Never usually write reviews, but quarantine has me bored. Overall, really happy with the Band 4 Pro and at ~£50, it's a bargain. I'm not sure what features all the other £300 watches have that this one doesn't.Despite what a lot of people are saying on here, it does work perfectly fine on Android once you download the apps needed to run it directly from the Huawei site - as they are no longer supported on the Google PlayStore. So yeah, it's awkward enough for about 5 mins but one they're installed it works perfectly fine, as advertised.Pros:- Works great once you've got the App up and running.- I read that the international/UK version doesnt come with the SpO2 tracker...Mine does so there you go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯- GPS looks accurate to me on the few runs I did.- Lots of functionality on the app phone itself - different sports, modes, stopwatches, etc and super easy to use. Not sure how people struggle with the user interface in some other reviews.- There's a super useful "find my phone" feature that basically blares out a notification from your phone, regardless of whether or not the phone is on silent - super handy feature.- Comfortable and discrete to wear.- Screen is super bright and easy to read, even in direct sunshine.Cons:- Let down by being seemingly restricted to the Huawei app and not being able to link it to things like Strava.- As well as not being able to link with Strava, I also can't seem to get elevation/altitude data from it which is annoying if you want to practice hill running or hill sprints.- I managed to link it to Google Fit (which I don't even use, don't know why I bothered)- The Huawei app seems to be badly counting my steps, possibly from both the watch and the phone. Which is annoying. The number of the watch should be gospel since it's strapped to me.- I'm dubious over the battery life a accuracies. I've got all the bells and whistles on 24/7 tracking and seem to get maybe 3ish days out of it versus the advertised 5 days at these settings. Going on a 5k run with GPS took 10% of my battery in under 30mins. 3 days is sufficient for me, but I find myself charging it on day 3 as I don't want it dying or needing charging overnight.

I sent back another activity tracker and got this one instead because I wanted one with a built in GPS. I preferred the strap on the cheaper tracker that I purchased as it was smoother and more of a "matte" feeling (if that makes sense lol) and this one is a slightly different type of plastic strap which isn't quite as comfortable. The other slightly annoying feature is the integration with Google Fit. I want the integration to then upload my workouts to Strava but the integration seems to be quite poor with Google Fit. It creates loads of individual records for steps and such, it's very strange. I probably need to test it a bit more but I went for a run on Saturday after getting the watch on Friday and twisted my knee,so testing will now have to wait!Good features are the multiple workout types, I used the free training for an at home workout and for playing some badminton in the garden. I like how the watch lets you know when you're at certain points in your workout with regards to your overall "goal" if you set one, or you can have an open goal and just track your time/calories/heart rate on the screen. The results from your workout are uploaded to the Huawei Health app ( I have an Honor phone, so this app was already installed for me) and the analytics are pretty cool. I really like the rating it gives your workout to say how much effort the workout was for you and how long you spent in each heart rate range. I really like this and think this is a great feature, especially if you're trying to increase your fitness level! Overall, for the price, this is a great option for an activity tracker which is not a full blown smart watch (which I personally didn't want). Would recommend!

Purchased this watch after my extremely cheap watch gave up and wouldn't hold any charge. I wanted a decent watch that would help keep me motivated in my weight loss journey.Comes in a nice box, along with a USB charger and instructions. It does come with a good portion of charge but I charged it fully before first use.Set up is really where this watch lets itself down. If you do not own a Huawei phone, it tells you to download the Huawei health app from the play store. I did that but kept getting a message that I needed to download the AppGallery to use the app. I did this as well, however still got the error message. I then had to search for AppGallery update, which took me to the Huawei website, and I had to download the update from there. I dont mind downloading more than 1 app, however it was the lack of information and having to search to get it to work. I would say it is the only negative I have about the watch.Once set up and working, I was able to change the watch face to a cute little dino character, there are a huge range of difference faces to choose from. I was easily able to set up my height, weight etc, along with notifications from my phone. The watch itself is comfy to wear, and doesn't have that yucky feeling when you sweat.I like the fact it has the spO2 monitor- it's interesting to see.The pedometer seems to be accurate to what I am actually doing- which is great as I am able to track my target daily, without panicking whether I am actually doing it or not.It also has heart rate monitor and also sleep monitor. For the price of the watch, I am really pleased with what I got. If you can get over the whole initial set up, it is a great watch.

