You get a good selection of soldiers using rifles and machine-guns plus one throwing a hand grenade. There is a man firing a heavy machine-gun mounted on a bipod on a crate. This last piece looks farcically hazardous, and is made to look more inexplicable by the nonappearance of one side of the crate. The man loading a mortar, like the others, the figure comes without a base but moulded as one with the weapon. This means the mortar has no support and the whole piece is wobbly. The inclusion of a radio operator is a nice idea.The uniform of the men is very smart, and dates them to the first half of the war. By the later stages the men looked a lot ragtag,

Italeri figures are always well detailed, but the incredibly thick stands on the figures seem completely over the top, and look rathre strange, nice realistic figures otherwise..
