With the higher price tag of some of the rival car holders I was a little unsure if I should go with HTCs own car dock. Amazon had some mixed reviews which put me off, but I have previously purchased a cheap car holder from my previous mobile and it broke within a couple of weeks, so I decided to take the plunge.The build quality is excellent. The phone, as you might expect, slips in without a problem. The suction mechanism is really strong, much strong than my Tom Tom suction system. It's really each to attach and detach from the windscreen, no more wrestling to get it out of the car!Unlike other reviewers I haven't experienced any issues with the car charger.

The product fits the phone very well, the charging cable snaps into place (in the cradle) so you can leave it connected all the time if you want.You also get a base that you can stick to the dashboard so the suction cup can be used, allowing you to place the cradle both on the windshield and on the dashboard.The phone automatically enters car mode when you put it in the cradle.As I said, the cradle fits the phone very well. It does not grip the phone in any way (it is extremely easy to take the phone out). This brings me to the one thing I would change: because it does not cling to the phone, you can only use it in landscape mode.

Holds the phone securely whilst charging it at the same time. Phone automatically knows it is snapped in the cradle and switches to car mode. Great for using phone as sat nav and receiving calls.

Does everything just great.I had to trim the plastic around my 3.5mm audio plug so it would fit far enough ion the phone when in the cradle. Always powers phone. Great mount. Love it!

I bought this holder as a gift for my husband and he was really pleased with it!! He had bought cheaper versions but this one fits the phone perfectly and keeps the phone steady!!

Works perfectly with my One X plus and does exactly what it says on the tin. Its slightly expensive but does feel a lot less plasticy than some of the cheaper alternatives.

well worth the money - i will have the phone for at least two years so i am glad i slashed out on something that looks like it will last - you get what you pay for

Love this product! Does everything it's meant to do perfectly. This thing has been stuck to my windscreen since I bought it in July! Hasn't moved a millimetre!

Great! Purpose built, sturdy and a fits perfectly. Arrived in good time too. Coupled with the automatic Car App in the phone it works a treat. Happy chappy.

The mounting is very secure and has a quality feel. The phone instantly goes into car app once it has been placed into the cradle very neat. Great product

Very good quality, works perfectly even on the dashboard. Very happy with it. Saved me a lot of money comparing to a custom mounted free hands.

easily and securely fitted to windscreen, the arm has a lot of scope for adjustment. The automatic enabling of car mode is seamless and useful

The cradle is easy to mount,holds the phone exceptionally well ,the docking mode is great ,a good piece of kit well worth the price .

You pay for what you get, best phone holder I have had, great quality, easy to use. Easy to assemble.Works perfectly with HTC ONE X.

Expensive but works well, slightly limited range of articulation so reflects in windcsreen from where I have it fitted on the dash.
