The item is exactly as described and is definitely made of sturdy material, not cheap material at all. After all, it is a Joby product. It's as good as it seems. However, because of its cheap price ( I got it for £9), it comes with a few limitations.- This item is not for you if you use the Portrait mode way more than the Landscape mode. Chances are, you probably use the Landscape mode more (most people do) so this is not much of a huge limitation.- If your phone's volume buttons (or any other side buttons) are at the middle area of one of the sides (like my Nexus 6P does), then it's gonna be a bit annoying but it's not a dealbreaker.Basically, because Joby MPod Mini Stand's jaws will be attached at the center area of your phone (as shown in one of the pictures from the description) they might end up pressing and holding the side buttons.I have a cover on my phone so the jaws end up pressing the volume buttons in the beginning but not holding them down. So I'm fine with it.You will have to buy the product to see if it is going to be an issue with your phone or not. You can always return the item, by the way.So yeah. These are the only two possible limitations (but not dealbreakers) I can think of at the moment. All in all, I love it. So cheap. And so useful for me personally because I only use it to record myself dancing. And it's good enough for that.

Been great for my photography and filmography projects. Good hold using rubber, can be difficult when positioning phones with a curved side but the tripod does have drips which the phone can be supported in. I love the adjustable ball-like joints allowing positions on difficult surfaces and a ball joint on the actually phone holder which means the tripod can be positioned before adjusting/balancing the phone. This is a mini stand so as expected, the legs are short and can limit the positions in certain areas but you can be creative and prop the stand to aid in positioning.

PositivesI use this to film my lifts during my workouts, it's small and stable and can easily fit into your pocket without protruding. This fits an iPhone 7 very easily and it seems quite secure, I doubt it could fit larger phones. The feet aren't long enough to wrap around anything like the larger gorilla pod models, however its rubber like structure is stable on any surface. The head piece can also swivel, which I didn't realise until a few usesNegativesIt can only hold the phone in a horizontal fasion, which can be troublesome when certain shots need to be vertical.

Is great for holding your phone or any other flat device that is not too big, I personally use to keep my iphone lifted from my desk in order to get signal. Thanks to the gorilla pod customizable feet you can place it safely everywhere.Unfortunately I think it want last too long as it keeps tight the device thanks only to an elastic and eventually will get loose.

I'm a fan of Joby and needed something to hold iPhone for better photos or whilst watching movies. Perfect for that. It would really be a great tripod if it were able to hold the iPhone vertically as well. The elastic used to hold the phone may break eventually but appears easy enough to replace when/if the time comes.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and ithe fits nicely in here. I like that it is small enough to put inew my pocket but still stable enough to stand on its own. I've also found I can wrap that he legs around things if I want to get a view from above or off ground level.

This is made for propping your smartphone up for watching videos or taking photos, and it does this very well! It feels like a high quality piece of kit and fits my Galaxy S5. Friends have commented on how good it is and I would definitely recommend it.

OK. The jaws that grip the phone intrude on the visible screen a bit, which is annoying. Plus the legs aren't symmetrical in relation to the jaws which is odd and frustrating to balance at times. Other than that, it works just fine.

Nice stand for a mobile phone. I use it with an LG G4 and it holds it well. Don't expect the stability of a larger and heavier stand but as a 'just in case' stand it's very good. How long the shock cord last remains to be seen.

Does a decent job of holding my phone. With a larger phone it can sometimes take a little more effort to get it steady as the legs are short but on the whole it works great

Great quality, fantastic hold and flexibility. Just surprised at how small it was. For the price and useability though its spot on. So handy for my wife's blogging.

Great fun. Bought one for myself and have bought 4 more as gifts. Very easy to slip in your bag or pocket and remarkably stable for selfies, video etc.
