As i said, this game is fantastic and well worth buying but it quite a bit easier than Jak II. Which is sort of a relief after pressing retry about 1000 times, but also a bit of a dissapointment. I found Jak II hard wth a strategy guide it took me a long time. With Jak III i don't have a strtegt guide, and well, the percentage seems to be going up rather quickly.I thinjk one of the most fantastic things about this series is no loading times. You really appreciate it after playing games with long waits and i think this makes it a lot more enjoyable. The storyline is fantastic as usual, and keeps you wanting to play on just to find out what happens next.I thought the wasteland and spargus was a fresh new idea that has made the Jak series so much better, and although Haven cty is fun with all the metal heads, i love the missions when you get to go back to Spargus. The graphics if you know this series is fantastic, probably the best part and the character animation amazing. The game is so much bigger than Jak II, wth the whole of Haven cty, new areas in Haven city, Spargus and the massive, massive wasteland. There are bad things though. It is not as hard, although that doesn't mean the game is easy, its Jak! Some of the missions are boring and repetitive (we've seen this all before type missions) and there is too much action, too many new guns, too many guns in general and not enough platforming. A few more platforiming levels would be nice.Anotherr great idea for Jak III i thought would be for Jak to 'lose' or not have his gun for 10 missions or so. This would let people see the moves of Jak that we had such a long time ago (first in the series) that made it so great. As you can probably see from this revgiew, the goods outweigh the cons and with it going PLATINUM 10th June this cannot be missed. Just remember to buy a PSP and play the spin off 'Daxter' when it comes out. Long live Jak (and Daxter!)

3 years ago, we were introduced to a bloke named Jak and a ugly dude named Daxter, i played Jak and Daxter: the precursor legacy and to be honest, i found it a bit of an eye opener as to how boring certain games are!then Jak 2 came out, i played and completed the game, i was amazed, what an improvement from the previous snoze fest! Then the ultimate conclusion sequel hit the shelves, Jak 3.Banished to the wasteland for crimes against the people of haven city (currently under attack by enemy forces.) Jak stumbles onto the lost city of Spargus, Jak and Daxter uncover a fiendish plot to desroy the world. You might think, "What a scam!" but play the game, then just see if you can say it again. This game boasts an all new vehicle concept as a wastelander named Kleiver allows you to use some of special, extremly well armed desert terrain vehicles. Not only do you get the 4 old weapons from the previous game, but you can aquire monsterous upgraded versions of them. Example... peace maker, Mass inverter and the Super nova! You can get up to 12 weapons in the game. Not to mention your biggest weapon, yourself. Those who played Jak 2 will know that Jak has an evil companion, named DARK JAK! As you play as dark Jak, you can use 4 different powers with him, they are: The dark bomb, the spin shock, invisability and the dark pummel! Also, slow down time, replenish healh, form energy sheilds and even fly! Simply by playing as the all new light Jak! If you complete the game, don't think it's all over. Embark on a new quest by playing hero mode. Hero mode allows you to play a harder version of the game from the start while keeping all of your weapons and armour upgrades! Thats my view, whats yours!?

jak 3 carry's on after the game jak 2 renegade.although it is the last one in the trilogy it is not the best mainly because it is quite a short game seeing as i have only rented the gamer and am not that good at games i got up to 52 percent in one day altough jak 3 is still a good game.any way in jak 2 you were in haven city this time you are in the waste land though it is not that great but the dune buggys are good! you soon return to haven city and start off in that stadium area where there is the door to the palace elavator and god has it changed! it is all run down and that but any way you soon get to the port area and it is the only place where all the people in haven city are it has notchanged that much but you find out tha erol the crazy driver guy is still alive and he is part robot and there is also this evil guy calles count veger and you find out that sig lived in this city called spargus where you start off in the game and he was there spy for haven city any way the grassy area wich leads you to the forest through that door has changed in to a swamp nest for the metal heads and htere is this new enemy called the kg robots and erol who is part robot leads them you also play as light jak and you can slow down time and make a shield i have lots more to say but i will finish it here hope this review was helpful.