Present for my Mum as she’s trying to lose weight/get fit and wanted a budget fitness tracker. Sceptical to buy this because of some reviews stating issues of connection/bad app/inaccurate, but risked it as majority are good reviews and I’m very glad I did! She’s had the watch 2 weeks now and it’s been excellent for what she’s needed (track walks/bike rides and sleep/calories/heart rate). To track bike rides you need to take your phone to track (but that’s the same with a Fitbit). Compared it to my Fitbit and pretty much the same accuracy if not only slightly different tracking distance (not major at all) - wished I’d gone for this instead of expensive tracker!Very easy to set up.Watch requested update once fully charged and paired with phone app - no issues and fairly quick. No problems downloading/connecting/using the app on iPhone 7.All tracking very accurate and impressed with “find my phone” function too. Sleep tracker is very accurate as she checked the time when she woke up during the night and it was identical to the app analysis in the morning. Battery life is great, lasts a week or so with basic use everyday and charges very quickly - love that there are no extra cables and it just charges through a usb plug like most smartphones! If there was anything at all to niggle about it would be the screen size is a little on the small side but definitely nothing to complain about for the price!Overall very pleased with this tracker and already recommended to a lot of friends. A great start up basic tracker for beginner/moderate daily exercise at an amazing price!

I've had this for about a week. I bought it to replace my amazfit bip for my workouts. I got fed up with the bip saying after 4 hours in the gym I'd burnt 29cals! This Huawei band 4 is far more accurate. There is no free training option on the bip so the closest one was treadmill. But the free training{measuring heart rate}, gives far more useful feedback on the band 4.It's very minimal as a fitness tracker usually is. I quite like a bigger smartwatch but I've become attached to the minimal look as well now.The strap is sturdy and I would say better than the bip.I do miss the always on of the bip. One has to touch this device or switch it to be always on, which being a lighted screen on option will use up battery life. However, while training the device is always screen on.I don't track my sleep so I tend to switch my device off before bed.The battery life is totally acceptable with an accurate 7 days without massive heavy use. A quick charging can get back up to 100% in no time. The price is very competitive. The accompanying phone heath app is reasonable, but those looking for lots of data from it will find it a bit thin.I've taken it on a walk and it's accurate. Although I've not really over-analysed it. The bip is very good for running. But this one will be just as good. The big plus is in a gym with weights, the minimal footprint means it's unlikely it will get damaged or scratched.

I bought the pink strapped one which has a gold coloured surround. I like the fact that I don't have to pull it apart in order to charge it. This colour is fine for a woman, but might not be suitable for a man. The overall size of the watch might also not suit that many men. as it is anything but large. The strap would fit, as there are loads of settings on the strap. It looks neat, but the face is somewhat small for me. I have used the largest clock face I can find, which means that I can tell the time and date, but I cannot have a face with any other data on, as the clock numbers become too small for me then.I synced the watch (easily) with the app as soon as I received it. Since then,I have only been able to get sleep data on the app. This is more than a little disappointing. The data does come up on the watch, however.I like the fact that it does not light up when I am asleep, as that can be annoying. You have to click on the face if you need to see the time.I like the fact that I can wear it in the bath and shower.I have not yet used the GPS function, so cannot comment on that.I am satisfied with the battery power, and only need to recharge every few days, although that might change when I start to use GPS.For the price, it is a reasonable fitness watch, with decent functions, although I would like to see blood pressure. Suppose you get what you pay for.

