This review is for the HP Pavilion Gaming 200 Wired USB Gaming Mouse.I have owned many mice from wired, wireless, both inexpensive and expensive, containing different shapes, designs and purposes. For such an inexpensive mouse, I have to give HP credit for its quality and design.Upon opening the box, my first impressions of the HP Pavillion 200 Gaming Mouse was that it was lightweight, sleek, quite high profile with a nice matte shell that surprisingly isn’t a sweat magnet, is easy to grip and feels really comfortable.Originally I thought that the mouse was huge at first glance, but from further inspection it really wasn’t and was perfect for my hands (17-19cm).Having medium sized hands and my preference being a palm grip, this was fine for me as the base of the mouse covered the whole surface area of my palm.Design & Size:(If you would like to see size comparisons refer to the picture where I compare it to the other large mice that size up, both ergonomic and ambidextrous). What I found interesting at first glance was its shape. It features an ergonomic design with a high profile, well-rounded base that is higher than all of the other mice I compared in the photo, yet is surprisingly a lot more comfortable than the expensive ones. This is unusual as I usually find low profile mice more comfortable, although the shape of this mouse is what makes it comfortable. It is Intended for right-handed users, therefore lefties you are out of luck.At the left side of the mouse it contains a ridged indent which provides enough space for the thumb to rest underneath the side buttons. This is good because you won’t have your thumb constantly placed on the side buttons potentially causing miss-clicks and straining your wrist. The side buttons are also pretty close to the thumb rest, making them easy to reach. However, the right side contains a smaller indent which allows your index and pinky finger to rest comfortably. The main mouse buttons are mechanical which makes them clicky and they contain deep ridges for your first and middle finger which makes holding it comfortable.Comfortability wise, it is insanely comfortable for those with medium to larger hands. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy it was, that it made me quite disappointed that my more expensive mice weren’t.It also features several RGB illuminations and fixed colours and modes that is comparable to the light pattern of the Model O which makes it aesthetically appealing than most mice. There is no software that I could find however that can offer more customisation and the only way to change the colour is via the button. The only other drawback of this mouse is the wire. The wire is made from a noticeably cheaper rubber-plastic, is rather short compared to competition and kinks a lot.Texture:It comes in plastic-matte shell which looks premium and feels nice. If you suffer from sweaty hands but dislike glossy textures, well the matte shell seems to hold up well against sweat.DPI & Responsiveness:This mouse has 5 different DPI settings of 600-3200 which the standard entry DPI level for gaming. This makes the cursor speed enough for most type of games and they can be cycled through by clicking the DPI button. The sensor is great and its responsiveness is unhindered by the surface which makes it useful using it anywhere despite not having a mouse mat. Therefore, if you’re limited to a table somewhere you happen to lack a mouse mat but you want to game, the sensor doesn’t struggle. On the underside of the mouse it has three glossy feet and the mouse glides smoothly.Buttons and Scroll Wheel:The mechanical buttons are the most positive aspect of this mouse since they are easy to press, evenly spaced providing little travel between them and just overall very responsive. The deep ridges for your first and middle finger add to its comfortability and makes the mouse feel premium. The side buttons are made from light plastic and are very close together, which makes reaching them from thumb rest easy, preventing you from straining your wrist as you don’t need to bend your thumb much to reach each them. The scroll wheel feels good to scroll and provides a lot more grip surprisingly than other mice due to its anti-slip texture.Connectivity:The mouse is plug and play. Once it is connected, you should be able to use this mouse.Overall thoughts:This mouse really surprised me and I honestly thought judging by its design that it would be the least favourite of mine from the many mice I own.Although it was far from the case. For an inexpensive price of £25, you are getting a mouse that is very comfortable, lightweight with responsive mouse clicks and a good sensor. While it is solely based on your preferred grip and hand size, this mouse won’t disappoint you. In the photo you see, each mouse I compared is a price range of £70-£150, yet I currently use another £20 mouse as my main mouse.Which shows that sometimes simplicity is the best. Therefore, if you are looking for an inexpensive mouse but don’t want to break the bank, consider this. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been playing PC games for many years now and used a wide range of different gaming mice, this mouse from HP really surprised me. It’s quite a low-profile mouse but it has a wide body, I’ve got medium/large sized hands and its very comfortable to use, I spent a good portion yesterday playing Battlefield V and I didn’t have any issues with it. Its very lightweight and glides easily on my gaming mouse mat, I still prefer wired mice for gaming, and this helps to cut down on weight.I’m really impressed with the RGB lighting, there is a variety of colours to choose from and you can have it as a solid colour, a breathing effect, pulsing left to right or colour changing. You can also turn the lights off if you don’t want then on. The colour and effect are controlled by pressing the button on top of the mouse, there are 12 different lighting modes altogether. The buttons have a nice click to them and the travel is very minimal, the mouse wheel is great, I really like the scrolling wheel of the mouse, HP have got this pretty perfect, it rolls very easy but has just enough resistance to give you good feedback when you use it, I’ve had a lot more expensive mice in the past that haven’t got as good wheel as this one does so I’m very happy with this. Its got 5 different DPI settings going from 600 – 3200 that can be changed on the fly using the button on top of the mouse. I haven’t found any software to install like other gaming mice, I’m sure a lot of people will like this as you don’t need yet another piece of software running in the background using up resources! I use it with Windows 10 and the drivers installed automatically without any user input.Overall, I’m genuinely happy with this mouse, I think the current price of £24.99 represents good value and for that you get several good features including the awesome RGB lighting effects. It’s great to see HP have put good thought into creating a decent gaming mouse that feels nice to hold, looks great and most importantly allows you to get that precise kill shot from across the map! I have absolutely no issues with recommending this mouse, if you’re in the market for a new one but don’t want to spend a crazy amount of money then this should do you perfectly.

