Overall I like the layout of the game and the storyline is pretty decent but as many people will know, it is not made by its original developers (Naughty Dog) this follow on is developed by 'High Impact Games' which is also a pretty good company. However, you have to remember that this game is designed for the PSP and so some controlls are missing (see negatives below) the graphics are also quite fuzzy and have low resolution textures compared to Naughty Dog, but remember... that is strong competition. IF YOU PREFERED THE FIRST JAK AND DAXTER TO 2 and 3 YOU WILL PROBABLY LIKE THIS ONE!Negatives: (None too major, you shouldnt let these put you off too much!)- The camera is a bit dead (lifeless, you have to move it manually using the second analog stick which is quite annoying for combat)- The whole game runs slightly slower, moves seem to take very slightly longer to perform and the gun spin fire with the blaster (yellow weapon) doesnt work as well as it used to.- The eco powers are new and interesting, some similar to the first Jak and Daxter, but the effects and sounds are no way near as impressive.- Dark Jak has basically gone, you dont seem to be able to inflict dark powers any more at will.- You dont have some of the comforts and you can no longer 'roll' (L1).- As with some other games from 'High Impact Games' you dont seem to be any way near as powerful as your enemies, I often struggled to find enough ammo and found some bosses annoying - the camera doesnt help.- Dark Daxter??????? Inconsistent with previous games, he was already exposed to Dark Eco and mutated into a precursor. How can he randomly mutate again?- (SPOILER) Pirates for some reason, not bad but a bit repetative as with certain other games such as Ratchet and Clank - also a good game on PS3 but I find the pirates a bit strange for such genres of game. The whole game and controlls feel a bit more like you are playing ratchet and clank actually.Positives: (May contain SPOILERS)+ My copy came in a bright orange case, it looks really nice and matches the game nicely!+ Much awaited release, definately worth buying. I thought it would just dissappear when Naughty Dog started working on Uncharted.+ They have adjusted the faces of some of the characters - to make them look older?, actually very well done!+ You can still slow down time and perform other eco functions but they arent Light eco for some reason they are split into red, green, blue, yellow. (Dark and Light seem to be converted)+ The characters DO have the ORIGINAL voices!+ Decent sequel, the storyline suits and hopefully they will release at least one more (taking into account the negatives above). As long as the license doesnt get handed around and the brand cheapened like what happened to Crash Bandicoot (Tragedy in my opinion).+ !!! Too many games of this genre are being 'dummed down' and redesigned and made easier for a younger audience, this is silly because the developers lose a large amount of their audience. This one is still going strong. I strongly recommend you buy it, its still good, I wouldnt have given it as many stars otherwise!+ Similar feel to the first Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - if you liked that one, you should like this one. Thanks for reading, I hope you find this useful.(If you get the game and want to play on a 16:9 or 15:9 TV, the first thing you do is want to change the video setting in the options, the picture looks much clearer)---'High Impact Games' seems to be a company with good potential, if they went a bit more up-market and were able to take on more developers and designers... they could really reach a much higher quality. I'd like to see them make a new Crash Bandicoot game based on the older ones for the PS1, they could bring it back! Shame they don't have the license.

For young and old alike, the Jak and Daxter games are the best I have come across. It's a pity that the new breed of games don't come close to these old gems.

Fantastic, classic game, suitable for a wide age range. This is not an easy game to come by and I was delighted to get it at such a reasonable price.
