I can play pretty much all of Van Halen's stuff but have always been dissatisfied when trying to match EVH's tone. This is the answer. Not cheap, but if you have a spare £80 knockin around after pay-day, I definitely recommend this bad-boy to all EVH fans. My Eruption finally sounds like Eruption. A note of caution though: use sparingly for a better effect. Whack it on for EVH solos. If you already have a Flanger at home, try using this for now. A subtle flange will come close to matching this tone. But for purists, it's not the same.

Depending on how you set your signal chain, this can either be a normal phaser or a beautiful subtle phase that really makes your solos pop. After the distortion is ok, but when put before the dirtbox or if you using the amp's gain, it becomes awesome. With the speed on about 9 o'clock you get THAT EVH sound. Its subtle, almost like a gentle wah. Like EVH says it makes your solos really pop. Addictive.