Felt it was time I bought one of these fitness trackers and wasn't willing to spent the money a Fitbit requires - my mobile is an Honor (made by Huawei) so figured sticking to the same brand would work best.It tracks steps really well, can be good for tracking heart rate and movement in workouts, is great for keeping on top of messages/notifications and that's about it really. That's all I was looking for, and it has fulfilled those needs. The reason I only gave it four stars and not five? Well, firstly the calories burnt are highly exaggerated, so don't go thinking you've earned yourself a Dominos pizza after a run. But most importantly, the screen is super super sensitive - to a frustrating point.I discovered how sensitive when I went for a hike in poor weather and wore my sleeves down to my wrists - every time my sleeve brushed against the screen, it would cause something to happen (start a workout, open my messages, etc.) This happens whenever I brush the watch against clothing, my hands passes over it, whatever and it can get rather annoying. So long and short of it; good item that will give you the basics (step counter, workout tracker, messages/notifications and sleep tracker - which I've never used so can't comment on), however be aware of the ridiculously sensitive screen.

Very good value compared to 'established' brands.I no longer depend on Amazon's reviews so referred to Which before buying, where bands 2/3 pro both got fairly good scores. In fact, I only found this product with a specific Amazon search - the market appears to be flooded with generic products.Arrives boxed and factory sealed, very quick to get started, installing mobile software was slowest part. It's a very small (compared to others), light and sleek device, heart rate is accurate, enough different workout routines to suit most, plenty of watch faces available from mobile app (designs a bit tacky - 'less is more' maxim doesn't apply to Huawei's graphic designers!).Charge cable is ~10 centimetres long and clips onto the back of the watch.Battery claims appear to be accurate, 5 days with all features on and constant monitoring, 12 days in sporadic mode. You need to give the mobile app permission to do whatever it wants if you want to make the most of the band - because it uses the band to communicate with notifications, Spotify and more. Some settings can only applied to the band via the mobile app. I'm happy with that, Huawei is like BT in China and the app looks good, works fine and has the support of a huge company so unlikely to be suddenly discontinued.

I had the band 2 pro for 18 months or so and thought it was an excellent fitness tracker. Only things that needed improving were the screen brightness and strap (that occasionally popped undone).I skipped the band 3 pro and waited for the band 4 pro which was only released in China in December 2019 so any reviews before that date are NOT for the band 4 pro!I imported one when not officially released in the UK and UK iOS app recognised it and updated firmware fine.Works absolutely faultlessly; did a 5k run using built in GPS (no phone with me) and only used 8% battery. With everything switched on I.e. continuous heart rate tracking and detailed sleep analysis you comfortably get 3 days between charge including the 5k run! With those switched off would easily get a week between charges. The AMOLED screen is small but perfectly usable and importantly is great in sunlight. It also has a setting so doesn’t come on when you turn your wrist between certain hours (eg normal bed time) so doesn’t light up the bedroom like the 2 pro did! Also the strap is much better than the 2 pro - it looks like the same one as on the 3 pro.I got mine for under £50 which I think is a bargain and if you compare it to a Fitbit (most don’t have built in GPS) then it’s an absolute steal!

I've been using this for a few weeks now and I'm really happy with it - in the absence of the gym the heart rate monitor and exercise tracking with GPS is great and the latest update added a surprise 02 stats monitor, which seems pretty accurate. It looks pretty stylish on, also - the colour on my screen is an exact match for the real life, very pale pink and it has a slim profile. It's very comfortable to wear and I find the alerts for social media and phonecalls/texts really handy, reducing how often I check my phone (it buzzes, then shows the name and beginning of the message, or who's calling). The sleep tracker's accuracy is hard to determine but it seems pretty impressive. When I was looking into these they seem to be generally considered more accurate and reliable than Fitbits and I couldn't afford the nearly £150-odd I'd have paid to get the same level of functionality from one of those. I'm quite clumsy generally and after several weeks of 24/7 wear the screen is still pristine despite a lot of knocking around. I've worn it in the bath and in the sea. The strap is also still pristine, despite being so pale. Easy to charge and the battery lasts at least a week even with continuous monitoring enabled. Really pleased with this thing.

