I'm a 6'1" tall male, just under 14 stone with a 43" chest and fairly broad shoulders. I ordered both a Medium and a Large as Parkas by other brands tend to come up really big and bulky and I wanted a slimmer fit. I initially opted for the Medium and packed the large up for return. But wearing the medium around the house for a few minutes at a time over a couple of hours I started to suspect it was a bit tight. Particularly under the arms, over the chest and with the hood up it pulled ever so slightly on the top of my head. Considering Jack Wolfskin recommend tumble drying there was no room for even the slightest tightening up when washing.So I tried the Large again.

Was looking for a new winter coat and spent some time looking at a number of different Parka style coats both online and in the shops. After a lot of shopping around I opted for this Jack Wolfskin Glacier Canyon Parka and haven't been disappointed with my purchase.This coat is incredibly warm without being overly bulky or making you feel like you're wearing several duvets. Its waterproof, windproof and it has a good array of useful pockets (including a rubber grommet on one of the inside pockets to feed a headphone cable through - while keeping your phone/mp3 player dry). The hood is detachable (if preferred)

This is the first Jack Wolfskin garment I've ever purchased and I'm very impressed with the design (German) and quality of manufacture. I hope they paid the Bangladeshi workers who made It a fair wage. The coat has a real quality feel and is very warm without being bulky. I used another site for a fitting guide and would recommend the Large for anyone with a chest of 42 - 44. The coat is ideal for cold weather hill walking, as it is not to heavy, and watching sport in draughty stands. This supplier was both cheap (£155 less than the shop price) and remarkably quick - I ordered it on Saturday night and it arrived on Monday morning! I am delighted with this product.

Talk about doing what it says on the tin! Chasing the Northern Lights I was stood in Kirkenes, Norway; in a breeze, midday temperature a lovely -22 degrees C. Coupled with a pair of Berghaus waterproof trousers over Craghoppers Winter-lined trousers, waterproof beanie, merino glove-liners under Alpine (Milllets) ski-gloves, a pair of Salomon walking boots with lambswool insoles finished off with merino knee-socks. Far too warm (should have taken off the two merino 200 denier base tops and my undies ;-)). This coat is for serious winter seekers, anything less than that it is just too toasty. And it is waterproof too.

Got this jacket to deal with cold, wet and windy conditions. Very pleased with it because it has been very cosy. The sleeves were slightly long but this works for me because it allows the sleeve to easily come over and help keep gloves dry. The hood is very large and to prevent it being blown back by strong wind you will likely need to ear a hat such as a thick beanie plus reduce the volume by pulling drawstring and also pull in the rim drawstring. The rim drawstring is tucked away and it would be easy to miss that there IS a drawstring. No real minus points but I would have liked a large internal map size pocket.

The Parka is warm and duly protects very well against the elements. I bought the "L" and am 5 foot 11 inches tall and of slim build - accordingly, whilst the length is fine, I had to have both the sleeves and the hood reduced slightly by my tailor. Lastly, i purchased the Red Laqueur colour, which is spectacular looking and was on offer price, I suspect due to not being a colour of choice for most males Ha Ha!Overall, I recommend on the basis of high quality and performance :)

Warm and water proof. Getting very warm when walking but perfect for the extra time everyone is spending outside in 2020. Even with a single layer under its fine when out for early morning walks.The green colour is quite muted which is nice. Could've done with extra inside pockets or at least a deeper zipped pocket but the one is ok for a phone.

Nice parka just strange the tags come un-attached from the garment but it seemed genuine and it looks great but unfortunately had to return a XXXL because it's too tight for my belly. Usually 3XL would fit but not this time. Won't give it 5 stars because of the tags being detached which according to another reviewer has happened before

Great waterproof coat that oozes quality. Good length and really warm.I'm usually a small but got the medium just in case I ever wanted to wear something thicker underneath.I would definitely recommend this coat, it is a great investment that should last a couple of decades.

Snug, very warm, waterproof, winter coat.Tight fit around arm pits, as most wintercoats seem to be, but fits fine elsewhere.Hood and fur trim removable so many options, looks very smart and plenty of storage pockets.I am a 38/40 inch chest, 5’9” tall, and chose the medium

What a great warm and fitting jacket, 4 large pockets and pocket in side the coat for all your personal bits.Shower and wind proof and the jacket looks very smart, loved it so much brought the same coat in the Redwood colour, which also looks fantastic.Highly recommended.

Initially ordered LG but was too baggy & sleeves were much too long.Very easy to swap and change to a medium.Jacket itself is very comfortable, rain proof and very warm.Price was great as well, £50 cheaper than anywhere else I could find at time.

This a very well made Parka. It is very very warm. In fact I would say too warm for most days now given how are winter has become. But you never now there could be a vicious cold snap around the corner and I will be glad for this garment.

Zipping up to the neck is tight, but you'll never need to do so as you'll want some cold coming in to combat the intense heat that's all reflected back from your body. Very warm, very comfy, just don't cycle in it.

Great, sturdy coat and delivered very quickly. I bought this for the coming winter so haven't tried it out in any adverse weather but the fit is great and it looks good too. Fingers crossed it does the job ?