I’m really dubious about HP peripherals as I’ve never had good experience with them (except for Laptops that seem to last ages). The HP Pavilion Gaming Mouse 300 is a large and chunky gaming mouse. It is well constructed and lightweight. The mouse comes with a green cable instead of the boring black. It suits my latest HP laptop as it shares the same ‘green’ theme. The buttons and dial feel tactile. The wheel has a reassuring scrolling motion that means you don’t go whizzing past lots of pages.Once plugged, the Mouse 300 lights up. It has some great effects that are controllable. Under Windows 10 Home 64bit, the drivers installed without any issues. In action, the mouse is very precise Unlike the Mouse 200,the 300 goes up to 5000dpi. I used it on the SIMS 4 and with GIMP (an excellent imaging editing tool that costs nothing). Very precise. The ergonomics are something that I really must praise HP for. The mouse is supremely comfortable for both right and left handed people.I know some potential buyers will think £30 is expensive for a mouse. It isn’t wireless which could be a deal breaker but the level of customisation, accuracy and comfort makes this an excellent mouse.

This mousepad from HP is just as good as most of the other large mousepads I've used. The size alone is great, and the material it's made from makes all movements smooth and comfortable.I'm a big fan of large mousepads - I play games which need rapid, large, mouse movement and the size here means I never run out of usable space. The edging is perfect too, it's non abrasive on my wrist or arm, and there is no catching on the cable of my mouse. The material used is accurate and smooth and is easy to wipe clear of dust or muck, which can accumulate over time. The mouse moves smoothly over the surface and there are no imperfections or bumps which could interrupt use.The HP logo is small enough and well positioned,so that it doesn't interfere with the usage and the mouse works fine on that as well, so it's not a problem to have it there at all.For the price this is a great mousepad - smooth and large surface area - recommended.

Initially thought this would be a great surface, but being cloth, there is, unfortunately, more drag than another logitech hard surface mousepad which tracks ridiculously smoothly. The surface area is a good size however and the mat is easy to roll up and transport without being damaged. I like the usb hub as it makes charging small electronics like kindles and phones more convenient than having to find a usb port on the PC itself. Build seems solid.I personally don't really like the lit up borders but they can help you see when you're going off the edge of the mat. Also extreme gamers tend to like these types of lit up peripherals so as a taste thing,it's marmite. The packaging was extremely strange as the documentation and manuals were sellotaped to the actual packaging, meaning they tore when removed. So odd I had to take a pic!

HP Pavilion Gaming 200 Wired USB Gaming Mouse. So this is more my boy's domain than mine and we have multiple desktops in this house. My boys are avid gamers my youngest lad (14) tested this one and got to say he was fairly impressed with its performance. And got to say he is quite picky and will tell me if he thinks something is a tad naff.It was comfortable to hold and was very responsive. This was quite lightweight and he also liked the light effects. This was also rather a reasonable price considering its brand. This was also really easy to set up it was just plug and play and it was ready to go.we have no complaint really happy with this.

I have been using an old Alienware Gaming mouse for years, and sadly it has come to the end of its life. I was interested to try the HP Gaming one as it looked decent by description. It works instantly, I simply plugged it into the USB on my Windows 10 PC and it lights up like a Christmas Tree! All of the light functions are controlled by a button on the top of the mouse, a lot easier to navigate than my old Alienware one which had supporting software to make it light up.The mouse is very light and comfortable to use, for the price no complaints at all.

A Real Game Changer - this mouse mat (pad) is a good size and my Nephew reported back to say that his gaming mouse tracks beautifully across the surface of this mat. There's plenty of space to manoeuvre so not much lifting the mouse to relocate on the mat which might cost you the game. The added customisable lighting border might seem pointless although aesthetically pleasing but highlights the boundaries of the mat especially when playing games under subdued lighting. The rubberised underside ensures excellent non-slip on any flat surface.

Having tried numerous USB mice for my home office setup and all coming up short, either too small in the hand, too slow, run out of battery to fast or just no connecting at all. A wired mouse seemed the only option.I know this is a gaming mouse, but as other reviewers have mentioned, but don’t let that put you off. It’s perfect for high level, long period office type use. It’s supremely comfortable and very easy to use. Soft to click too.The light up function is novel and looks smart not gawdy.Highly recommended.