Bought the band for my wife and I set it up. Quite straight forward to pair to her phone and sorting out a different watch face was not an problem. Notifications, sleep tracking and steps counting works fine. Although steps on the band and the app are not the same.In one of the questions somebody asked about needing the app. You do need it but my wife rarely takes her phone with her and it still records steps etc with or without the phone. Also as my wife is long sighed, she can't read her other watches without putting her glasses on. No such problems with the large face of the band.My wife has a basis honor s7 phone. For some reason although the band is paired and connected to the phone, going to the Bluetooth settings on the phone it doesn't show. I have reset the band several times but no difference. I was going to return the band as faulty but decided the pair to my Honor 8X and it shows up on settings fine.. So, perhaps wifes phone does not like the band......?Anyhow my wife is happy and so the band is good value and highly recommended

So overall I think this is a good option. Much cheaper then your big brand alternatives in the field like Fitbit or Garmin. Certainly no issues with quality. For step counting I feel it's spot on, heart rate monitor is also good. Sleep monitoring seems to be quite accurate too albeit it's hard to know for sure because you're asleep :). It's thinner than some of the other bands I've seen and is comfortable to wear. my only gripes with this have been one time i went out on my bike, a completed a route which i know to be almost exactly 30km, as confirmed by the Garmin on my bike and my iPhone. the watch said i had ridden 14km s I'm not sure what happened there. tbh I don't really use it for that anyway so wasn't too worried. My only other issue is the limited number of options for screen display, there is only one option that displays calorie burn and that is accompanied with flowers. My son takes delight in mocking my flowery watch - again not really a big deal as it only shows when you tap it anyway.

Okay i had read the reviews but took my chance and bought this activity watch, I was also at a loss of how to pair it up because I have Samsung note 10, however many comments are saying you have to have Huawei phone, no you Don't you can use with any smart phone android, you have to download Huawei health app from your phone then it will say download Huawei mobile services, if at this point nothing is happening you must go into your settings and see app permissions you will then see Huawei ID you then have to persue an account, if I could help anyone I'd be of an assistance, alot of comments have obviously not done what you're supposed to do, this watch is Amazing!!It's very accurate as if you're not wearing the watch say on a walk if it's a bit further up your wrist it will tell you to wear it wear you will get a better reading, it does sleep music etc.... this is a must but you have to go into the settings best buy by far & glad I didn't go on the reviews

Clear colour screen, size and weight ideal for band. Battery life OK but would like it to be longer. A couple of text sizes too small, weather temp an example is minute. % of target text also too small.... This device is to be used on the move so text size matters. Icons and majority of the main text is clear and bright however, even when outdoors. Brightness of display can be adjusted in settings on the band as with some other features. Paint on the case has started to rub off at the corners a little bit, not a big issue but I've not had this band that long so a little surprised it is showing wear already. The app is good, seems more accurate than the googleapp I'm running alongside. On the whole much better than the fit bit it replaced and very good value for money. Looked at honor band 5 also, very good value for money, very similar features but requires phone connection for GPS so went with this band instead.

This watch does what it says it does and does it fantastically well. So it’s accurate, easy to use, has a really useful and clear app with a sleep breakdown and sleeping hints, good training programs etc. It syncs really well with the app on an IPhone which was a problem with a previous watch (not Huawei) that I had. It even looks feminine, elegant and sleek in gold. BUT it will not calculate how many calories you burn throughout your day save for the calories burnt while reaching your 10K steps goal and any other additional exercise you do. So you will never have a daily grand total of calories burnt, which is a pity, even if I’m often told that such a total is usually just a rough estimate.I’ve also quickly adapted to not having this feature so you might too. I’m really pleased with it, highly recommend it and think it’s great value! Battery life is decent and it charges quickly. Have bought another as a gift.
