair, following the use of the Rich Radiance shampoo.At my age (59 this year) lighter tones in hair are somewhat more flattering than deeper tones, so this will be a conditioner for occassional use for me.I really did appreciate how soft it left my hair afterwards,

This is my favourite hair product and one that I have been using regularly over the last few months. I shampoo and rinse and then apply a good amount of this product to wet hair, using about the same amount as I would conditioner (this substitutes for conditioner, so you do not need to add that as well). It should be left for as long as possible to add a really rich colour but 5 minutes is sufficient to make a difference - just rinse and dry/style as normal. It adds colour and covers areas where fading has occurred and, although 'not suitable' for grey hair, it does add a dusting of colour to any of that as well.The colour looks really good on the day of application but does fade/rub off over the next few days and goes when you next shampoo,

SMELL=====I've had this range before and could smell it before opening. It's a very nice smell, not too overpowering. Pleasant.CONDITIONER===========That said, a conditioner's job is to condition not have a powerful smell. This was perfect. Especially after using the matching shampoo.Although the tube is well made it looks modern and is easy to use.MAGIC======However, I don't have particularly fussy hair, but I can say this is ONE OF THE BETTER conditioners I've used. It didn't lighten nor darken my hair.HAIR TYPE========It's if you have drier hair or damaged hair this is great. It says it adds a bit of vibrancy to dark hair. I can't say it did.

My wife and daughter used this John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo alongside the Conditioner from the same range as the should ideally compliment each other.The aroma was pleasant though difficult to describe and the shampoo has an obvious brown colour to it. The shampoo is easy to squeeze from the tube and applies well to wet hair with a mild lather than is easy to spread but not over the top. While you shouldn't expect this to dye the hair, it does make it noticeably shinier and maybe a little browner, but it's not a huge difference on the colour front.It's quite difficult to say whether it was the shampoo or conditioner that made all the difference. Having recently cut off my long hair so that all the blonde was gone, I was left with brunette strands that were going white in places. I decided to try this to see if it would add a bit of punch to my dark strands so that it didn't look quite so lifeless next to the brilliant white coming through. This says it's Visibly Deeper and i actually does live up to its claim. The shampoo is thick and rich, easy to coat each strand of my hair with and gives a decent enough lather. It rinsed cleanly away, leaving behind a clean, unstained scalp (didn't stain my hands or tub either, not my white hairs) and clean, soft hair. I followed it up with the co-ordinating conditioner and have been pleased with the results.

This is a very handy product if you colour your hair in a brunette shade in that it helps to protect and reinforce a tint you have already applied. It is a rich brown and does give you the impression that you are shampooing your hair with chocolate though minus the smell! It is easy to apply creates a decent foam and on drying leaves your hair with a deep shine and with the existing colour intact to a greater degree than with an ordinary shampoo. However note it is not a replacement to a hair colourant but rather a product to use to maintain that shade between visits to the salon or when you colour at home. It does tend to leave the hair and scalp a touch dry so the matching conditioner is worth having to use alongside the shampoo.

We have been using the brunette range on the brunette in our family ( and the blonde range on the blonde).. we have found that they have both produced results only after quite a few washes, this is. O different in that respect and if you expect to see a noticeable difference in colour after the first use you will be disappointed.However, from the first use we did notice how soft and shiny it left the hair, our brunette has shoulder length hair, which can be prone to tangling, the hair did tangle up,like normal, but brushing these knots and tangles out was a little easier (probably because the hair was so shiny and silky).If you want a faster result colour wise you really do need to use it with the shampoo,

I wasn't very hopeful about this product but thought I'd give it a bash.. I never normally write reviews but I thought this was worth writing about!First off it smells gorgeous! I just rubbed it in my palms and then smoothed it through my hair and left it on for about 5 mins. It makes you hair feel so soft and definitely gives off a great shine! I have to say I did notice a change in the colour. I have some lighter shades in my hair that I wanted to kind of tone as they were a little bit overpowering compared to the rest of my hair. It's subtly deepened them after just one wash! I would definitely recommend this!

As tried by the Brunette in the household: This conditioner was very easy to use. It had a pleasant smell and washed out very easily. It did seem to enhance my already coloured hair by emphasising the highlights and enriching the shade of colour. I believe that this effect was achieved because it really added moisture to my hair which brightened it and made it really shiny. I am not sure there is great value for money in the tube because I do not think the tube will last for many washes. However I would use it again, probably with the shampoo from the same rage, to achieve maximum effect.'

Ok, I was skeptical. But after almost 2 weeks of using this conditioner, I do notice a glossier tinge to my hair, and some brown highlights that show up under the sun that definitely weren't there before. Quite pleased with these results!The reason I can't give it the full 5 stars is because...it stinks. It smells overpoweringly like my ex boyfriend's Lynx Chocolate! Thankfully my Tresemme heat defense spray and styling balm masks it, because I wouldn't want to walk around all day smelling like a bloke. But for people who don't use so many fragrant styling products...beware!

I have brown/reddish hair and I found that this definitely made my hair a much darker colour than usual. I'm not sure how long this will last but it has been an interesting experiment and one that I've enjoyed. The scent of the product wasn't bad, nothing too strong. I found that it foamed up really well and cleaned my hair well too, not to a squeaky clean but good enough for my naturally curly hair. As a person who doesn't colour her hair this is a nice thing to do just to bring out the natural colour rather than go all out on paying for an expensive colour job.

This is a lovely conditioner and leaves the hair silky and very very glossy. The hair is nourished yet it is not left heavy and greasy like many conditioners do. I can't actually notice a difference to the colour but maybe continued use and with the matching shampoo would make a more noticeable difference. I do notice a difference to the health of my hair though and how shiny it is. This also has a nice smell and is light to put on your hair. It is really a great conditioner but don't know that it actually is visibly deeper.

I've recently had my hair dyed brunette over a faded out red and the copper tones had started to show through as the brunette is fading, pre next salon visit.I left it on for the full 10 minutes and it did a fantastic job of hiding the copper tones and I'm back to a rich glossy brunette! Washes out over a couple of normal shampoos but what can uou expect for a conditioner. Personally I think it's fab value and applied more of a colour than I hoped for. Definitely will use regularly between salon visits now.