Jak and daxter strarted back in 2000. The gameplay was reminiscent of crash bandicoot- innocent fun. How that has changed...Jak 2 was brilliant. It was a work of pure brilliance, it enhanced everything from jak and daxter and ditched the annoying bits. So, what of the new installment? Well, consider it a jak 3 extension- despite all its efforts to be a stand alone different title-the new sandy enviroments, haven city destroyed, all new racing sections it still retains the same feel as the last game, However, that is no bad thing. The gameplay has been notibly sharpened, packing even more variety into an already bursting disc.Another note to add is that the gameplay is significantly easier than jak 2- a great thing for some- but i found that jak 3 is a bit easy, but its still as rewarding as the previous offers. Everything in the series feels remarkably 'there' and the storyline is tied up very nicely at the end, with a few surprises.Jak 3 is a worthy purchase to any fan of the other two games-i am a huge fan of all of the jak games and i was pleased with this game all the way through. Jak 3 is not a stunning game- it does however succeed in offering more of the same, which is pretty god-damn good.Better than- jak and daxterWorse than - jak 2

Jak and Daxter 1 was fun. A simple, good looking, quality platform game.Jak II: Renegade was brilliant, a huge step up from the original outingand one of the very best games on PS2, taking numerous leads from GTA 3.Now we have Jak III. Imagine the same giant sized leap between the firsttwo games and you'll soon begin to realise this games quality. At thestart of the game Jak is arrested again and thrown in a whole new set ofenivironments including a desert. Just as long as there's no more frikkin'sewer levels, then that's okay with me. Details on the games story aresparse at the moment but we will be seeing the return of Jak, Daxter,Samos, Kiera, Torn, Ashelin and many other familiar faces. With NaughtyDog's incredible creative pedigree, we are surely once again going to seethe most wonderful platformer on PS2. Will this be the game when Daxterfinally returns to human form? If those words mean nothing to you, then goget the previous two games, before counting down the days until Jak III'srelease. If you are giddy with excitement wondering whether the answer tothat question is "yes" then you surely have already ordered yourselfanother slice of pure hapiness on a disc.

The storyline is that Jak and daxter get chucked out of Haven City by Count Veger because of Jak's violent ways when he turns to dark Jak. They are found in the wastelands by Damus, the king of Spargus city.In Spargus city live 'the forgotten ones' who each owe a life dept to the city. When jak gets there he must complete a seris of challenges to be accepted into their society. In jak3 there are more guns and each gun has at least 3 advancements. In Spargus City they ride dune buggies instead of hover-cars. You will play as Daxter a lot more than on Jak2 and it is rumoured that Daxter will return to his human form at the end of the game.Jak will be able to turn into light Jak which is like a blue angel like thing but it will help you defeat metal heads it will help you fly to high places. Incase you're wondering metal heads are wierd monsters that roam the wastelands which is where Spargus city is. Overall it looks a great game for returning Jak fans or for newcomers to the Jak seris, so start counting down the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we are again... back with Jak and the ever flamboyant Daxter on another platform-jumping, monster-shooting, swinging adventure. As Jak gets labeled a disturber of the peace he gets exiled to the desert, this is where the fun begins... you get to kick metal heads in the... er... head and then run 'em over with a big lawn-mower with lazers. Drive vehicle; shoot beams from you blaster as big as a 'Father-Son Kame Hame Ha'; update your weapons and generally smash enemies into submisson. But, oh no, thats not it... you have to find even more Precursor Orbs and complete special 'tasks'...I bet your now wondering "In which case, why the hell hasnt this guy given it five stars?"Well, there is one slight criticism; the game sometimes comes across as easy. This may be true at times, but, dont let it put you off. Whether your a fan of the Jak trilogy or you just love to get in a massive tank with an onboard turret and slam into enemies at high speeds, you'll love Jak 3... It even has good replay value!A certain hit that players will love.

If you're looking for an outright fun and enjoyable game, then Jak 3 is the one for you. Its even better than the second one. More guns, amazing vehicles, great gameplay and a fab storyline all makes this game one of the best platforms ever!! The only thing that surprised me, is that it is not as long as the second one, though it still took me a while to finish it. This should be on everyone's christmas list!! 5 Star, 10/10!

30.3.2005

This is a very good game however althought they have tried changing it from the 2nd it is not really much different and it is a very short game. I completed it in just over a week. But if you found the second one very good like me i would recomened you buy this because the gameplay and graphics are brilliant. The new wepons and buggies are also good. If you do not have the second one i would recomend buying that first.

14.12.2004

This is a fantastic game witch beets both 1 and 2the dune buggies a brilliant and the verietys r great (heat seker sucks)however with ten hours gameplay u feel like ur getting slightly short changedThe weapons r fantastic if unoriginal and the cut sceans still have that way of combining fantastic humour and still keeping the darker aspects of the plot intactNaughty dog uve done it again GREAT.

5.12.2004

Jak 3 is here!! This is the best of the three. Great vehicles, great guns, excellent gameplay and fantastic cut-scenes all make this game a massive hit!! The only down side of the game though, is the length. It is shorter than the second one, though it still took me a while to complete. This should definitely be on everybody's christmas list!! 5 star, 10/10

It is Nothing like the other two, with new characters and some old faces. There are new settings but there is still haven city.
