Needed to repair a cracked granite sink which had completely split in 2 in the middle. After doing some research I settled on buying this JB Weld marine epoxy. Super easy to mix and apply, it is a dark grey/graphite colour when mixed at the recommended ratio. As this is not a fast setting epoxy, after application, I just joined the 2 pieces together and left it alone on the floor. I tested it about 12hrs later and it was set however I left it for a full day before handling it. Given the weight of the granite sink this has extremely strong adhesion - the drainer section which had cracked off was able to suspend mid air with no issues when I placed the sink up right on the floor.I installed the sink a couple of weeks later so it got some additional cure time though not required. Very happy as I was able to fix the sink for less than £6 rather than buying a new one! I would recommend taping and wiping off any smears/excess asap which I sadly didn't do. It's hard remove once it is set and I was unable to remove the smears I made as shown in the photos.

Used this to repair a crack around the drain hole in a shower tray, went on lovely, dried lovely, seems like no issues after a couple months using it, I did however go way beyond just this epoxy, it appears to have done the job I asked of it however, so no complaints and no leaks.(I made the repair with the epoxy on the crack around the drain hole, the got some thin modellers plastic sheet, cut a circle, put bathroom silicone down on top of the epoxy after it had dried, then put the clear plastic circle on top to strengthen and double seal the leak, then siliconed around the plastic circle to finish, this should prevent the epoxy seal cracking if someone stands on the edge of drain hole post repair)

This stuff is quite remarkable.I dropped my almost new hoze pipe spray gun and snapped the end clean off. When I ordered this stuff I thought there's no chance its working but I'll give it a go.So, I stuck the two bits together and left it 24 hours. I then added a slightly thicker layer around the join and left that for another 24 hours. I then sanded it back enough for the gun to fit the connector. All looking good but does it work? It certainly does! Slotted the connector home and turned the tap on. We have very high water pressure. Not a single leak. I'm confident that the repaired part of the fun is now stronger than when it left the factory.Highly recommended.

i used product to mend my 2no hinges on my laptop / also / i have an old HALO cooker / still working fine / but the plastic see through bowl cover was all cracked / almost falling to bits / could not find a replacementso i cleaned cracks with household degreaser spray / light sanding / and used epoxy inside and out on all cracks / VERY strong bond / this was 6mths ago and no probs yetproduct has a reasonable working time when mixed and can be moulded / so you dont have to rush like with super glue / does what it says on the tin as they say / EXCELLENT product / goes a long way / loads left in tubes / please be careful where it touches you cannot clean it off

Hardening time was somehow much longer than expected, but so far it does its job in repairing the oil tank leakage on the sea boat. The procedure was to first create the under-pressure by vacuuming from the oil tube, scrub, sand and degrease, then apply the J-B Steel Stik on the degreased surface, then glue a metal patch (made out of a coke can) with J-B Marine Weld Epoxy onto the area, and smear the Epoxy all over the patch and surrounding area. The procedure can be found on YouTube. So far it holds as new, but needs to be seen over a year or so due to the salty environment (both water and air).

If you need to stick two things together, and you've found PVA/Epoxy/Superglue aren't strong enough, then this is worth a shot.I used it to glue the legs of a desk back together, and it seems to have worked very well. Takes a good 12+ hours to dry, but holds very tight when it has set. Far more convincing than Gorilla glue. It's designed for sticking bits onto ships, so it's fair to say that it's pretty strong. Thankfully it's also easy to apply and not too expensive. Two-part epoxy glues are meant to be strong, but I find they often fail for domestic jobs. This stuff is the way forward.

Very good product if used correctly, this sets slow and needs to be used in room temperature. It's not an alternative for welding so if you have something that will be stressed best to get it welded.I used it on an aluminium gearbox housing, housing was cracked and one of the mounting ears was broken. It stopped the leak from the crack but had no chance holding the mounting ear I then had to remove the box and get it welded. So it's really a good temporary repair may last longer but definitely not on something that will be stressed.

This is a product that does just what it says on the tin. I tried 3 different 'glues' to make the flotation chambers on my submarine watertight but to no avail, until................J.B.Marine weld. My submarine now has perfect neutral bouyancy and i can photograph critters on the dock walls YIPPEE.P.S.Don't use it in the kitchen or anywhere that your partner can see, it is grey, runny and completely impossible to get off, worktops, t-shirt, lino, spoons etc :-) you have been warned.

Used to repair the suction drum of a dyson rotating head .Very easy to use. Mixed at 1:1 ratio and applied to plastic parts that need to be stuck together.I placed a a small stone on the glued together plastic ( to add small preasure). And left to cure for 5 hours .The plastic is now stronger than the originally made to. Perfect .Please do be aware this dries to be a dark grey resin. ( wasnt a problem for me the as part I was fixing was hidden )Would definitely use again.

I like the fact that the two components are dark grey and white.. this makes mixing thoroughly easy as you can see any bits that aren't mixed. I used this to fill holes in wood so I could drill and fit a screw right next to the previous holes without the drill or screws wandering into the old hole.Perfect. This stuff takes over an hour to cure, but when it does it sets like steel. My door is now hung nice and securely.Would buy again and would certainly recommend it to others.

Fixes well, BUT takes an age to set (4-6 hours to hold and 12 plus to fully go off), so need to be able to fix the parts in the right place for that duration, it’s not your quick set epoxy you can often hold in place until it initially sets. Not for quick repairs / use, but does seem to make a very good bond. Colour is a dark grey (resin black, hardener white). It would be nice if these came in a small box to keep together rather than a blister pack which you throw away.

I use this mix for small, domestic, D.I.Y fixes and fillings and the thing is that it's not shy of water when it has cured to it's fully hardened state. I particularly approve of the fact that the resin and hardener are distinctly different colours - that way you can see that you have equal quantities before mixing them together to a uniform grey. Having old style separate tubes instead of those duo-squeeze-plunger type things is a big bonus in my experience too.Eamonn

This adhesive is fantastic. You can literally glue anything together with this and achieve a very firm hold. The only reason why I have knocked off a star is because I would have preferred for it to have dried clear as opposed to grey. In addition, it would have been nice if it bonded quicker. However, this is me just being picky to be honest because these details were specified and don't change the fact that the product actually works and is amazing!

Great product for repairing my corroded boat engine thermostat housing. It is the same consistency as toothpaste so I created a plastic mould or wall taped to the outside. I then layered the JB Weld on , allowing each layer to set first. Cast iron slowed the set so I popped it anti a radiator to help things along. It wets the surface well and is sticky so wear gloves to apply. It sands and paints well. A great product to have in stock.

Stuck well . I used it the stick strips of bird spikes to my ali greenhouse ridge. It had enough tackiness to just lie it down on the ridge. But by god does it set quick 30 secs in sunshine and the mix went lumpy in my mixing plate and rock hard in 2 mins . So only mix what you needI couldnt work out the syringe nozzle break off i think i should have cut the nozzle tips off not further down as the cap didnt fit. - my fault
