I can't believe all the negative reviews of this kit.People say the plastic is thin and flimsy but Italeri kits are known for using thinner plastic in their kits, there's nothing wrong with that.Yes its a little more delicate but looks a lot better than kits made with overly thick plastic which makes them look like cheapo toys.I've had a look over the kit when it arrived and I'm pleasantly surprised after the crappy reviews.All I can say is the ones complaining must be noob model makers as the kit actually looks great to me, yes there are small delicate parts and lots of 'em but if you're careful when cutting them from the sprues you should be fine, I think some people still wiggle the parts off like when they were kids.Use the correct side cutters!Back to the kit itself.It's a physically large kit, larger than I expected for 1/48th scale.There are also a lot of smaller pieces, so its not recommended for beginners or maybe even some intermediate model makers due to the delicate plastic.There are 3 large sprues and 1 smaller sprue, plus the clear conopy sprue.It has fine recessed panel lines all round.Not much else to say about it really, other than I'm actually impressed with it, as I've had a lot worse for £22 quid.So if you can't or won't afford the prices of an F-35A, B or C kit then this would be the nearest thing, and its cheap for the size of the finished model, so make sure you've got room room for it, I was surprised by the size as it looks larger then an F-35 kit in the same scale.I might even get another one for the stash cupboard if they stay this price as there are three versions to make, although they all have the same paint schemes but different units.Nearly forgot about decals, they actually look great, not printed by Cartograph but look really good and in register and nice and matt.If you've made Italeri kits before, you know what to expect.Italeri can be a bit hit and miss but this is a hit to me.
