This is a great game to play with all your friends and family (ages 14+) that has a very simple concept. Basically it is, as the name suggests, the sort of trivia quiz that you might get in a pub with various categories to answer questions from. The game comes nicely presented in a fairly sturdy box inside of which you will find; 4 different coloured sets of question cards, 2 flip scoreboards, a pad of pre-printed sheets on which to write answers, two pencils and a well produced booklet of rules and answers to the questions. Two teams are formed and turns are taken to ask questions from the cards, the answers are written down on the pads provided and scores are kept on the flip scoreboards. The questions are very much general knowledge and some may feel that they could be a bit more challenging although, it is a very true saying that "any question to which you don't know the answer is difficult" - personally I found a lot of them very challenging :).What makes this game so good, in my opinion, is the fact that it has a familiar format and it doesn't require loads of setting up or preparation in order to play it. The one limitation is the number of questions available but perhaps, as with other games, there may be "expansion packs" available in the future or you could just make up your own. I feel that this is one of those games that will stand the test of time.

This game is good old fashioned fun in box - as billed there's all you need to host your own quiz - a cute little pad to complete your answers in the different categories and 4 decks of double sided cards, giving 400 sets of 5 questions in all, in 8 categories. The questions range in difficulty, just like a real pub quiz eg " which is the longest river in Scotland" and "Who directed the film "the good, the bad and the ugly"?". The categories for from TV, to Science, Music, Sports, Places, Food and Drink, History and Arts & Literature.I love the stand up flip over scorer, and as a game it works well - the age guideline of 14 + seems reasonable. Everything, including the cards,is well made and there is a good range of questions. I find it slightly frustrating to have to find the answers in an answer booklet - perhaps a future edition could have an app to search these, or maybe I'm missing the point as it's old fashioned fun in a box.We enjoy Cheatwell games, in particular we play this one often

Trivia games when I was growing up were more akin to a competitive sport and taken very seriously. And there wasn't even the Internet to act as final arbiter so many a game finished with wailing and dire mutterings...This trivial game is in the format of a pub quiz for two teams and the box contains:two score boardsquestion cards for eight categories: sport and pastimes; music; science and nature; tv and film; places; food and drink; history; arts and literatureanswer sheetstwo pencilsbooklet with rules and answersThe questions are fairly straightforward but it would be spoilerish to give examples. Players can play a joker in one round which doubles the points gained in that round.A nice if unoriginal addition to the games cupboard. And if you're running a quiz for friends or an organisation, it's probably worth the money to save time on doing the research!

This is an up to date quiz game in the tradition of Trivial Pursuit which is good for family games, particularly with Christmas on the way.No problem with complicated rules as this plays very much like the standard Pub Quiz. You have two teams and the box contains the question cards, notepads and pencils to answer with and the rules. As with the more famous Trivial Pursuit this game will have a limited shelf life if you play with the same teams, as you are limited by the number of questions but there are 400 question cards in the box with 5 questions each and there are 8 categories of questions.Good game to get in when entertaining your friends.

With a tip of the hat to Trivial Pursuit, this game is a quiz with 8 subjects and two teams each with a scorecard each to show your tally and lots of questions to answer. Categories are: TV & Film, Science & Nature, Music, Sports & Pastimes, Places, Food & Drink, History, Arts & Literature.Sheets to record your answers are supplied. An instruction book also contains all the answers. This game is great fun and within the limits of the supplied questions you can really have a great night with friends or family. You can of course take this too seriously, but I really cannot see a negative side to this game.Thoroughly recommended!

Designed for two or more teams, this is a fun trivia game that's got a decent set of questions - 8 categories with 50 questions each. It's easy to set up and use, you get sheets to write answers on, a pair of flip score cards and a how to play guide that also contains the answers to questions. It's essentially Triv, but without the wedges and board - no bad thingIt's ideal for a few people after dinner and it's fun to play for anyone 16 or older, it's easy to pick up and dip into, and the only disadvantage is that if you play it frequently then you're going to get through the questions quickly!Recommended

With Christmas soon approaching, I am sure many families will be looking for a good game to play. You will not go too far wrong with this one.My family and I had great fun playing this and will definitely be playing it again soon. The game is basic - you split into two teams and simply answer questions on a variety of themes such as food and drink and entertainment. The team with the most correct answers wins. The questions are challenging and interesting and the team style aspect of the game makes for a lot of banter and competitiveness.Good fun guaranteed!

This is very much a standard quiz board game with a good, varied selection of questions in eight different categories. There has been a good fist made of supplying 'new' questions, but there's still plenty of the old stand-bys in there - which is why I've not given five stars.Glossy - but no-frills presentation has kept the price down and the game represents decent value for money.Overall this is sure to provide plenty of good laughs, and much rivalry and argument after the Christmas meals are over.

Good solid box for storage and does what it says on the box.Flip charts for scoring, no pencils needed.Ideal for two teams and we used it for post dinner times games with the extended family.Good quality and well made cards. Fun to play, not difficult, so all ages can play, need to be above 15 though for basic knowledge, hopefully acquired.Questions not too hard, but I wish there were more so it can be used more times.Good family game, ideal for post Xmas dinner with the family.

Great value group entertainment in a box. Well thought out and executed and so many question cards this will last for many, many games. The only slight negative we, as a group of 14 (played 2 x 7 persons team) thought the questions are a little too tough. That doesn't dull the fun but would have felt more rewarded if we didn't feel we were taking part in University Challenge or Eggheads! Still worth the purchase price for get-togethers.

There are eight categories with 50 questions in each. You get all the answers, score sheets, answer sheets and they are all good quality. It is for two teams answering questions in all the categories, including, literature, sport, pastimes, TV,arts, films, food and drink, history and science and nature. Its great fun and surprising how competitive you get. This would be a great gift or great fun at xmas.

Pub Quiz is like Trivial Pursuit with up to date questions. every Christmas evening we gather at my brother's house and play cards, dominoes and board games. This Pub Quiz game will be a great addition to the ones we play. We have enough for two teams so can't wait to have a go.

A game to be played in teams, some easier questions and some that need some serious thought. We played this New Year’s Eve and everyone joined in and had a laugh .Arrived before due date

Son wanted it for christmas and we have played it a few times but have to say the questions are pretty hard compared to other adult board games.
