I bought this for my 7 year old daughter and wanted to go for a stunt kite to provide her with a bit more of a challenge instead of a single line, rigid kite. Out of the 3 available sizes, I was definitely right to go for the 1.3m. In moderate wind, it did pull my daughter around a little bit but she seemed to get the hang of it relatively quickly. The material seems very robut and withstood a few heavy crashes on the sand and stones with no visible damage. I did need to assist her a few times to get it detangled and flying again after it ended up in a crumpled mess after a few heavy impacts. The kite is relatively straight forward to prep and get going. One thing I would note,is that multiple bridles attached to the kite can become entangled quickly if you're not careful when the main chords are detached and you're trying to pack it away. Then it's a real headache detangling it. The simple solution I've found is as soon as I detach the 2 main lines with the strap handles, I tie the other 2 loose ends which branch into multiple bridles together with a simple reef knot. This potentially saves a lot of hassle if it's left flapping around in a breeze under no control for a few seconds without the main lines attached or when I come to unpack it again.

I grew up flying stunt kites and I wanted to introduce my 12 and 14 year old to it. This was easy to get ready to fly and it was in the air within 5 mins. It has no hard pieces to break, it took a couple of hard landings with ease, whilst the kids got the hang of how to use the 2 lines. It is well made, you can feel the quality of the materials used, I was so impressed I purchased a 2nd one (larger size1.8m) which handles lighter winds better but my 12yo found it at the limit of his strength in stronger winds. I think I'll buy a 3rd at the largest size for myself. If there is one thing I would improve is the length of the strings. Whilst 25m is sufficient,a bit more height would give you more time to recover the kite whilst learning how to perform various manoeuvres.Certainly no regrets with this product/brand.

Wow how easy is can they make this kite to set up !. All I had to do was attach the main flight strings via a larch knot (a simple loop) and then send it up. Packs down the same way, back into the handy bag it came in. The kite will be easy to store answer in the bot with out taking up much more space than a very small fold up kite would do.Brought for my daughters birthday. She is a small 8yo and flew this with no hassles at all. The day we tested was a 7-8mph wind and she kept control at all times.Would I recommend this ? Yes without any shadow of a doubt for a kid, for an adult it's still loads of fun but a larger kite would naturally give you a bit more of a fight. For the cost it is,just buy one to keep in your boot, the first time you use it you won't regret it.

Once you've separated the two strings from the holder, this is easy to fly, with enough challenge to keep the interest going for a long time. A 10 Year old got the hang of it quickly and was able to keep it in the air, swirl around etc. It took her two or three sessions to master loop-the-loops, with the added challenge of looping the same number of times in each direction to straighten the string. It would take several more sessions for it to be really controlled though. An 8 yr old was also able to keep it in the air and have fun, while the 6 yr old struggled and didn't have the patience to learn the technique.Simple and light, with no poles to break and not painful in collisions (unless you accidentally scoop up a stone from the beach into one of the compartments)

Awesome product! Easy to fly even my 6 yr old daughter could control it and make it dance (her words). The instructions are so easy and straight forward to follow and the kite was extremely well made for the price. We paid £20 for ours not from Amazon but after some hard landings there were no rips or tearing that's why I decided to put a review on Amazon. The picture I have put up is my daughter flying it in a light sea breeze that's why I was confident to let her have her own space. When making it dive bomb it the power of the kite can want to pull you slightly so I wouldn't let her fly it in stronger winds. It comes with its own neat little bag and packs away neat and tidy so it is left in the car boot so we always have it when we are out and about.

Easy to set up and flies really well in a variety of winds. I have used this in very light winds when other kites will not fly, and enjoyed the speed and power on stronger wind days.Handles well and is capable of high speed and some quite impressive tricks whilst also having fine control. The lack of bars and struts means that it is very forgiving should you crash it which makes it ideal for beginners. My one and only complaint is that I bought one of these some years ago and it came in a very handy bum bag which allowed easy carrying of the kite whilst en-route to the flying area, and stowage of the line winders whilst actually flying the kite. This kite comes in a semi rigid pouch with a loop - much less practical.

