Have a good look around and yo will struggle to improve on the price Amamzon offers on the Hoya 82mm circular polariser. With the name Hoya you ca be confident of its quality. Having felt foolish and trying an unbranded polariser elsewhere I struggled with unwelcome colour-casts, but purchasing the Hoya meant the polarising effect works cleanly and efficiently. The 82mm polariser is a big slab of glass, so the handy, sturdy carrying case keeps it secure when the skies turn grey and you wait for the next time when reflections need taming and blue skies need enriching.

Don't get me wrong, this is no instance cure for a beginner trying to avoid blown out skies. But get your exposure right and this will certainly help get the nice deep blue you want. Also great avoiding reflections with water and follicly challenged heads.

An excellent addition to the Digital Camera accessory collection. An excellently engineered product that does exactly what is is described as doing. Use this on a day where there are blue skies and white clouds and you will be amazed by the results.

Great peice of equipment. I used it during my holidays whilst in Florence. The weather was very bright and sunny which could have caused my images to be overexposed, however the use of the filter resulted in me producing beautiful vibrant pictures.

Does the job just fine. I actually wanted a linear polarizer (which is what I thought I was buying) but this circular one is as good as any I've used at a fraction of the price I've paid in the past so I kept it anyway. Now to find a linear one!

This is a bought in filter from a third party manufacturer badged as Hoya, the third party was a well respected lens manufacturer so the glass still looks good quality but the mount and thread are distinctly rougher than older Hoya filters

Good value for a polarizing filter. You can pay an awful lot more and without a doubt get a better quality filter. However, for the money it works well enough both optically and from the viewpoint of thread/build quality.

Whilst more expensive filters are no doubt available, I have always found Hoya filters perfectly good for my amateur photography. Professionals may have a different opinion!!! Good delivery / price etc.

Good polarizing filter. Not as good as old ones made in japan, but still, the price is not so high too. It does all the same job, just not as smooth a I would like it to be.

I bought it because I didn't want to pay the price that was being asked for on the high streetI've used it now for a few months and I'm very happy with it's performance

As polarizers go, this is pretty good. As an amateur, I can't really give a detailed breakdown of its pro's and con's but it is certainly better than some manufacturers.

Does the job well and can still attach the lens cap after filter attached to lens so can leave filter on the lens. Easy to remove and reattach if not over tightened.
