The whole thing folds to 3.75 by 1.4 inches so it is very handy. The footprint goes up to 4.5 inches spread nearly flat. The magnets in the feet are very powerful but much less so if they are not bent flat to the metal surface. It then holds my 220g. Panasonic compact vertically or upside down with complete security. I am sure others would find it does more (though maybe with less strength to spare) but that is what I have tested. The stiffness of the ballcup joints is just right and if they don't loosen up in use, the product should last. The foot and top plate plastic is softer than the rest so should not mark the camera or surfaces it is fixed to.

This is now the second Joby mini I've had. After the first one started to become a bit loose after a lit of heavy duty use. Really can't fault this product, I even went ahead and bought the original as I loved it so much. The magnets probably aren't strong enough to hold your camera alongside a wall or whatever but I suppose why would you be roaming it anyway. 10/10 otherwise! I use this on my youtube channel all the time. It's a great piece of kit - Check it out for yourself (Becca&lloyd)

It's small. About the height of a coffee mug. The magnets are more than strong enough to hold a GoPro session onto a car door at low speeds. Even with the GoPro attached the whole thing easily fits into a trouser or jacket pocket. The legs are versatile enough to fit onto branches, screens, uneven surfaces. I'd say this is a must have for those adventure seekers out there who don't fancy carrying bulky tripods around.

Sooooooo useful! A brilliant tripod that lets you achieve angles and positions quickly and easily. The magnets are so strong and can hold the camera sidewards and upside down too. You can stick the camera anywhere but I wouldn't on any moving vehicles unless you don't care about your products. But for still footage, it's excellent and use it all the time! Obviously it's magnetic so can't use it everywhere!

Very nice pocket friendly mini gorilla pod. Strong magnetic feet hold the tripod with a mobile phone easily. One word of caution - I have a old style train season ticket and I without thought carried both the ticket and tripod in the same pocket. The magnets wiped the magnetic strip on my pass necessitating a replacement season ticket. Entirely my fault so no drop in rating for the item.

For various reasons, I need to use my small compact on self-timer mode quite a bit. This is small enough to fit in a pocket and the twistable, magnetic legs mean I can clamp it securely to lamp posts, fridges cars and the like. Much better than the 'bendy wire' type.This size is fine for small compact cameras - anything bigger and you'll need one of their larger models.

Love it! Magnets strong enough to sit on car hood (I did attach a shoe string from it to the wind shield wipers just for safety, but the tripod did not budge during the good hour of driving, even on bumpy roads).Perfect for small action cam like the Polaroid Cube Plus - they make a nice pair! Perfect video from car with no dash or hood in sight. Sturdy little bugger.

I wasn't expecting much when I got this and I must confess I haven't really found much need to use it. That being said, if I ever do need to use it I know I have a solid tripod with a very strong magnet. I was surprised at how well it held up my gopro but I would be reluctant to trust anything too heavy on one this size. Still, definitely a high quality product.

Bought to use in my baby's room with the Tommee Tippee camera monitor. I was worried it would be too small but it does the job fine. I have stuck a bit of BluTak on the back leg to stop it falling over but I do have the camera placed on a high surface and need it quite tilted. Perfect little tripod though. Very pleased.

Worked really well when I was on holiday - the magnets are quite strong and it managed to stick to the car whilst trying to take pictures at night - managed to capture really decent Northern Light photos!A tad shorter than I expected though, so not that great when you don't have a magnetic surface to stick it on.

Small but useful to carry everyday in your work bag in case you have great opportunities to use it. Love that it has magnetic feet. This became useful when I was in Rome, I placed the stand sideways on a lamp post whilst doing a timelapse of the Colosseum.I keep this always with me.

what a handy little think it is really impressive little tripod and grate quality wery sturdy and easy to use. I very happy with the purchase and think it is a grate replacement from the big clunky one that we had before. I would recommend this to others

Great little piece of kit. Strong little magnets allow it to grip like a virtual limpet crab, Hold the camera nice and securely and fits nicely in the pocket. A few extra colour choices would have been nice but that doesn't affect its quality.

Definitely good quality and I'm using it with gopro. Magnets will work on flat surface ( horizontal) . I wanted to mounted it on the wall and magnets did hold but the whole thing just slided down in slow motion quite funny.