Cracking kite. Bought for the other half to try as she'd never flown a dual string kite before. Had it on the beach today and was great fun. I was so impressed I've just got back to a mobile signal and ordered a 2.2m one for myself.Low wind this morning, and yes it needed a bit of work to get it up into slightly faster wind higher up (plenty of double arm pumping) it was stable and easy to manoeuvre and she'd picked up the basics in no time at all. Higher winds this afternoon and it just jumped into the air like a scalded cat. Great first kite for anyone (kids etc.) The pull isn't enough to unbalance anyone, but enough that you can feel what's happening at the other end of the lines.

I don't often leave reviews, but having spent some time reading others when trying to find a kite for my son, I know how helpful it can be.This kite is awesome! My 10 year old son has learnt to fly it very quickly and can do all sorts of crazy tricks. They have already had so much fun with this, it is the best present we have bought in ages. The kite is simple and easy to use and seems to be very robust, having already sustained many crashes to the ground. It flies best in a good breeze and looks beautiful too.You need quite a big space to fly it in, as the strings are long. Big fields and empty beaches are ideal. Can't recommend this highly enough!

Bought this for my 5 year old son, it is his first kite. Initial unboxing it comes in a nice pouch (and fits back into the pouch easily after use). The string lines need joining to the kite but this is very easy, the lines are 25m long which is plenty for a childs kite.First day the wind was gusty rather than consistent which meant flights were short but it my son worked out very quickly how to steer the kite a little this way and that, it's probably meant for slightly older kids but he's enjoying it.Several rough landings and no signs of damage, we are pleased with the kite and waiting for the next windy day.

Bought this kite for me and my son 12 yrs as we have progressed from single line to double line kites and wanted something a bit different.it is an excellent kite, needs a good stiff wind to stay up but as we live by the sea we have a guaranteed inshore breeze. It allows you to do a lot of stunts and has quite a pull when in full flight. it is not 1.3m wide but as it is great I'm not bothered. We attached a tail from another kite which looks stunning, we do attract a lot of attention when out flying. excellent value for money and would make a super gift to get someone outside.

I am no way a kite flyer but needed to entertain a 10 year old .Can't believe this kite for the money .Ok so you need to tie the strings onto the kite.Once done with the right wind . Tip .make sure the the wind is blowing onto your back all the time . Was easy to launch and after a few crashes a 10 year old got the hang of it .Gentle tugs on the str8ng the direction you wish the kite to goTrouble was every day I now get can we fly the kite !!Tough kite with the amount of crashes it had and still in good nick .Now keep it in the car .Thumbs up from me

Can't ask for more for £20. Fantastic kite- good quality ripstop. As others have mentioned it really needs a helper as the lines are quite long and it was hard to self launch. It did pop up a few times by itself with a little run a couple of times. This thing really flies well! It also has decent pull and turns like an angry wasp! Buzzing it across the window is great fun! The rainbow colour scheme works really well if you attach the red handle to the red side of the kite- when the lines cross you can right it as long as you pull the correct side.

Took this kite out on the day it arrived, and wow! It's great. It's flies brilliantly, very easy to handle, you're doing tricks very quickly and the power is incredible, compared to a kid's kite at least! My kids both had a go too, 7 year old could fly it very easily, 5 year old needed help because of the power of it. It's called a beach kite, as Londoners, there aren't many beaches and it flies just as well on a National Trust field! Was worried that beach meant that it needed even wind buy it's happy with nearby trees disrupting the wind flow.

Great fun for older kids and adults. I've tried flying this with my eldest who is 4. He needed a lot of help, so was probably a bit young for it really. It is a two-line kite, so no direct power control (but you wouldn't expect that at this price). It is very responsive and requires a fair amount of concentration to fly in very windy conditions. Seems to be very well made and has withstood a number of crashes without damage. We keep it in the boot of the car so it is always on-hand for days out. I'd definitely recommend it.
